Stopped in on our way through town. Chuck, the owner, was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Very knowledgeable about the beers/wines available and about the surrounding area. Sensible guy. Fair pricing. Some local regulars came in while we were there, and they too were friendly and helpful. Really nice, chill spot to have a drink and chat. Quiet and mellow but apparently theyve got live music and some other livelier things going on on other days of the week. Met some nice dogs too.

Any time you come into a bar and see a group of regulars chatting like theyve known each other for decades, you know youre in for a good time. And this group of regulars had *t-shirts printed* for their group. Great conversations and great beer -- Chuck is super knowledgeable about everything he serves (beer and wine) and is super nice to boot. This might be the friendliest craft beer bar Ive ever been to -- and Ive been to quite a few!

The owner is a sweetheart and so is his dog. Fantastic selection of wine and beer handles. Sundays live band, The Dew Droppers, were absolutely fantastic. The cozy atmosphere and cool art work is very inviting. Becoming a regular here feels like the right thing to do.

We went on trivia night (unintentionally). Waited for staff to come to bar and serve us but they were nowhere to be found. Only guy that said a word to us was the guy on his laptop at the bar asking everyone trivia questions. Waited almost 10 mins for someone to come to the bar. We stood there waiting. And waiting....then we left and went to the other businesses on the same street for drinks, all of them were quick to serve us and the bartenders were actually behind the counter. Maybe this is a locals only bar.... but a paying customer is a paying customer.... right?

Delightful place for a yummy glass or bottle of wine, sitting on the sidewalk and socializing with the locals. This downtown here in Idaho Falls has lots to offer in a casual atmosphere against the backdrop of the amazing falls of the Snake River. Visit Blackrock and you will love it!!

Chuck was an excellent host and Olie was the sweetest greeter. There was a nice variety of beers on tap and we enjoyed some great beer and conversation. Chuck and Olie helped make my sisters birthday special. We will definitely stop by again if were ever back in the area!

I have been here multiple times over a couple years. The rotation beers on draft and knowledge of the owner make every visit great. And now trivia every Thursday.

We absolutely LOVE Blackrock! Chuck made us feel right at home and was so helpful! Im not a huge fan of wine, but he shares so much information and its so fun to learn about the different wines! Hes also always open to helping me find something I like! We will continue to go back again and again!

So many great beers on tap its hard to choose. But, thats not a problem as they will give you samples before you decide on a pint. Ive been going there for years. The staff has always been warm and customer oriented. There is nice and cozy loft for small groups. And, games available to bolster the comrodery. If youre not about beer on tap, theyve got plenty of unique wines to choose from either by bottle or glass. An offering of sharable foods is available to compliment your beverage consumption as well. Ive never not enjoyed myself while there.

Great place to stop and enjoy a drink with some friends. The food was delicious! I highly recommend the chicken tacos and the barbecue pizza was SOO good!

The Blackrock is a small beer/wine stop in downtown. Its clean, intimate, and always a varied and wide selection of beer. Great place to stop and have a cold beer at the end of a long day.

Excellent variety of ciders, beers, and other drinks. Upstairs has a large table and the bar has a sampling of fun games like cards against humanity that you can play.The service is generally quick and theyre good at picking out flavors if youre trying a new drink.

This is the place for wine sampling in Idaho Falls. Great selection, friendly service - did I say knowledgeable too. And the light food menu complements the quaffing beautifully.

By far one of the BEST bars my fiancé and I have ever been to!!! Awesome beer, amazing wine, tacos were to die for. Atmosphere/ambiance was super cozy, we felt like we were hanging out in our own living room! Staff is SUPER friendly!!!! A definite must-stop if youre in town!!

In another city I dont think I would rate this place 4 stars. There is only a few places to drink in Idaho falls and this is one of the better ones. They have a decent selection of bottled beer and they have tap take overs all the time. Im not a big wine drinker but they seem to have lots of it.

Great new location! Very fun and cozy with upscale look. Lots of drink options for different tastes and the nightly entertainment is always on point. Video game night is seriously the best kept secret in town.

Ive enjoyed a few beers here during the last few months. The atmosphere is really nice and my wife and I were treated well. The beer selection is good though there are more IPAs than Id like. But there are enough other choices for those who dont like IPAs.

Very nice atmosphere, clean and classy. A large assortment of local brews on tap which is nice. If youre not looking for a crazy place with rowdy young people this is a nice place to come and just relax and have a few brews or wine with freinds.

For Idaho Falls, this place is a pretty good wine bar. Awesome selection of beers and wine. They even have my favorite San Diego Microbrew, Ballast Point Sculpin IPA. Although they are not really micro anymore.If you are looking for a quite place to drink, try this place.

Should be zero stars...Not a fan of this place, service is often slow, understaffed and the owner was rude to us. There are plenty of other places in IF to choose from, this place is not one worth your $$$. I would suggest Tap N Fill.

I used to love the Blackrock, but it has been going downhill ever since Ryan left. We have had poor service on multiple occasions, once we were even told they would not make us a cheese plate because the kitchen was too dirty...We, for the most part, ignored the poor service and continued going as we loved the atmosphere and the selection of alcohol. After our last experience at the Blackrock we will not be going back, and we will make sure to spread our displeasure. It is somewhat understandable when an establishment has poor service (e.g., poor pay, inexperienced work staff, bad moods, etc.) and I have patience for that sort of thing. What I do not have patience for, is an owner who tries to swindle a customer out of money and when he gets politely called on it he treats the customer poorly. At first, it seemed like the mistake was made in earnest, but after the owners response to the mistakes being brought to light, it becomes quite obvious that he has no problem taking advantage of his customers. We will not be going back, and I encourage all others to spend their money at establishments where the owners will not take advantage (Marcellars, The Tap n Fill, Idaho Brewing Company) and treat you poorly.
