Michaels as a whole is great, I love their selection, their ever changing design and decor pieces and most especially their jewelry department. Prices are fair and the merchandise is of good quality. This location in particular seems to always have a staffing problem, the last couple time Ive shopped here there has only been one cashier and many guests in line, staff was hard to find out the floor as well but I dont generally need help on the sales floor anyway.

Got some frames at a good price and supplies for my kids volcano project..

Their a good store to find pretty much everything you need for arts and crafts sewing and other things. Somewhat well stocked easy parking fast checkout.

Good selection of items, they just didnt have real wood frames for pictures.

I cant rave enough about this Michaels location. I live closer to the Lakewood Michaels, but always find myself making my way out to Edinger. Its always clean, fully stocked and visually pleasing.The aisles are large and spacious. Especially during the pandemic, this was a plus. They have a lot more items than other locations. I believe that maybe due to the size of this location. Items are always in stock and there seems to be a lot more versatility between what is offered creating more options. We all know we love options!I always order online and use the pickup in person option. I do this just to ensure they have what I need before I make the trip. I still spend a couple hours just shopping around prior to going to the corner of the store to pick up my online order.I do feel like the online pickup inside the store could be more efficiently organized. Although its not bad, it can be frustrating for somebody who doesnt know how it works. It always feels a bit awkward standing in the corner of the store in front of a closed door pushing a red button for service. There is no counter. I believe this may be the classroom area entrance. I always seem to be waiting a few minutes for somebody to come and help. It seems as if there is no designated employee assisting. Whoever is available will just run over and help when they are able.I believe there were a few times the button was not working at all, as after a minute or two I would go to the front cashier and ask them to send somebody. I have found it easier to do my shopping first, and at the checkout, let the cashier know that I am now ready to pick up my online order and if they can have somebody meet me at that part of the store. Maybe if they just include online pickup with the cashier section at checkout. Id rather wait in the checkout line and have them bring my item to me there. That way it cuts the whole portion of having to walk to the corner of the store and wait. Hoping somebody hears the ding or sees you waving around.This doesnt negatively impact my entire experience, but I will take off a star for this as there is a need for improvement on that procedure. I believe online order pickup could have possibly been something new that was just implemented during the pandemic and needs a little tweaking to make it more effective and efficient and an overall smooth experience. I believe it would make the experience better for the customer but also the employees so theyre not scrambling around finding somebody to help when someone shows up to pick up an online order in the corner of the store.They also have the online order option where they will take your order out to your car, but I have not utilized that. I still like to get out and shop a bit lol!The cashiers at the front have always been pleasant. Always a two-part greeting and engaging. Something so easy about just getting in and out simply and pleasantly.They also hold art classes that are free to the public. I have not tried them yet, but hope to.Parking is abundant. Easy peasy.I also love the Michaels rewards program. You earn rewards bucks to spend with every large purchase. I definitely take advantage of that in comparison to other arts and crafts stores.They also have a secret gem clearance section in the back left hand side of the store. I find a lot of good items for my Cricut there!Overall, my favorite Michaels location to date.

I was just here buying two necklace displays, I paid with my debit card, it was processing. The female cashier said to me your card was declined as it was clearly Approved. I went with a specific goal, to have a graduation picture framed for hanging and left the store with extra products.

Complete selection of extensive choice for all crafting supplies friendly staff what more do you want? Good parking at this location too. Probably 4.8 stars because one particular variant of a wooden dice set I wanted they were out of stock.

I love the store cuz its clean and theres somebodys always there to help you Im never been an item that I didnt have in stock they always stocked up. Plus you get some good deals on some sales or clearance.

My only complaint at this store specifically is the canvas associate who works there. I didnt get to catch his name but and when I approached the computer area to sign in where it says Customer Login Email he immediately came by and said Hey come on man you dont just touch the computer you should know better and was glaring at me as if he owns the computer. And please note: there was no sign whatsoever that said Please ask for assistance or Do not touch. Had there been a sign that specifically indicated that then I wouldnt have approached the computer in the first place. But for whatever reason this associate was very rude when I was trying to create a custom frame and seemed to have an attitude problem as if he didnt want to work there. My fiancee and I were really hoping to find a good custom frame but ended up just getting a different one due to this associates poor customer service. I highly suggest this Michaels finds a different canvas associate to take over because this gentleman seems like hes worked there for too long with his poor attitude and service.

One of my favorite locations. The selection is great and their employees are way more friendly than other locations I’ve been too.I’m not the brightest bulb when it comes to store pick up or asking questions and they always make me feel understood. They don’t make me feel stupid and are not condescending. They always make sure you’re happy during your visit.

Nicely organized, well stocked craft store. We arrived to no line, so we were allowed in right away. The lines were smooth running, not a long wait to check out. We used our coupons on already highly discounted items. When we were leaving there was a line outside waiting to be let in. Really good Michaels experience.

I still like Michaels but their selection has dwindled and the staff is far from interested in being there to say the least. And somebody needs to turn the lights down cuz I get a sunburn if Im in there longer than 30 minutes

Always helpful. A gentleman asked if I found everything. We proceeded to talk about how everyone is always helpful in Huntington Beach store. We introduced each other. Well I was surprised to meet Matt, VP of Western states. He spoke very highly of his HB store. It was a pleasure to meet him.

Michaels is a great place to come for art supplies and craft supplies. Its been here for as long as I can remember and Ive been going here since I was doing high school projects, and now Im bringing my high school daughter in my youngest daughter here to do projects. We bought sewing materials and embroidery materials and tools to make custom face masks. The staff was helpful The store was clean and it felt like a safe environment

Jewelry making items, besides beads, are not being restocked it seems. Less and less of a selection every time I go.

Edinger, Huntington Beach, CAI am impressed with the yarn department. There was a great selection and the stock was well displayed and was easily acceptable. The check out young man was very knowledge, efficient and friendly. For my next yarn projects, I will drive over to this store rather go to the closer Costa Mesa store.

The morning I was there...I was looking for quick school supplies to set up a room for tutoring a 5 yr old. All of the associates on the floor were very helpful in guiding me to the best areas for my needs!!! The clerk @ check out fir very helpful re: my rewards, etc on my cell.

I have a 50-year-old DeGrazia that needs remounting and some clean up. Carol, the frame specialist, was great: patient answering my questions (even though she was quite busy), offering suggestions, all the while being kind, cheerful, and humorous. I havent gotten the item back yet, so perhaps Ill write a second review for the quality of the work. Overall, Michaels is a great place to shop.

They also have kids toys and model cars for the hobby enthusiast. If youre lucky, you may even catch me working in the morning hours when the store opens. 😉

I like this store a lot, but have to say at the start of COVID (evenbefore), the sudden layoffs of most long time employees made me less of a fan. After reading other reviews to me it sounds like Michaels employees could use a tune up on cultural sensitivity training...

I use to love Michaels they had everything you ever wanted but not so much anymore with the pandemic going on, they didnt have what I was looking for last time I was there.

Came in to purchase a frame collage for a bday present. Good selection of frames, better than Home Goods down the street that we visited just before. Was on sale for half off, plus an additional 25% off with an online coupon. Sweet deal. A lot of people in the checkout line but seems like they staffed up for the busier holiday season. Parking was crowded but to be expected around this time in December.

I like to come here to buy some artistic materials as well as Christmas decoration because it carries almost everything I look for. The aisle staffs are polite and helpful. The check out is super organized and quick!

This review pertains only to the manager there named Matthew. On April 9, 2020, I came came in a hurry from Joanns - they did not have the vinyl transfer I was looking for - only to be confronted by Matthew who proceeded to yell and scold me for coming in. Looking back, I realized that they were only doing curbside service only unlike Joanns. He explicitly shouted cant you see thats what all those (the signs and shelves) are for?! I told him that he did not have to shout at me; however, I ended up getting berated again. I told him again that he did not have to yell at me in which he replied I want to!. In frustration, I called him an @$$hole (excuse my french) and walked towards my car. He walked after me asking what did you say? and tried to taunt me to come back as if hes ready to fight me.Reflecting back, this is what I make of the situation. Matthew is too aggressively violent and impatient to be in the role of manager at a Michaels store. This is the same store that I have bought vases to put flowers in for my girlfriend on Valentines Day, and I was very well treated by lady who helped me that day. Im also a doctor who put my life on the line everyday, so I am aware of the stress of dealing with customers or individuals with this pandemic going on. This does not excuse this managers case. Matthews action and behavior is likely spurred on by his racism towards Asian Americans; this is evident in the way he talked down to me upon meeting me at the entrance. Instead of informing me that they only offered curbside pick up, he decided to yell at me and even pursued after to me seeking a fight.As Im writing this review down, Im seeking legal advice from my peers in the law field. I do not wish another person of color to be walking into this store and be treated like this again by this man.

I love this store. Very knowledgeable staff. Extremely friendly and helpful. I am always finding good deals on my craft items. I love the calendar planners they have. I have to plan lots of events for work and the calendar planners help me plan two years out. This is a large store so you can find lots of items the smaller stores dont have.

I am a craft hoarder so i go to Michaels (sometimes) three times a week! (I am trying to limit myself) there is a Hobby Michaels, Lobby and Joanns a block away from each other amd 10 minutes away from home... i do notice alwaysgoing back to Michaels because of their coupons. They offer 40, 50 and 60 better than the other 2 stores which most of the time offer 40% off. As for staff, they are nice, the greet people as we come in, and are knowledgeable and help/offer suggestions when needed. We really had great experience at Michaels. We had reason to ask a young lady for assistance and she was very helpful with a great attitude. When we checked out the young lady at the register was very friendly. Seems they hire and/or train their employees well!

I love Michales for arts and crafts basics I cant find at more local Mom and Pop stores. This store is partially clean and easy to navigate. I most recently went in because I wanted locking pin backs and was able to easily figure out where they were in about 30 seconds. They also have an interesting selection of small, inexpensive toys near the checkout lines.

Came here to shop for Christmas decorations. Many items already marked down to half price! I bought tablecloth, cards, and wine glasses. Staff is helpful and friendly even with store being super busy. There are table centerpieces that are made by store employees. Love the creative touch put in by all.

Nothing bad to say about the best arts n crafts store on the planet. I give 5 stars not for there expensive prices but for there amazing ability to have a huge store in almost every city. Impressive.

The store was filled with customers shopping for Christmas deals and (amazingly) the line moved quickly.However, I was meet with empty shelves when looking for supplies to make homemade gifts rather than decorations.Job well done by their staff!

The staff here are so wonderful and friendly! This place is also dog-friendly and I enjoyed taking my dog over here to get what we needed at a great discount.

I asked one of the employees where something was, I showed him a picture, and he directed me to a totally wrong area, even though I told him what it was related to. He said because of the color of the packaging, they were all in that area only. I went to the spot where I thought it would be, and sure enough, there were MANY others items with the same packaging and I found what I was looking for. When I told the girl at the checkout that maybe he should be taught a little better, she was just like, oh sorry. Hopefully she said something to her Manager!?

Decent grocery store with some good deals

This store is bigger than most Michaels store. Anytime Im looking for anything in particular, I usually find it here. The workers are somewhat helpful, but for whatever reason, theyre following me around as if Im trying to steal something rather than actually asking me if I need help. Cashiers are hit or miss on friendliness, sometimes I get someone super helpful and they make recommendations, where others are kinda blah.

Always a great selection, especially when Im not sure exactly what craft item Im looking for. Browsed and wandered a bit. Could use better signage but thankful additional cash registers were opened.

This is one of the larger locations so they have a lot of unique products that done Michaels may not carry. Very well stocked, clean and nice staff. Help is hard to find if you need it but they are helpful when you do find them. Quick check out.

Great store located across the street from the Bella terra shopping plaza. Lots of options here especially because the store is usually fully stocked.We found excellent gift baskets here which we were able to design and decorate. Great store with good service.

This Michaels is a charming and homey place as many Michaels are. It has plenty of craft supplies however, with Michaels, I can never find what I need. Anyways this store is a solid choice if you need arts and crafts.

Every single thing in this store is way over priced. The employees there are very shy, so having a question is having to run around the entire store and then back track to get help. But they have the best selection for everything. For that they get 5 stars.

Great to get art supplies and when I came there was great sales for gifts. Went her to get gifts and people loved it! But makers were bought and one side was dried out which is a downside. I dont know how much everything should cost, but it fairly expensive. Came back throughout the years, but not much. Think its great but the price is high. Great selection of things and always find something good and new every time. 8/10

Great for all your crafty and rustic item needs! They have pretty much everything from popsicle sticks to yarn to glue and paint. Lots of fun holiday decor as well.

Just got a one of kind special art qork matted in a frame and they did a beautiful job!

I love it here. My creative juices overflow when I visit. Bring a shopping list! If you dont, expect to pay and walk out with half a small stores worth of inventory. Also check out the Michaels app, it saves me a ton of time on using their coupons.
