I visited Lydias loft today and was treated very disrespectfully. I had the door slammed in my face 3 times, my child’s hood was pulled off for a temperature check and my child should not have been touched at all and what was going on should have been explained to me before pointing the sensor at my face with no introduction.To go in depth, I was told by one staff member (a woman with blonde hair), that I could come in after the temperature check and told by another to “get out because I needed to put a mask on before entrance”. When I asked to put my infant son down to put my mask on, Darlene pointed to a chair outside the door on the porch and proceeded to close the door in my face. I am under the impression that this organization is ran by a church and as a Christian, the amount of disrespect and the negative energy I received is despicable and disheartening and we ended up leaving without receiving the help we came for because I don’t want anything from an organization that does not exhibit the qualities that make people like me that need help, feel welcome and make me and others feel like they are happy to be doing the work that God has called them to do. If I could give this organization ZERO stars, I would.

Any way, I wanted you to know that the community appreciates your hard work and dedication. We recognize how hard it is. so, 5 stars, all around!

I love what they do, how they help the community and the volunteers are super nice. We used to take very nice items from when we cleaned out estates to Lydias Loft but havent been back in about a year and a half because of a policy change. I was dropping off books, a mix of different media and household. They took everything but the Christian items. I was told that Christian books and media were no longer accepted because they did not want to seem as if they were for only one religion or belief. I was so incredibly sad to hear that a policy change would include removing God from yet another place where people are in need and can receive help. On a personal level and as a business we choose to give to places that are not afraid to stand in Gods word and do His work in His name. God is not a religion, He is all about relationship. His Word says, What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, yet lose or forfeit his very self? If anyone is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. But I tell you truthfully, some who are standing here will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:26Do not compromise yourself for the sake of the worlds opinion or views. What use is good works if they are not done in His name or to give Him glory?

It was nice to be the only one in there. This is due to the COVID restrictions

A place where they help those who need very clean and the people who attend the place are very friendly if you can donate, you would help them a lot
