Jim (owner) was an incredibly helpful and nice man and helped repair my car when I ran into unexpected repair needs. He sent me pictures and messaged me throughout the process. Could not recommend this place more!

Jim is the owner at Sigma Auto Repair. His work is exemplary and priced well! When gathering quotes at other facilities, he was less expensive but provided excellent service. I had an a/c condenser replaced on a Porsche. Even though his prime business is not German cars, he was able to change the condenser. He even picked me up to get my car from my house! If you live in the area, I recommend this business for your auto needs.

After being a customer of Sigma Auto Repair and a friend of the owner, Cemal Balat, for more than 2 years, I can say hands down that they are the most trustworthy auto mechanic shop in Orange County. Honest,friendly and professional place

These guys are the best most knowledgeable and honest mechanics I have ever encountered. I usually fix my own vehicles. But Jim is amazing, and ends up saving me $$, since he always knows whats wrong. I like my old 2007 Aspen, and want to keep it on the road - with Jims help it runs like new! When I repair my vehicles, I sometimes take far too long if I do not have the right tool or if I just cannot locate the problem, so I replace parts unnecessarily trying to find the problem. Jim never does that! Honest to a fault too. Most recently, I was driving to Sigma for rough idling and misfire issues, and someone ran a red light and clipped my bumper. Jim fixed everything fast, below the estimate! My insurance guy got involved for the bumper damage, and said Sigma is honest, fast, and fair - Jim handled all the insurance issues too. Back on the road in record time. Plus, Jim also found and fixed another developing engine and AC problem I did not even know I had - and was STILL BELOW the original estimate. I fix my own vehicle far less often these days. Thanks Jim! Customer for life!

I must tell you that this is the very best place I have ever had or worked with automobiles. Jim is fantastic. He is group are extremely knowledgeable and he is FAIR on everything! He has actually given me things / service just because he thought it was the thing to do... example replaced the battery in my key fob for free! Not that its an expensive item but, who would just realize that it needed it and do it for free? Unbelievable. I will never go anywhere else ever again! He can fix anything! Good stuff Jim!!!!

Jim is awesome. The guys here at the shop know what theyre doing. They take the time to explain to a non car guy like me everything thats needed. He doesnt BS and lets you know what needs to be done, and also what should be done. He doesnt jam problems down your throat, making you spend a ton of money. I would never go anywhere else

I have been taking my car here for service for 3 years. Sigma Auto is the best. Fair and 100% honest. You know when you get that pit feeling in your stomach because you have to get your car repaired? My 2007 SUV has been a favorite vehicle for years, but has recently seen a number of parts wear out, including the radiator, water pump, suspension components (shocks, ball joints, control arms, etc.), and of course brakes, rotors, and miscellaneous other parts and sensors. I usually make all repairs myself since I hate to pay too much for low quality workmanship. But I recently had little time for self repair, and looked around the local shops. I learned about Jim at Sigma, and drove over to talk with him a couple of years ago regarding brakes and rotors, and made the repairs at a fair price, and did terrific work quickly. No baloney, and no sales pitch or up sell attempts! He has more certificates on his wall than my doctor, and was honest about what else really needed repair, and what could wait or was just not necessary. So more recently when my radiator started to leak, I visited and he once again gave me the plain story as to what really needed to be repaired and what could wait. AND THE PRICE! It was about half what the dealership wanted, and at or below the cost estimated by other shops. I love this guy! If I do not have time to repair it myself - I will be back to visit Jim at Sigma. He has to be the best auto diagnostician I have ever met, his rates are fair, and the work is BULLET PROOF. Thank you very much Jim - from here on out, you get all my auto repair business!

Jim at Sigma Auto Repair was referred by a friend who had her car painted here and it looked brand new!! I was so impressed how quickly Jim got back to me and answered all my text questions..He was so honest and even saved me money by buying a used rear mirror on EBay...He went into detail explaining everything he had done to my car. My car runs perfectly now and will have Jim Sigma paint my car in the future. If you want an honest Mechanic, Jim is your guy!!!

Jim is the first person I come to whenever I have a problem on my car. Hes very intelligent and always gets the job done. Jim in Sigma Auto is the ONLY place I will have all my cars serviced and repaired if needed. If Jim maintains your car, it will probably not need a repair anyway. The guy is a genius! I’ve been taking my 2 cars Ford F-250 and BMW convertible and regardless of the service needed (alternator, oil change, brake flush, pads and disc replacement, etc) Jim has been extremely fair on his pricing and has no problem sharing what is a necessity vs what are watch outs.Jim’s a hard working small business man just trying to build a strong reputation of fairness and good quality work.

We sold a part to this shop through eBay on March 21, 2019. Yes, they are purchasing auto parts on eBay to put in your vehicle. Its clear to me they have at least one mechanic who I spoke with this afternoon that cant or wont read the directions that we send out with the part. Instead of reading the installation instructions, he completely ignored them which contained a warning and decided to play around with the part destroying it altogether. His entire auto repair expertise was that he could read an unrelated manual. When he called me by telephone after I emailed him offering legitimate auto repair advice for FREE, he wouldnt even listen to me, swore at me and then blamed my corp and I for him destroying the part. He also didnt care for my reaction to him swearing at me. Always take your vehicle to a reputable shop with ASE CERTIFIED Master Techs. If they are a shop and buying their auto parts on eBay, thats a major concern. If they buy parts and dont read the directions that come with the part as in this case, you just might end up paying for their lack of basic auto repair skills when they destroy the part. Called 2 times to make an appointment for a DMV brake and light inspection for my auto. Each time I was quoted $79.90, by the owner, who answered the phone each time.When I (female) arrived he asked me what I was quoted- odd- and I told him I was quoted $79.90, and he told me that was wrong, it was $110.00. Since I was already there, and there are not many certified stations, I approved it. Then he explained if anything was wrong he could repair it or I could have it repaired and return and he would re- inspect for free.After about 30 minutes he informed me my brakes were bad, I told him my mechanic just worked on my car and said everything was ok- he came back awhile later and agreed, the brakes were ok.I just called 5 other certified shops, that all charge $80.00. I didn’t ask if they charged more for women.I will be reporting the shop to the Ca State Bureau of Automotive Repair and the Better Business Bureau.Do not give your business to this shop. I have to question their honesty and how they treat women as customers- don’t you?

I have been bringing my cars to Jim for almost 3 years now. I used to live in Huntington Beach and moved to Brea and still make the commute for him to maintain and service our 2 cars. (Kia and Toyota) He follows the manufacturers service guidelines to a T and keeps great records to ensure we remain within our warranty. Most of all I go to Sigma and ask for Jim because he is very trustworthy and a great mechanic. Many times I will ask him to check my brakes and other things that I feel are problems and he will address them and let me know they are fine.. How many mechanics do that!! We know that a lot of mechanics or auto shops would jump all over that opportunity to fix something that is not broken. Not Sigma! I only trust our familys cars to Sigma and Jim Balat!
