Great place to buy plants. Went in the office first according to the sign and Seth and Marlee pointed me to the right zones for getting some screening plants to block my neighbors. I also needed some Azaleas and perennials for my front yard which Marlee helped me pick out. One of the guys outside helped load me up. I was able to drive around the whole nursery and load my plants and look around. Very nice place and staff was very helpful. Will probably be back to get some mulch later but definitely coming back for plants whenever i need them.

Wow! Probably the largest and best landscape supply place around Huntersville and North Charlotte. An excellent selection of shrubbery and trees. So many trees - large, small, flowering, evergreen, deciduous... anything you want, theyve got it! Nice people too.

Shepherds Nursery is a great place . I needed ideas for shrubs around my house . Marlee worked with me and took me around to look and pick out the ones I wanted . Then they helped me load it up. Was very impressed .So impressed my husband went back and bought more .

Worst place ever. I had to give ONE star. I agree with latest reviewer, this nursery mainly deals with contractors, they could care less about the regular home gardener. How do I know? I walked around for about 30 minutes, no one bothered to even speak to me. Yes they have lots of items, but the parking lot is far away from the shrubs and trees, so I guess you have to carry the 70lb tree over to your car, and dont even ask how you pay for items, because like I said no one bothered.

Wow, scores of dying shrubs and trees. Poor selection of small plants but lots of large ones. Place caters to contractors not regular people. They sell to pike nursery. Prices are as everyone else

I had a good experience with them. Large selection and knowable staff. I worked with Betty who even stopped by my home to make sure Crepe Myrtle would fit in my front yard. Their top soil was priced better than Lowes. Delivered my tree right to where in was needed to be planted. I would use them again.

This is my first review ever on Google because I do not believe in going out of my way to put others down. My goal is simply to help homeowners avoid the level of frustration I have felt the last 6 months. In our new construction home, Shepards has been handling the landscaping for the neighborhood. We selected the location we did for the for the size yard we wanted and we have been sorely disappointed in the quality of work done and responsiveness of the staff. There is a clear problem with drainage (as you can see in the photos after a normal amount of rain - about 1 hour of consistent rain) which they claim is fine, and about 7 houses in our neighborhood never had the grass take. Our grass never took where the yard holds water and they refuse to take ownership of the problem. I have had several other landscaping companies come in and all tell me that the drainage plan is extremely poor and sod is the lowest quality you can get. This is not what we were sold on.I would not recommend you use this company simply for the lack of response and the lack of ownership of their work. I understand the challenges and unreliability of landscaping and I even understand some skepticisms around how I have taken care of the lawn BUT I have been asking for help on the drainage issue since we moved in and the first rain came. The battle continues and their in inability to act on their own mistakes to correct the situation is beyond frustrating. Would you want to accept this from the company you choose?

The owners & staff were very nice. A very nice gentleman on staff drove me through the nursery educating me on plants & shrubs as I am not plant knowledgeable. I requested “a low maintenance shrub with minimal watering for my front yard flowerbed that could withstand direct & very extreme sunlight.” Based on the gentleman’s recommendation, I purchased 2 3 gallon Soft Touch Hollies. I planted with the fertization tablets provided by the nursery & have water about 1in. per week per the gentleman instructions. It’s now 3 weeks later & my Soft Touch Hollies are dying, brownish leaves all over & they look so brittle.I’m not so sure that the gentleman on staff suggested the correct plant for my need & I’m just really disappointed in the 2 Soft Touch Hollies that I purchased from this nursery since they don’t offer a warranty & I can’t get them replaced.

Love the service I get every time I visit and they offer solutions to some of my questions.

Purchased a $200 dogwood tree and it had very few leaves on it when it came and then proceeded to die. Neither Terry nor the landscaper guarantee our work so we are out $500 and they are very rude and unpleasant to deal with.

I have done business with Shepperds for many yrs but after numerous botched plant orders i wont be going back. If you are a landscaper and time is valuable dont depend on this nursery. Sorry to have to write this but ive had it up to here ( im holding my hand very high)!
