Not having a waiting room anymore is NOT cool at all. Its basically like, drop your car off and get out!. Even if its just for a quick rotation you should be able to wait there and not have to sit outside on the curb. Or hoof it all the way home only to get home and be called immediately back in to pick your car up.The people who work there are very nice and knowledgeable.

I was very impressed with the service I received at Mountain View Tire and Auto. I am visiting from Arizona and did not have a mechanic in the area. Mountain View took care of my brakes that had frozen up ruining parts and even saved me money under the estimate. Thank you so much for getting me back on the road safely.

They broke my new center cap $80 Then they lied saying it was already broken. Center cap will not stay in rim if broken. I will no longer suggest anyone go here.

This will be my SECOND one star review. I decided to give them a second shot after upper management contacted me to try and rectify the first issue. Today I reached out to mountain view tire about replacing a radiator hose. When I called and explained that the radiator had just been replaced but that I just needed the lower radiator hose to be replaced and that I already had the part. They quoted me 65 dollars for the labor. Great! I replaced the radiator myself in just over an hour. The radiator hoses didnt show up at the same time as the radiator, but the radiator was cracked so I wanted replace it immediately. The only reason I wanted mountain view tire to change the hose was to save me having to clean up aftwards and because I needed to get things done across the street, so I figured they could swap out the hose real quick while I was across the street. So after being quoted 65 dollars over the phone, I drove over and walked in letting them know I literally spoke to someone less than 45 minutes ago about getting a lower radiator hose replaced. The shop tech then proceeded to quote me an hour and a half worth of labor costing over 230 dollars! I told him that was b.s. not only because they literally told me it would cost 65 dollars not even an hour before, but because I know first hand that it takes no more than 20 minutes to switch out a lower radiator hose! You can see in the pictures below the hose I am talking. It is literally a hose and two hose clamps... both of which can be accessed without having to move anything but the air filter which is literally a 60 second job. They wanted to charge me 1.5 hours of labor so I ended up doing it on my own and it took... guess how long... 23 minutes including clean up.Nonetheless, he then tried to justify his pricing saying similiarly that an upper radiator hose is even an hour and twenty minutes of labor. Give me a break! The hose lays on top of the radiator and is attached by two hose clamps that are within arms reach and easily accessible. You dont have to unbolt a single thing or use any type of special equipment... nothing! It is an easy 15 minute job at most!This place is an absolute rip off. The first situation in which they received one star from me was because they tried to rip off my fiance in the same fashion by diagnosing her vehicle with one problem, in which we ended up paying a few thousand for, and then the literally 10 minutes after we drove the car out of the shop, the same issue was still occurring! They then tried saying it was something else and attempted to tell us we needed to pay even more for them to fix it!Terribly run. Terribly managed. Terrible techs. This place is in it for the money, not the customer service. I will never recommend this place to anyone, and in fact, I will ensure that anyone who is looking for a shop knows never to entertain the thought of bringing their vehicle here.

Very poor customer service!! They ruined my rims while changing my tires. They would take no responsibility for the way they handled things. I would suggest you dont spend money here!!!!

These guys are unprofessional. I wish I would have taken a look at the reviews prior to go to this place. They should not allow people to work on cars that dont know what they are doing.

Mountain View Tire was recommended to us and we havent been disappointed. Pricing is fair and they dont push unnecessary service. Mario is a knowledgeable, top notch technician. He knows cars well and above all is honest and trustworthy in assessing the work that needs to be done. He has worked on our car several times now and is the first tech weve been 100% satisfied with in many years of maintaining our vehicles.

I was greeted nicely when I came in to get a tire patched that had a screw. They told me that the Goodyear Eagle Touring tire was a “special tire with foam” that could not be taken off easily. Since I had a Tesla they recommended I go to Tesla Service Center. Turns out any shop could do it. The foam is just to dampen noise. Just an FYI.

They have put tires on all my familys vehicles for many years. Excellent service and good prices.

I will never take my car anywhere else! The staff is great, and super friendly!! Matthew always takes care of me and hes fantastic! He always explains exactly what is wrong with my car and what I need and how they can fix it. I never feel like Im being taken advantage of, which is rare. Ill definitely keep bringing my car to him.

I came in for brakes and an oil change. They did a thorough inspection and let me know I still had 80% left on my brakes and didnt need new ones. I appreciate the details of their inspection report and honesty. I had them clean and adjust my brakes anyway. I feel very secure in my car now. Thanks!

Wife wanted to go here for an oil change. I just purchased a used car and thought Id do the same. Mountain View rotates the tires when they do an oil change, but they said they couldnt rotate mine because I needed tires. They werent just trying to sell me tires, I REALLY needed tires (and I knew it). They asked if I wanted them to price some tires for me. I declined, and that was that. After Robert finished filling out the paperwork for the oil change, he handed me prices for tires. Wellll......I saw the prices and told him right then and there to just do the tires. They didnt pressure me, just informed me. I liked that. And the tires are the exact ones I was looking at in the showroom! They are excellent and quiet on the road. I reckon Im going to have to have them do my brakes next. Thank you, Mountain View Tire!

They sale you stuff u dont need just to make a pay check. it is base pay plus what they sell. otherwise the techs starve, with little money to get by.

We loved these guys, they took care of us like family! My only regret is we live in Canada so we likely wont be able to be repeat customers. They happened to be the closest ones to us when we were in desperate need on our road trip. Lucky us! They made a bummer stop on the trip turn into a good one. Great, genuine people.

I bought a set of Goodyear tires about a year ago for my Mercedes from Mountain View Tires. I did not purchase the road hazard protection warranty. I just brought it in today for a slow leak and they repaired it for no charge. When I got it home I noticed they even armoralled all the tires!!Kudos to Mountain View!!!!I highly recommend this place.

Called this place about 2 weeks ago, Robert the store manager quoted me on some tires that were out of my price range. I told him what I got quoted for at another tire shop. Robert went above and beyond to earn my business. He got me the same tires for the same price with a price match. Robert was very professional and has extensive knowledge and met my needs right where they were at. He did not try to upsell overall great experience. They also offer a variety of other services, which I will come back for due to his professionalism and fairly priced services.

Well, I’ll give a three star because it is my second time here to fix my flat tire, and I think they did a good job. However the service was bad that they lost a air cap of my tire, and replaced it with a cap look exactly different without telling me about it, so when I saw it, I was shocked. It was a silver color cap with a green fake diamond on it... imagine I have all black cap for other tire, and one special one with green diamond on it... suck... ugly...

Update: This place has sadly declined and after my recent experiences I will not be returning. After multiple return visits to get my alignment fixed and my tires balanced I finally went to another Goodyear and had it done... in one visit. They have had a large turnover and it shows.

This is the most reputable repair shop around OC, you dont have to worry about getting ripped off.Ive been ripped off at Miras and Firestone, they are too profit driven.This shop has been around since I can remember, and they have a great manager (Robert).

They charge for fixing flats after purchasing a set of rims and tires a year after. Fixing a flat for free can go a long way. Thats what got me there in the first place.

Completely lost confidence in these guys! Took my Jeep back 4x to get the AC fixed. Its been one problem after another and 3 weeks later, its still not fixed. HUGE turn around there too with new people. That shouldve been my first clue that things arent good there.

Really disappointed. I was quoted $300 to have the power steering hose replaced, for parts and labor. Ended up being charged 30% over with an almost $400 bill. I would expect to be notified of such a significant difference before the work is initiated. I will not be returning to this business in the future.

Came here for a free alignment check. Had alignment done by Jons alignment in Torrance twice in one week. Come to fine out they screwed up. Came over to mountainview and found toes were off by 20°. Robert and Angel fix my issue and showed me how it was done wrong by Jons. They got me right in with no appointment. Took 1 hour. Im highly recommend there service.
