These are terrible doors. I got quotes from Nanawall and la cantina doors. Beachside was the most inexpensive and recommended by a builder. Whoa! Never had such poor craftmanship Kenny is a super nice guy that owns this company but Im sure he just buys these very typical regular doors and puts the folding door hardware on them. He tells us to drill holes in the transom to have water evacuate out when it rains. Shouldnt he do this? wouldnt this void a warranty or something? Plus we are allowing water to pour though wood?!?! Crazy. The doors are hard to open. The pieces of wood holding the glass into the door was not siliconed!! Water just came pouring in and into the house. Then those wood pieces shrank in just two months of ownership! The locking doors will not stay shut unless deadbolted! . Stay with a larger manufacturer. Kenny does not know what hes doing with folding doors.
Ive been licensed for about 25 years, and am absolutely delighted with the quality of Kennys doors, finishes, and hardware. I have had a set of his folding doors on a large opening in our house, and they function as new, several years after install. Great guy to work with, too. I strongly recommend Beach side and Kenny, routinely.
We used Beachside Doors at our Malibu house. We have been very happy with them and loved working with Kenny. I highly recommend this company.
Im one of those people who rarely writes reviews unless someone really Wows me.. But this company is amazing! Ive been shopping for custom barn doors for my home and must of called 10Companies. I kept getting the run around and quoted outrageous pricing. I spoke to Kenny, the owner at Beachside doors and he was honest, upfront about all the costs involved and ended up getting my business. His workmanship was on point and I am so happy with the finished product! Dont waste your time calling a hundred places.. He has the answers you need!
