Car is not done yet but they seem to be reasonable in price, excellent in communication, very patient, and really caring about fixing my car right. They appear to be very honest in helping and not taking advantage of customers. I also like how they gave me options to decide and ask for my permission before starting. Overall great experience so far. Can’t wait to pick up my car.Been speaking to Vince and Chris and I am very impressed so far.

My 2012 Ford 6.7 diesel had a check engine light. The dealer would not give me a appointment or give me a general time frame to do diagnostic and repair.Just drop it off will call you when we get to it.I found H B Auto they told me to bring in in Friday called Tuesday told me what they found and when it would be fixed.I told them to do the repair.I fully expect to pick up my truck before the following weekend as Vince stated.

This is the 3rd time I have taken my car to HB Auto & AC to have work done on my A/C system. Ive been very pleased with all the work they have done. The management is polite and cares about their customers. Most recently I dealt with Lisa, who manages the business, and I have to say, I am impressed with her attention to detail, making sure that I was satisfied customer. I had a buildup of mold in my car’s AC, they were able to remove the smell and I’m happy to have the AC working good as new! Jesse and Lisa were very courteous and professional. Everyone was very professional and made sure to keep me informed of the process they were going through on the car to fix the problem. Kevin at the front desk is very knowledgeable and easy to work with and in my opinion customer service is unmatched. I will continue to bring my cars here as it seems to be one of the better shops in the area. Service did take a little long but as with any industry there is time, quality and cost. You can’t have all three and I can appreciate the fact they took their time and did a quality repair job!

Theyre understaffed at the moment which caused a bit of a communication delay but ultimately I got my A/C fixed for a good price, plus an inspection that led to me replacing a leaky battery.Would definitely go here for AC repair again, possibly other repairs.

After going to Berge Mazda and getting quoted $900 for my 2016 Miata AC repair, I knew it was time to start looking elsewhere. I came across HB Auto and AC online, and decided to give them a shot. I delivered my car and went out of town for the weekend where they worked on it from Thursday-Monday. That Friday afternoon after the inspection they found a severe leak in one of the two ac valves. (Berge Mazda said both were leaking.) They also recommended to replace my rear breaks pads as they were well past the recommended safety standard limit. All in all I came back to pickup my car Monday morning and walked out the door with my AC blowing cold air, new brake pads, tires rotated, and a new filter for $880! I thank you HB Auto for being professional in both your work and your pricing. I will definitely return when I need more repairs done.

Came into the shop stressed out when my car was overheating and was immediately greeted by the manager Lisa. She reassured me that i was in good hands and told me not to worry. Man oh man was she right . Within 10 minutes i was driving away in a complimentary loaner car 🚗 drinking a cold water bottle and wondering what time tomorrow id be hearing the results of diagnostic tests. About an hr later I received a text from the shop with a link that showed my cars inspection. As i was reviewing i got a call from lisa explaining to me what had happened with the car. She let ne know it was a cracked coolant reservoir and would have it done by the following morning. The price was more than fair considering how convenient she made the experience. Car repair is never fun but if you gotta do it make sure you call Lisa and her team at hb auto. You won’t regret it.

Initially I had a great phone call with the new person at the front desk (Bobby), he told me multiple times he had worked at HB Auto & AC for two weeks. He was prompt, professional and focused on booking my appointment to come in. No problem, I get it, he comes from a sales background and hes doing his job.Then I brought my vehicle a 21 Sprinter Van. I had a hard time parking because there was no street parking even for a 17 vehicle when I blocked the driveway by about 6 I was approached by a woman as I was walking up to the shop. She (Lisa) assumed I was from the business across the street, instead I was a first time (hopefully) customer. I told her that instead of assuming it would be polite to ask if I was there for HB Auto & AC, especially with it being my first time. Again no big deal.Then I get a call at 11:09am (I dropped my vehicle off at 9am), and Bobby leaves a voicemail saying they cannot work on my AC since my vehicle is a diesel. Thats right, he wasted my time, the people who gave me a ride and it threw a huge wrench in my day trying to move meetings around to accommodate needing to pick the van up. Ooops, I forgot to mention it took Bobby about 15 minutes to print the service agreement, he couldnt figure it out so eventually I asked him to email it and I would e-sign it as I had a 10am conference call. He printed something out and said he would handwrite it.Upon picking the van up, I tried to come as soon as I could since I know it takes up a lot of space and I wanted to take it to a shop that could actually fix the issue. When I got into the vehicle the window was down, once one the main road (Gothard), I tried to roll my window up but no luck. I drove back to the shop and explained the issue to Bobby. In short, after his use of four letter words, he said they wouldnt do anything to make it right and they would not do anything to help me with the window that now wont roll up. Keep in mind it was rolled up when I arrived and last time I drove the vehicle there were no issues. There was hardly an apology from Bobby who made a rookie mistake (it happens when one is new) of accepting a diesel vehicle when they dont work on diesels, after that mistake I would think the company would try and make any other issue right. Not only will I never go back there again but I do my best to let others know about my experience so they dont have the frustration of being worse off from when the vehicle was taken into the shop!

He also gave me information to someone for a secondary car (cosmetic) problem I was having. Took F250 in for A/C, not blowing as cold on hot days. Evacuated system added very little, found no leaks. Worked perfectly past week on 1200 mile trip up to Reno area and back and it was hot on US 395. Happy with results. Gave me free loaner car to keep truck overnight for evaluation. Highly recommended shop!

About a month ago my car completely broke down on my way to work. I was concerned about coordinating repairs, the tow and a rental car but HB Auto & AC made it easy! Not only did they handle the tow but they dropped off a complimentary rental car so I didn’t even need to leave work. The repair videos and quote were sent via text so it made everything very convenient. The repairs were done in just a day and a half and you could tell they really took their time to clean up my car that had exploded fluids everywhere. My car was running great when I left! I am a college student that just recently moved across the country so this was a huge financial blow. But they also were accommodating in that sense too and worked with me. Fast forward to yesterday... My car broke down again (something unrelated to first repair) after the shop had closed. I decided to try calling, they happened to answer, towed me to the shop and got me a rental car. Just amazing service. Thanks Chris and everyone.

Team is very professional and they offer a digital diagnostic which is very comprehensive. They are quite expensive, so we didn’t have the repair done there. However, they offer a better warranty (3 year/100k miles)

I brought my ‘99 4Runner in for service about my steering wheel shaking. HB Auto customer service is absolutely top notch. Great staff, very friendly, patient, understanding, considerate, and genuinely concerned about the issue you’re coming in for. When I picked up my vehicle I was notified that my issues was resolved, unfortunately it was not. Overall a wonderful experience, just a bit disappointing we weren’t able to come to closure on fixing the problem.

They were quick, efficient, and friendly. I won’t know about the quality of their work for awhile. I’m giving them 2 stars because they charged me $1,500 for an easily acquired $600 transfer shift actuator for my 2007 4x4 Tundra. I’m a bit sick about the $900 part mark-up

I spent a good deal of time attempting to determine my best course of action to service my 1979 MB 240-Ds A/C system having the existing R-12 refrigerant. The many reviews I read dealt with many unhappy customers that used various A/C specialists with mixed outcomes. In addition, I was concerned about making the change to the R-134A with reports of less than comparable cooling efficiency. The painful aspects of this ordeal are the cost of the repair and despite the expense for the work, there would be no guarantees for restoring the A/C system to its original efficiency.After speaking with Chris over the phone, it appeared that my initial impressions were somewhat overly pessimistic for a practical outcome in relation to the recommendations provided. After visiting the shop and speaking further with the specialist, John who would repair the A/C system, it allayed my concerns about the complexities of the work required plus citing some possibilities of potential unknown factors by explaining in detail what needs to be done for a reliable system. During the time the car was in the shop, Kevin oversaw that the car would be cared for and kept me up to date on the progress of the work. Also, I appreciated the shop for a loaner that made it very convenient for my transportation needs during the time the car was in the shop.I was very pleased that I followed their expert recommendation with the A/C conversion to the R 134A and the necessary repairs, and was pleasantly surprised about how well the A/C system performed after completion. I look forward to not having to revisit any A/C repairs for a long time.Many thanks to the crew at HB Auto &AC for a job well done!

Recently my car had been broken into, and costed me about $800 in automotive damage repairs and items replacement. My last stop at HB Auto & AC was for them to check out possible tampering of the engine compartment, and a minor issue of a Check Engine indicator light issue...which turned out to be a temporary misfiring and low idling...which ended up going back to normal operations. I was only charged $25 for the check-up. I waited a short time on location while they checked everything out. I needed a shop thats equipped with a code-reading computer system to check the car for abnormalities. I have done business with this shop for many years, and strongly recommend this shop for anyone in need of good quality automotive repairs. 😀

Anything but great customer service is not an option here. From the first phone call to the last text, they want to make sure you are fully informed and know what to expect in the process. The mechanics are knowledgeable, but if they don’t know something they find out. Chris, the owner, will drive you to your home or business (locally) and the loaner cars are just icing on the cake.

Chris and his team do an amazing job every time.Ive brought my car in before for brake fluid flushes, brake pad and rotor replacements, transmission flushes, and oil changes and they always offer a complimentary diagnostic analysis for the entire cars system. Its a very thorough and accountable service.I took my car in for a routine oil change and bulb replacement and they were quick, efficient, and friendly. I was out in the time frame they promised and it was easy on the wallet. Id definitely recommend bringing your car here!

Kevin, John and Chris deliver 5 Star service. I was very stressed out because my car was loosing coolant and I could not find the source of the leak. I found HB Auto & AC on the net and spoke to Kevin who was just wonderful. He listened carefully as I described the problems I was having with my car and he invited me to bring the car in and said they would check it for free. Many places will charge you just to look at your car but HB Auto & AC did not. When I arrived, John and Kevin quickly pinpointed the source of the leak as a faulty hose and a new hose was ordered. It was late in the afternoon and since the part had to be ordered, I left the car there overnight. Ordinarily, they would have provided me with a loaner car but the last of their loaners had already been reserved so Chris the owner kindly gave me a ride home and when my car was ready the next day, he picked me up so that I wouldnt have to take the bus. The whole experience was 5 Star!

I been coming here for years and so far this place is about as good as it gets... yes 1 repair service place is like another but The Owner Chris keeps everyone in line and happy as far as I can see and that makes this place a great place to work or get work done on your auto... good job guys...thanks again.

These guys are very trustworthy and knowledgeable. I brought my 1979 RV to them because my belts were making aloud noise when accelerating and I thought I had a coolant leak that I couldn’t locate it. Dave helped me out and found that my belts just needed to be tightened and I needed a new radiator cap. He only charged me for the cap and a hour of labor. Ill be going back if I need help again.

I was referred to HB Auto & AC after excessive oil and transmission leaks were found after an oil change for my BMW. Patrick was fantastic. He found the issue and did a full inspection. He saved me money by recommending some needed additional maintenance needed in the same part of the engine. I appreciate that this was recommended, but not pushed. Honest mechanics are hard to come by. He also found an issue with my tire that I didnt even notice. I was probably a few miles from a blow out. Repairs were quick and fair in price. My car was washed and cleaned upon picking it up which speaks volumes about their care for their customers. I will continue to return here.

As one who has had an extensive history and background in automotive repair, I have found that they can consistently diagnose and perform repairs to any of my vehicles in a reasonable time and at a competitive price. Several times, my friends have had work performed at their facility and have had very positive results. It doesn’t seem to matter what the problem might be, they can diagnose and repair it accurately and at a fair price.I don’t hesitate to recommend Huntington Beach Transmission to anyone with confidence.

Where do I begin? Yesterday, my check engine light came on, my entire car started violently shaking, and the engine cut out as I tried to coast my car to the side of the road. I did a little Google research to see my local mechanic options and these guys popped up as well-reviewed and trusted. I am SO glad that I came by!Since the time of my car failure was close to their closing time, they instantly offered me the use of one of their loaner cars and, after a quick copy of my drivers license, I was free to go about my normal lifes activities due to the kindness and professional service offered here. Sincerely, I have never heard of a mechanic giving out a loaner car. An insurance company, yes. A mechanic, nope! After thinking your entire world just came to a grinding hault, it was amazing to be given the chance to still run around while my car was being worked on.This morning I got a call from them around 7:45 (they open at 7:30, so this demonstrates their efficiency). I braced for the worse, but he happily told me that the repair (a coil), plus an oil change and a replacement headlight would be less than $300. Talk about relief!This place is amazing! They are professional, genuinely caring, and efficient. From the moment I walked in, they greeted me with a smile and made me feel welcome and at ease. I feel confident in my vehicle and will definitely return!! Sincerely, a wonderful experience overall :)

Had an issue with my car and needed oil. So I Googled this place and went because of all the great reviews and it was even better! They were super nice and honest! I definitely recommend them to everyone!

The transmission on my 06 Nissan Frontier went out (broken tranny cooler in radiator) my transmission was trashed. Adrian had it rebuilt in just a few days and was able to bypass the poorly designed transmission cooler saving me money. I bought the truck with 60,000 miles on it now has 150000, the transmission has never shifted so smooth, no clunking into gear. Thanks Adrian and Bob you guys are awesome, I found a new shop to fix my truck.
