It provides a very bad service, it has been waiting for my asthma machine for more than 1 month and after I pay it, it tells me that it has no guarantee for the covi and I understand that the masks do not but the machine is unacceptable. And they do not want to verify if the equipment is working. So I do not recommend it at all, it is my first and last time
Was told that Medicare would not pay. I went a few blocks over and got without anything out of pocket
I really had a great experience. I went for compression stockings for an upcoming procedure. I really had no idea what I was looking for other than what my prescription specified. The man measured my ankle, calf and thigh for sizing. It was a little awkward for me but he was very professional. They had fun funky colors on display but those were special order. I didn’t have enough of a time frame so my choices were black or beige. Thanks so much!
The sign above the counter that shows-No refunds after 30 days should read Refunds at Managers Discretion.I purchased a knee walker, but my wife only used it for less than a few minutes, when it flipped and she fell. So I wanted to return it and was told we do not refund on them. Definitely picked up the attitude and we do not care about any circumstances. They are receiving one star because the clerk was very friendly. So before purchasing or renting any items from here ask a ton of questions and get your answers in writing.
They charge for longer than the correct time you have the equipment!! Go somewhere else. Staff doesn’t care to listen to reasoning!!
If I could give zero stars I would. I came in on a rainy Friday needing a walker for my mother who had fallen and broken her foot. First, I waited for almost 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged that I was there. I watched as they talked to each other as I stood patiently waiting for them to finish their conversation. When I was finally waited on and explained that I thought one with a seat attached would be best (mom has severe neuropathy and suffers from non positional vertigo). The gentleman explained that it wouldnt be a problem to get one with a seat but that Medicare would only cover the walker and not the seat. No big Ill pay for the seat. So now its Wednesday and I just recieved a call saying that the prescription needed to be from her family doctor (he had told me that they would do that). I still have no walker and she still has a broken foot and a whole week is waisted.Staff needs to be better trained.Staff shouldnt make promises they cant keep.Staff should acknowledge people as they walk in the door.Horrible service. I would find somewhere else to go. Looks like Ill be starting over with a better company.
This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They don’t acknowledge you when you walk in and when you finally do get waited on, they are not friendly at all. This place needs to be closed down. There are too many other medical supply places in Huntsville to have to put up with rudeness. Do not buy from these people. The ONLY reason they do as much business as they do is because of their location. If I could give them a rating less than one star, I would.
I would not have given even 1 star if it would let me!!! The absolute worst service and treatment I have ever received anywhere, would not send my worst enemy to these people, they do not even help a woman take a HEAVY wheelchair to the car I had to lift myself!!!!
I rented a knee walker for my dad after surgery. The rental fee seemed high, but was still less than purchasing one and reselling it in 6-8 weeks when no longer needed. The rental process was easy and efficient, the person I worked with was knowledgeable about the products offered and what might benefit my dad the most, and the rental policies were fair and understandable. The website was great, except for the fact that it didnt list rental or purchase prices for the equipment. Still, 5 stars up to here.My complaint, and the reason for docking the stars, is with the technician. He had taken apart the knee pad, which was specific to the model I rented, to repair other units. He quickly put it back together, but missed a critical pin that could have allowed the seat to collapse and cause a fall. It did collapse with me on it while I was testing it and demonstrating it to my dad. I wasnt hurt, but a fall would have been devastating to my dad. I identified the problem and repaired it with another pin from a different part of the unit. While I was waiting in the store, another gentleman had a problem with the installation of a flag he ordered for his power chair. A quick call from the saleswoman who was assisting me to the owner solved the problem, but the technician didnt seem to have a clue about it.I have emailed the store about the missing pin, and will update this review based on their reply.Bottom line: Great place, friendly people, but make sure you test things thoroughly, inspect everything, and ask a LOT of questions before you walk out the door. Your safety may depend on it.Update: forgot to post this sooner. They called me back, and provided the necessary pin. I had to pick it up, but that was the only hassle. They did what they could to fix my problem.
Not a happy customer here. Went in on Friday May 10th in the morning to be measured for compression stockings due to the fact that I have recently been diagnosed with a blood clot in my left popliteal vein. My Doctor had written a rx for them. Was told that it could take up to 4 days to get rx approved through my insurance company and I really needed relief sooner. Either way I would have to pay out of pocket for them because It would go towards my deductible. I choose to just pay out of pocket because again I wanted relief sooner. I had been making do with less expensive compression stockings and socks but the problem with them is they all would end up bunching up behind my knee where the majority of my pain was. The salesperson measured me twice and assured me they would not bunch up like the less expensive brands have done. I wasn’t allowed to try them on, but again she assured me they would fit. I wore them for the whole day they were not thigh high they came all the way up to my panty line. I gave it my best try, but again disappointed due to the fact that they didn’t fit and now I’m out 100.00 for That pair. Called Friday and was told by the salesperson that they could exchange them for a shorter pair. They did not have any in stock but would call the Decatur store to find out and she would call me right back. She did not. I had to wait until Monday to call them. No one at the store had any clue what was going on. Eventually someone called me back and told me that I could not return or exchange them. That I could try washing and drying them in hopes that they shrink. They would however be happy to take my doctors rx and bill my insurance company and then I could pay another 100.00 out of pocket that would go towards my deductible this time. Thanks, but no thanks. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I have basically thrown 100.00 away.
Terrible service ! Don’t use this company if you want reliable customer service. Untrained, seemingly uncaring staff. Don’t waste your time. Plenty of other GOOD DME companies in town!!!
Please do your homework before you go in this places they give you such a run around. You can call and they will not return your phone calls . I picked up my order and they would not come out the back office to answer any questions about the merchandise. I recommend you do your homework smiling face tell lies . The only reason I spent any money it took 8 weeks to get some ofy order I will not recommend this medical supplies office anyone.
After going thru five different slings for my daughters hoyer lift they STILL never got the correct one. Instead, they would ask ME what size I wanted. She is 49 and currently has an extra large sling. I repeatedly told them she needs a youth large or extra large but they dont seem to know the difference. They also refused to show me how to use it due to liability so that leaves me having to guess what she needs. The last time I attempted to talk to them about it they insinuated that I was simply being difficult and gave me another sling which she told me was a youth. Its an adult size. A VERY large adult. Im now just going to order one from another company even tho insurance is still paying for the one they sent me so its going to cost out of pocket. In the beginning we rarely needed to use the lift, now its a daily necessity and I HAVE to have it.
My Mother-in-law uses Mc Abee Medical for all her medical needs. She has gotten everything from a walker to a bed side potty. she is right now waithing on a hospital bes and table to be brought out to her. to her there is no other Medical supply in town. We just love them
Poor customer service. After accepting prescription from the largest orthopedic practice in Huntsville for a standard walker and promising to handle fulfillment we had to pay out of pocket on the day before surgery because they said they needed additional documentation of need from the doc. They failed to mention that when the prescription was handed to them and did not even attempt to contact the doctor.Lazy, incompetent, and rude sums it up.
Great staff, very helpful, prices are fair. I used them for my CPAP.
With the attitude I ran into today I will not be shopping there
Great staff! very helpful
Called to get the paperwork started to purchase a power scooter because I have very limited mobility due to a failed knee replacement and so my only option was total knee fusion because after having 6 back after back surgeries to fix the total my only option from that point was to have the knee fused or amputated. I opted to have it fused which left me without a knee. So me getting around was very limited with my walker which brought great pain with it. So working with my doctor and my caseworker manager from my insurance company started working together and doing the paperwork to get me a power scooter to help me get around more independently. After two weeks of doing what I had to do on my part, not including having to call very often to see if all my paperwork was turned in. I hear nothing from them so I decided to call one last time to see where we’re at being it’s two weeks now. They put me through to the person who handles these type cases. She comes on and so oh, your insurance denied you because they say it is not a necessity for you. So something tells me to call my caseworker nurse manager who knows everything about my situation and who has the authority to get me approved for whatever I need for my medical necessity. She calls me back within 24hrs and says nothing has come across her desk yet for her to get me approved. So the company, McAbee Medical lied about sending my work to my insurance company for my approval of the mobile scooter. My caseworker nurse manager was waiting for it to come to her desk. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. They don’t call to follow up, they lied, and you have to do all the leg work. Very displeased with this company.
