Consistently one of the best auto shops around. Mechanics pay attention to the little details, checking belts, tire wear, fluids, etc and warn early of needed preventative maintenance items. They really know VWs, the quirks and such, diagnose well, and do a good job in repairs. Not one of those rush in and out shops that only do what you tell them - those dont check your car - so call, drop off the car, enjoy an afternoon away while the work gets done. No, not local Vietnamese in Little Bolsa cheap, but for the level of service, expertise, and clean, neat waiting area with comfy seats, highly recommended for anyone with a VW. Both friends with Bugs have theirs serviced here, always a good experience.

VW and Audi shop great for everything from standard maintenance to tuning your car. Mike at the front is excellent and really makes you feel welcome. While Matt in the shop is truly a master. He turned my basic Gti into a street legal race car. Ill be coming back for future tunes and maintenance.

The last time I was there I asked Matt when was the last time he advertised and he said about 3 years ago!!! word of mouth is the best form of advertising, I have seen many car shops come and go, but Matt is honest, straight forward and fair in his prices which is why he does not need to advertise. Mike and the guys complement how this shop is run... super nice humans very helpful and very knowledgeable about VWs they have seen every issue at least 100 times, so they are quick to figure out what the problem is and there no guess work.

Only place our family takes our vws to. Very fair price and very honest, no upselling. Took my car before I bought it and caught tire wear and made the dealership replace them. Any upgrades have been done at great prices too, if you ask what you should do they answer honestly.

Matt and his team are the best at what they do. I have been to 4 seasons tuning, multiple VW Dealerships, and a fair few other specialists.He or Mike always answer the telephone and you are always greeted professionally. They get straight to the point and book you in. Does not matter if you’re car is stock or modified to your taste, Matt and his staff know what they are doing. They run everything by you and offer advice. No monkey business at all and the prices are extremely fair.it’s hard to find mechanic who is a perfectionist and works on your car like it were his.A prime example of this is when I came by for the first time back in 2016 and I simply needed a pollen filter and oil change but my rear sway bar was clanking and my door was squeaking. Matt didn’t even think twice. He took care of both and was more than happy to see a satisfied customer that became a customer for life. A year later I was back complaining about a new noise that at the time we could not figure out after a test drive as it would not replicate the noise (as it always goes) but Matt said to email him with a recording of the noise and then asked for a video. I took it back in and he solved the issue.I can safely say i’ve been to Matt’s 7 or more times and he always takes care of my 2010 MKVI 2.5L Golf.He’s taken care of my UM SRI Manifold, Suspension (Bilsteins & HR springs), Brakes, MAP sensors, Rotors, Sway bar (neuspeed), Headlights (ECU settings), Exhaust (Techtonics), etc.I’m sure there’s more...I assure you that you will not be disappointed. My family, who now own, VWs made the switch to Matt right after I did and they are extremely happy too.Like I said, it does not matter if your car is the same as it was when you bought it or it’s APR tuned with all the fun toys that can be bolted on... Matt and his team know what to do and you’re back on the road with the absolute knowledge that your care is 100% safer and more reliable knowing Matt took care of it like it were his own car.

I like this place and the owners are nice, helpful and strait up honest. I recieved fantastic service and will gladly give my two thumbs up. You need VW work, you dont need to look further. My work was needed was routine maintenance for a failed emissions part, but because they were helpful both on the phone and at the shop I just said take care of it. In minutes it was done! Ill be back should I need further service. Just good people there.

Matt and the team here take great care of our Eos (and our Passat wagon previously). Always honest, on time and get what needs to get done for a fair price. Highly recommend, particularly if you have a VW or Audi, but they do work on other makes as well.

Matt is the best mechanic ever!! Friendly, honest, and reasonable with pricing. He became my mechanic last year after a shady mechanic elsewhere told me I needed to replace my timing belt @ $1,000+ dollars. My neighbor suggested VW Car Care Plus for a second opinion and Matt told me he would bet his life’s savings that my 2009 Jetta did NOT EVEN HAVE a timing belt! So thankful an honest guy like Matt and his business exist. They restore my faith in the car repair industry. I have taken my car back for service ever since and have always been happy with the work and customer service.

This was my first visit and overall impressions were fantastic. The waiting area was very clean and comfortable. The techs were very helpful and friendly. Really great experience! I took my car to another shop and they couldn’t figure out what was wrong. They said the next step was to pay $400 to “check the wiring.” Brought it to Matt and he was able to figure it out right away and figured out that it was a $29 coil. He also fixed a bunch of bulbs that were out and cleaned my a/c and the engine casing. The total for everything was $118. Super knowledgeable, fast, friendly, and most of all honest. They have a customer for life :)

Great service, fair prices. I have not ever trusted a mechanic more than Matt. His customer service and honesty is a breath fresh, I have put a lot of money in repairs of my 2012 VW CC, I wish I would have taken it to Matt a lot sooner.

I drove over an hour because this shops yelp reviews were so solid. I drive a 2015 Passat TDi and knew it required a specialty shop. Heres my experience:1. I messaged the owner thru Yelp and asked for a quote.2. Within twenty minutes he had a price for me and was willing to take the service on at 5 pm.3. Ive never seen a cleaner mechanic shop; every tool and part was where it ought to be.4. The lobby is clean and tidy.5. Matt is extremely knowledgeable, fair, fast, and honest.Id recommend anyone to come to this shop. Whatever extra I use in time getting here I saved in aggravation. I will use him from here on out

Read this if youre having a hard time finding a PROFESSIONAL mechanic who specializes in VWs! If youre looking for a mechanic thats honest, professional, knows VWs inside and out, does great work and charges fair prices, then dont waste your time looking anywhere else. Matt is the owner of VW Plus Car Care and most importantly, Matt is just a great guy who tries to help you any way he can. It can be so hard choosing a mechanic. Save yourself a ton of time, frustration and heartache. Just take your VW to Matt and you will not go anywhere else. Right now my frustration is that I live all the way in Ventura County and I still can not find anyone as good as Matt. I have to drive all the way down to Huntington Beach.

Already brought both our GTI and Tiguan here and they do outstanding work. My GTI was having a few issues and Matt was able to diagnose and repair everything.
