My first visit with Birkdale Hearing proved to be a very pleasant visit. I was given a comprehensive hearing test and then provided with the current technology in hearing aids. I have worn only 1 hearing aid in my left ear for over 45 years and I was amazed at how technology has advanced so much in the past 8 years since I purchased my hearing aid. I agreed on a new hearing aid they recommended and will work through my insurance company to benefit from their wonderful hearing aid benefit at a great reduction. The staff was very friendly and attentive and didnt rush me through the process to decide on a hearing aid purchase.

I am age 88. I flew jet aircraft for 39 years. Eight years ago I visited a large grocery and furniture discount store which had a small section selling hearing aids, I had two months for testing their hearing products. I made six visits in two months for adjustments after which I returned the product. for a refund. Seven years ago I found Dr. Kelly Knolhoff now at Birkdale Audiology. She is a trained Audiologist and knows that hearing loss is not static...We continua to lose hearing every year at different rates in our ears as we age, This requires periodic testing and adjustments by trained specialists who know what they are doing. One month ago I upgraded my hearing aids to accommodate the serious loss in hearing efficiency over the past seven years. Looking at the graphic display of that loss in each ear was shocking. The new hearing aids are providing a much clearer and intelligible sound presentation.

Dr. Kelly and the Birkdale audiology staff are the best in the area and have accommodated me well and made it an awesome experience. Birkdale Audiology is without a doubt the best hearing professional Ive encountered. With a decade of experience, Ive been amazed at the technology. With that said, it only works with someone with the proper training and ability to fit the right model with correct settings to align to the individual needs. Dr. Kelly Knolhoff possesses all the skill and unbelievable patience to get her patients hearing to the best they can. Shell balance cost with performance. An expert with health care insurance and managing to the individuals needs. Ive jumped from well respected Doctors who unfortunately could not avail the time needed to set up for the individual needs to lower cost providers who lack training and the latest technology. I just wish I would have gone to Birkdale Audiology from the beginning...it wouldve saved a lot of frustration and more importantly, enabling me to hear all the great things I was missing.
