We were really impressed with the quality and quantity of the food here. Owners are very polite. Very spacious location. Coffee tastes just right! The prices are very reasonable as well. There’s plenty of space available to come sit down and read a book while you’re enjoying your favorite coffee. I felt like they could make the seating area a bit more cozy with adding some booths. We will definitely pay a visit again!

My husband and I love this place, but the most recent time we were there, it took a long time to get our drinks. Its not normally like that, but there was an older couple there that kept messing up the drinks which slowed down the line.

It was good coffee better than Starbucks but most things are. The cookie was dry and felt like it had set on hot dashboard for a week. But the cashier dude had a great haircut and was very friendly.

Now that Hutchinson Community College is out for the summer, Metro is not as crowded. This is a great place to have a great cup of coffee (or hot chocolate) at a reasonable price served by a tremendously friendly, professional staff.

I had to spend a few hours in Hutchinson while my vehicle was getting worked on, so I went to this place up get some work done. It wasnt particularly quiet, but the atmosphere was nice. I was able to find a table near an outlet without issue.I ordered hot tea, which ended up being mediocre. The tea was fine, but the water wasnt hot enough to brew properly. Still, this is typical for a small town coffee shop.After that I ordered a coconut milk caramel latte. That was delicious! They must use a higher fat coconut milk, because there was excellent foam on top, approaching a cappuccino instead of a latte. The end was a bit sweet, so I didnt end up finishing it, but Id still order it again!They had free WiFi that was sufficient for my needs. Id definitely go there again if I am in a similar situation.

Great coffee, pastries, friendly environment and great atmosphere!

I came to metro coffee while traveling through Kansas. I was drawn by their vegan burrito option and since the people I was traveling with weren’t vegan, they could get the normal option. The barista was super accommodating and even double checked with me when I forgot to sub almond milk in my coffee. I would’ve been disappointed if I got it with dairy. Not only was the barista super helpful and friendly, but the coffee and breakfast burrito were amazing. I do have to say, this is the best coffee I have had to date. It was just the way I like it! The ONLY thing I’m disappointed about was the fact I didn’t get a large. I loved the environment too, but I did have to get it to go. All around, metro coffee is absolutely awesome. If I’m back in the Hutchinson area I will definitely be coming back to metro coffee. Thanks for the awesome and accommodating breakfast!!!Also-I enjoyed the fact they were enforcing masks until you sat down. Awesome for people with health issues like me who need to stay safe.

Please don’t make people who order a simple drip coffee wait behind those who order artisan drinks that take 5+ minutes to make, when it takes less than 30 seconds to pour ours.

I normally come here during the winter months. Today I stopped in to get prices for catering a back to school teachers in-service. The prices were amazing and the owner knows how to really go the extra mile... litteraly! She will bring and set up all for any party locally. She can do so many different kinds of coffee and teas. So happy!! Not to mention this hot chocolate is AMAZING!!

I am in love with this coffee shop! I love the gluten free choices with their baked goods, and I love the wide range and variety of the menu. Anything You Can Dream up, you can have made into a reality at this Shop! The last time we came, we got a gluten-free double chocolate chip brownie. It was excellent! Loaded with big chunks of chocolate and so moist! And I ordered a Cherry amaretto Frappuccino and it was SO GOOD. I really love the environment, and of course, the staff is super friendly.

Love to stop by here for oatmeal and/or a scone or lemon bar.

This place is Great with a capital G! They have the best carrot cake I have ever had in my life! Their frappe is so good, too! A caramel and white chocolate beauty that goes down so nicely!!! Plus they have a large variety of board games and art all around the establishment that you can buy and free wifi. They make almost all of their pastries from scratch and I have never had any problems with any of the staff here and Ive been coming since 2009!! Give them a shot, you wont regret it!!

The staff is always super friendly and the drinks are really good. I come here to work on my laptop and the noise level is good, music is good, spacing of tables is great.I do suggest they check the trash a little more and trash on the floor in the ordering area and wipe down tables after customers leave.

I am Kansas author Jae Byrd Wells and I highly recommend this coffee shop because the amazing food and drinks are served by friendly staff. They keep the bathrooms and main floor well stocked and clean. Customers are overall friendly and courteous. Bring your friends and play a game or read a book from their library. Do yourself a favor and drive right past Fivebucks. Metro has beautiful people, a great atmosphere, and fantastic drinks.No, there isnt a drive-through. Call a Whambulance. I usually get the Iced Chiller Chai or an Americano and they never disappoint. The baked goods are good as well. I tend to go for the various scones they offer. Nice atmosphere with live music some nights.

This coffeehouse has a nice open atmosphere. The baristas are friendly and the place was clean. Their Crimson Cup Coffee is consistently ranked as some of the best coffee in the country. My late afternoon coffee was lukewarm, however.

I love this place! I moved, and I already miss this place so much. The atmosphere is very relaxed. They always play great music. Its a wonderful spot for local artists to show their crafts to sell and play live music. The service and coffee is always amazing.

Great part of Hutchinson! I grew up in this town but only occasionally visit now. I always love to come here, good coffee, wonderful, relaxing atmosphere. I was especially glad to see it continue to thrive after Starbucks put in a location within walking distance. Much nicer coffee/ community experience than a huge chain.

I absolutely adore this place. The coffee is great and the atmosphere there is chill. If you want good coffee, lattes, cappuccinos, etc, without having to spend the usual amount at Starbucks, I recommend you go here. Its cheaper than Starbucks but the exact same quality. If I could give more stars I would.

I have two friends that I have coffee with st least once a month. Our choice is Metro. They also have desserts that ate delicious. It is a comfortable atmosphere also. On the weekends they have entertainment sometimes.

This coffee shop is well known to locals. The owners are outstanding and go out of their way to support their community. The drinks are delicious and so are the pastries. The atmosphere is fantastic to meet with friends, sit with your significant other, or just hang out and get some work done. Love this place!

I love the metro. It is a great place to hang out and do homework or chat with friends. Their coffee is amazing and so are the owners and employees. They always have great local art hung on the walls, including my own from time to time. It is comfortable and classy.

Love the cozy environment here. I love to come and study alone and with groups. It is pretty spacious and not very loud. I enjoy see all of the art on the walls. The workers are always friendly and the drinks are always delicious!

I am not usually a huge fan of Olive Garden, but I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at this restaurant. I had a new shrimp dish with a side of ravioli stuffed with crab and I am not sure what else. It was very tasty. Our service was quite good. Our waitstaff was exceptionally friendly. Attentive, but not TOO attentive.

Had a London Fog, which wasnt on the menu but the barista didnt blink an eye at. It was excellent, & made less than scalding, as per my special request.There was a singer/ guitar player performing, & a pretty good crowd in attendance.Its a nice cozy place, but theres generally some entertainment on weekend nights.

Pretty much Hutchinsons staple coffee shop. Its been here for years. Wonderful owners and good atmosphere. Great place to go if you just want to get out of the house for a bit or hang out with friends. The quality of the espresso beverages I have ordered has always been consistent.

This place is a great independent coffee shop. Better than the national chain down the street. They have lots of pastries and some light food, like breakfast burritos.

I used to go here all the time and order the Cranberry Apple Chaider (chai + cider) and sometimes a muffin or other item. Its a super cozy place to study, work, or read. There are some bored games for you to enjoy with friends and some evenings they have live music. Clean, relaxing, and friendly.

My favorite coffee shop in all of Hutchinson. This locally owned and operated shop has amazing baristas who are always cheerful, kind and attentive. We recently spent several days in Hutch while my father was in the hospital, and my morning stop at Metropolitan Coffee was a daily pick-me-up. Thank you so much!

Metro is the coffee shop in hutchinson, Im not sure why youre going anywhere else. Both locations have stellar service. Theres always something going on at metro, a concert or groups playing board games. Its a great atmosphere with even better coffee. I wish every town had a metro. Metro is honestly one of the only coffee shops I visit with any regularity. The staff is always friendly and pleasant and the drink variety is always fresh and creative. Never been disappointed! The Tornado Chai is great, as is the Tropical Breeze Creme Soda!

The Metro is the best place in Hutchison to get coffee. I used to live in Hutch. The Metro had such a great atmosphere. Sometimes they have live music. The people who work there are always special people who have more to share with the world than just being a barista. The Metro had board games to play, & things to read as well (I believe). Comfy chairs, or tables to sit at. You should definitely go if youve never been.

Metro has great drinks, coffee and tea; the atmosphere is casual and inviting. The goodies are fresh baked and delicious. Ive never had a bad experience there in nearly 10 years. Worth it.

Try the Warm Chai, it is amazing! Came here on the suggestion of some family members and we will be back on our next visit through town!
