Minus 10 stars for this dump!This is a den of thieves. Came out to repair a microwave. It broke again within the 3 month warranty period. When we called, they first denied that they had even done the work. We sent a copy of the receipt. They did not return our call. When we called back, Jasmine, the receptionist said the part was no longer available. So we were SOL. How does a receptionist know this technical stuff? Seems like a canned answer to avoid standing by their work and word. At least send the tech out to see what the problem is. When I asked for my money back, she rudely shouted at me and hung up.I will now file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the State of California and a claim in small claims court

I highly recommend this company for appliance repairs. Our GE Monogram refrigerator went out on Saturday and our home warranty company assigned them to repair it. I called first thing Monday morning and they were kind enough to squeeze us in on Wednesday. Their technician Lenny showed up in the allotted time, was very nice and courteous. He diagnosed the issue, a bad circuit board, had it in his truck and was done in 30 minutes. Anyone that has had to be without a refrigerator knows what a stressful time that is. Thank you CA Appliance. I will request your company on any future repairs. Mike

CALIFORNIA APPLIANCE REPAIR, INC is a fraud company. They work with insurance companies. So if you ever are assigned this company please call your insurance company to get vendor changed. The routine of the technician sent by this company is to avoid work at all cost. He will find the flimsiest excuse to not do your fix and worst he will lie in his report. The most recent bad experience i had was for a blown fuse in my microwave range. The technician did not fix as he wanted to go home and was late for our appointment. Worst is he lied that the issue was caused by abuse of the microwave. So imagine trying to abuse a fuse that is hidden and almost impossible to get to. So i had to work with insurance to get another look and this time they sent another vendor who fixed the issue in less then 5 minutes. This is not a one-off experience with CALIFORNIA APPLIANCE REPAIR, INC. Previously also I had a similar experience with them but I gave them the benefit of doubt. But now I am convinced they are the most unethical and lying company in Southern Californa. So save yourself the headache and be careful

Worst repair shop I’ve ever seen. The techs have no idea what they are doing and will tell you so. There is a good chance they’ll just yell at you when they arrive. The reception staff is the absolutely worst imaginable. Completely rude and hostile. Completely inept. The only possible positive thing to say is they are the best example of a horribly run business.

Stay away... stay far away. This company was assigned by American Home Shield to fix a problem I have with my gas range. It took them 2 days to contact me, and 4 more days to schedule an appointment for service. I stayed home all day waiting for my 10am-2pm four-hour window. Around 1:30pm they called to say their repairmans car wont start. They wanted to reschedule for Wednesday, 5 days from now, instead of later today or tomorrow. Totally useless company.

Serviced my ice maker in the fridge. The wire that he repaired was not properly crimped together and the wired were not properly wrapped up to prevent further wiring damage. It came apart conveniently shortly after the warranty. Very shoddy work. Fidelity Home Warranty sent them and say they are on their preferred list, probably because they got another $75.00 to send another repairman out and could care less about removing companies like this from their authorized repair companies. The new repairman said it should never had been repaired like that and is coming back with the parts to do the job right.

Our microwave was working perfectly until one day it made a pop and quit. We called Fidelity Home Warranty and they sent out this company,.Wished I had read their reviews first but you would think the warranty company would use reputable contractors.Upon their initial visit they didnt have the necessary parts and needed additional labor to remove the unit because it was a built-in. They returned approx. a week later and proceeded to attempt the repairs. They struggle at first to remove the unit but finally did and replaced the defective part. After re-installing the microwave it started to make a howling noise so they removed the unit again to repair that issue. When they left everything appeared to be working fine.Shortly thereafter the microwave started to make the howling noise again and upon closer inspection we also noticed that the plastic housing on the door was cracked. 1st they said it was not cracked when they left then later claimed it was already cracked when they arrived.After arguing with both the Home Warranty company and California Appliance Repair, Inc. there was no way to prove they cracked the door and they claimed that the howling issue was separate and not covered because the unit still heated the products.After much arguing over the telephone, California Appliance Repair agreed to come back to the house but claimed they could not make it till after the holidays and because they needed to schedule 2 guys. They did come back (a month later) as they promised but with only 1 tech. This time he was very rude and tested the unit to ensure it would produce heat but said this howling noise was different than the previous noise and was therefore a different issue that would not be covered.I feel that whatever repairs were attempted the 1st time created the howling noise and this company apparently does not stand behind their workmanship.I obviously would never use this company again and recommend you dont either. I will let everyone I know to stay away. That goes for the home warranty company as well.

Terrible place. Even if your home insurance refers you to this place, don’t accept it. Ask for another company. The people are rude and snippy. Their customer service stinks to high heaven

Can I do less than one star? They have come out three times already and my refrigerator is still leaking water all over the floor. Its as if they are guessing on what is wrong and just randomly replacing parts, yet the problem is not fixed. Not only do they not fix the problems, the repairman is RUDE, very disrespectful and always in a hurry and wont let me speak my concerns, tells me Im wrong and I dont know what I am talking about. Save yourself more trouble and go with someone else!!

Very unprofessional and unhelpful person was send to repair my fridge!His name is Alex.Asked him in his professional opinion how long the fridge will work after the repair. The answer I got: “Do you know if tomorrow you will be alive”!!!!!!! I don’t know!!!!!” Showed me the part that he changed and said mechanical problem now is working tomorrow who knows”I thought he was joking but No! The whole time did not say a word and did not move when we had problems moving the fridge to connect to the outlet. He was enjoying the moment his Customer had problems moving it!!!Absolute creep and disgusting presence and interaction!Do not use that company! They are so unprofessional!!!!

If I could give this company zero stars I would. Fidelity homeowners insurance sent them out to fix our appliance that was working intermittently. They replaced a part that didnt really have anything to do with the symptoms. Had the same issue again the next time we used the appliance. Fidelity sent them out a second time. The way California Appliance Repair worded their reports to Fidelity made it look like it was a seperate issue, which it was not, so fidelity wanted to charge us another deductible. Called California appliance repair and spoke to the office manager about the problem. She said it was a different issue with our appliance, which it clearly wasnt, and ended up hanging up on me saying she was tired of wasting her breathe because she knew she was caught in a lie. Completely dishonest company that was just looking to get paid for a second service call instead of coming out to fix the original issue like a stand up company should.

Washer repair---tech was LennyHe did not use a drop cloth or towels to clean his hands and he set the washer tub on my rug (1 week old) and I gave him a towel to use which he left folded up with all the grease on the inside. He left grease all over the floor which I was able clean up but not the rug. I had called the boss and he never returned my call....I thought they could at least deduct $20 for the cost of the rug. I called numerous times and finally I was told to sue them if I wanted to .....they were not going to do anything.USE THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK

Horrible experience.The tech came out and was extremely rude and did not accomplish anything during his visit. Tech refused to cover his shoes or take them off and filed an illegitimate report saying the appliance was cracked and over 10 years old, when it was in perfect physical condition and isnt even 3 years old.If you want to be disrespected by an egotistic person then this is the company for you.Cant believe companies like this exist and are still in business.

2 reviews1.0 star rating 5/31/2017I had to use this company because of the Warranty company but will never use them again. The technician came to my house to fix a leaky dishwasher twice. First time he changed the water level switch cover and left without checking to see if the issue is resolved or not. When I tested the washer was still leaking so he came back after few weeks with an attitude. He did not wanted to stay for even 10 minutes for the washer to go through the cycles so he could see the leak and left by saying there is no leak. To prove that the washer is leaking I made a video of the washer leaking and sent it to his office with an email and complained about technicians lack of professionalism and technical expertise.

The words people to do business with the tech was rude since he came to my address the guy was send from home shield insurance to check my dryer and washer. a disaster total. this guy came open my dryer and left it like that. please people don,t waste your money with this company. hire a proffessional may be more spencive but im sure they will work better then california appliances repair.. again dont waste your money

1st time this guy came he was clumsy and very rude. He’s there for a microwave goes on the tell me how cheap the other appliances are.Yesterday same guy comes back my husband says he drops the microwave door twice. Well not only does he drop the door he breaks a cup bangs up the cabinet. If not through the home warranty I’d never call this company againOur grade is F-

Took a week for the repairman to come check my dishwasher as part of a home warranty claim. repairman, upon arrival, was stumped as to where to park given that it was street sweeping day. the other side of the street, of course. he inspected my dishwasher for 5 min, said that it looked like a pre-existing condition, and sure enough, the warranty claim is being rejected. not a great experience.

I had Gas Dryer having foul smell, had to turn it off for a week waiting for the appointment, Finally my Home warranty sent me a Technician named Alex from California Appliance Repair inc. Very rude, arrogant, who do not listen, Right !!! who cares for all those if he can fix our problem, Sorry !!!, not only didnt fix my problem told me to get someone for second opinion if you need. Worst experience,bad service and customer interface. Good luck folks, if your home warranty companies forces you to use these guys.

The technician that came to our house and was rude, dishonest, and disrespectful. He reported that our 3 year old washer was 10 years old and cannot be repaired. He was sent by the warranty company. Absolute trash.
