Big lots has definitely raised their prices and nothing is marked. Not really discount anymore. Seem to be more concerned with selling furniture. Lots of employees on the floor with few answers and only one checker. Doesnt matter the line.

Bought an oversized recliner for my husband, marked 429.00 rang up 329.00 didnt even know it was a sale, they are awesome 😎

They didnt have alot in stock and they charged me $5 more than the price displayed for a comforter set.

Tried to get my curbside pickup but kept getting put on hold. Ended up going in the store. The employees were super friendly though & they have a lot of neat stuff at good prices in there. Also, I should say, I ordered chapstick I havent been able to find at other stores & Big Lots had it. I got a 2 pack for only $3!

It has been sometime since I shopped at Big Lots. Ive been shopping closer to home so I wouldnt be out and about as much with Covid in the air.I went with Harry the day before yesterday and it took me 5 steps down the asile to see this store had many items I had been looking for in other big name stores that had been sold out for sometime. There were items like 4 inch paint rollers....good grief, I have been to all three big home improvement stores and they have beeen out for a good month. Harry has beeen looking for garden hoses, inexpensive and light weight. He found them. 17.00 each. He bought 2. Harry is happy now.After picking up what I needed I continued walking up and down the asiles and came across a few more items I had been searching for. I told Harry that I am going to make Big Lots my starting point from now on. The check out person, and the assistant manager were very helpful and the store was clean. Shelves were in order and the islas are wide. They have a wide selection of merchandise. There were several customers, but we went in between the time when most people are home. We try and plan it that way.I noticed when we were walking from the parking lot to enter the store they have curb side pick. I was happy the provded it. The the rest room has handicapped access and is clean. Notice was posted for all personal to wash hands. Everyone in store was wearing masks.

Delighted delighted delighted..less expensive puppy training pads, puppy toys, collars, etc. And casual tee shirt for self and nice gardenia med/large red polyethylene outdoor flower pot, plastic table cloth, dish towels. Had myself a ball while waiting for puppy grooming at Petco.

Pretty decent place, they should expand variety though.

Everyone is super helpful. Mr.George is great at customer service. I watched him diffuse a situation that couldve easily escalated if he wasnt so professional. Also to the young black man who just started, keep the excellent customer service you have. There are always going to be customers who think they sign your pay check. On the bright side customers like me will ALWAYS call out GREAT service! I will be back!

Furniture deals are great! They should take EBT at this one. Lots of deals and some ok prices.

My favorite place to shop when Im in need of cheaper prices. Well stocked and easy to find items. Very clean.

I gave it five stars out of five stars because they do have great prices I can almost find anything I need there I dont really shop that much there cuz its not really close to my area it is in Independence Missouri but I have to take public transportation to get to Big lots so therefore I usually just shop whats in my area but when I do go there they do have good prices and I can use you find what I need

Used to be a good place to shop at, but with the store redesign it looks more like a furniture store than a Big Lots. It now takes longer to find what your looking for and you have to walk farther to get it because the furniture takes up the entire center of the store. Huge waste of space.

Roomy and clean. Well organized and had gluten free food. Does not take EBT. Employees nice and helpful. Very organized.

I was looking for a Kitchenette Set. I saw 2 that I liked but, they were not in stock. A Customer Service Representative checked around to see which, Big Lots had them in stock and printed it off for me. She said, to me call before you go because they might not be in stock. The Customer Service Representative explained, since the Pandemic stocks have been running low and she didnt want me to waste my time or gas if they really werent in stock. This was Very thoughtful. She also assisted me with a smile. Big Lot seems to have some really Great Employees!!!!?

I searched all over Kansas City looking for Christmas ornaments in red. silver and gold. Big lots had the red and silver. The price was definitely right.

I placed an order on Monday and paid extra for next day delivery and it is now Thursday and they told my wife it will not arrive until Saturday. When on Tuesday they told me its on the delivery truck and it is on its way and they never showed up. I have know idea if I will see my new furniture in my new home that I just bought.

Great store...

Like the some of the products here. However I try to stay away from the food, because in my experience everything I have purchased is old and doesnt taste very good. They have changed the store layout so now it seems more spacious. However on my last visit alotof things just did not have prices which was a bit annoying. Most of dog treats that said Ihe package they were soft were so old that they were had as a rock. Dont seem have the selections they once did.

Its dirty, chaotic to find thing. STOP TRYING TO BE a Walmart or Kmart! I like the way Big Lots used to be!

This Big Lots is in a great location. I love that is it right next to a Price Chopper grocery store. I placed an order online (via their website) for in-store pickup. Today I made my first visit and I love this store location. Picking up my order was super easy and quick. All of the store employees were extremely polite, helpful, cheerful and patient. The other store customers were super friendly and all smiles too. They have so many cool things (household items) to browse around, shop and you are able to stay within your budget...which is nice! Their furniture selection looks quite interesting as well. I had a great time shopping at this store. It is definitely worth the trip!

The Cashier was very nice and helpful. There is such a variety at this location. My cat thanks you for the fancy feast. Bravo.

They did not do EBT

The Independence location does not take ebt for food purchases. No signage to alert the shopper. Found out when I tried to pay.

I love this store. I dont frequent it enough.

Went to buy a living room set. Bought just a sectional. Biglots needs its own in house delivery service. .. I paid there 3rd party seller to deliver it today... well its 930 PM that didnt happen.. order cancelled. I emailed and no response. No refund so far either. I cant just leave my furniture at biglots for days. So I remade an appointment for tomorrow..so I will update accordingly.UPDATE. it arrived at around noon . And the guy was nice and all but couch has a rip at the seam on one of the back cushions.. and of course no one knows how it got there and wants to blame each other..

The store is clean and in order.The workers are friendly and helpful.The home furnishings dept.offered many selections. Returns sre made quick and simple(I had a receipt).I would give a 5 star rating, were the prices more comparable to similar stores..definitely NOT a place for big savings anymore,as it used to be when I shopped there in 2009.

My fiance and I came to this Big Lots today to look at couches for our new home that we are moving into. They had a great selection and the staff (John and Robert) that helped us were so amazing! DISAPPOINTED they didnt have the furniture in stock and had no idea if or when they would get it so I went to GREAT DEALS FURNITURE AND GOT EVERYTHING I NEEDED AND THEN SOME

This store is in the middle of the hood and I always feel discriminated against. Don’t put a store in my neighborhood and feel you can’t treat me like a criminal when you are making $8 an hour I never have a pleasurable experience in this store.

Being a member of their rewards program is worthwhile. Can use one offer at a time, but saving $5 on a $15 purchase helps. Variety of coupons sent via email and 20% off entire purchase occasionally offered. Nice selection. Reasonable prices. Helpful staff. Clean store.

I would like to give accolades to one of your employees (John.) I was visiting the Big lots at 4201 South Noland in Independence Missouri. I lost one of my hearing aids. My husband Larry and I thought I had lost it in the car and was not even looking in your store for it. Your employee John found my hearing aid laying in the floor. John took it to the checkout stand. (He said someone will be looking for this.) My husband happened to be checking out. He asked wtat John had found. Seeing it was my hearing aid he said oh my gosh that belongs to my wife. Weve been looking in the car for it. But some how it fell out at your store. Another employee might not have taken the time to bend over and pick it up, just left for the sweeper. Im a senior on a fixed income, it would have caused a huge hardship on me and my husband to replace it. I just wanted to let you know how one simple little act made a difference in my life. This store has some of the best customer service in town. What I mean by this is someone consistently greets me as soon as I hit the door. There are always employees around, I dont have to look around for an employee to help me, and they seem like they actually want to help me. The staff here is always very warm and kind.

Very friendly staff, I came in and found a couch that I liked around closing time and a guy named Phillip was super helpful and searched for it at nearby locations for me since they were out of stock. I really appreciated his effort to help amidst his closing routine. I cant say the same for my following phone interaction with the Blue Springs location when I asked if they could hold the one they had for me to pick up the next day.

Im currently at this location at there are two females whom are not wearing a mask.I guess its not mandatory. Haye to say it but wait until an employee catch it.

I stated before that whomever youre dealing with, some employees can be helpful and nice. Others can make you not want to come back. With all that said I came in looking for some headphones for my phone.Normally where they keep em all that was (mostly) shown was cards with pictures of headphones on it. The other ones they (physically) had in store were meant for Iphones. Not one but two employees told me I could go up to the cashier and see if it would work with my phone given I have Android. Soon as I got up there the young lady started to ring them up even after what I had told her. She continued to ring them up till I said Im not sure if I want to buy them. I just want to see if they would work with my phone first. She more or less kicked me out of the store saying goodbye. I eventually did buy the phones but the next cashier I bought them from was even more short with me. She barely said a word to me and never once looked at me.

I have always loved Big Lots! This location is nice because it is spacious, which means they are able to visibly display a multitude of items while having room to walk. Its also a clean & organized (as much as it can be), and the employees are friendly. The only thing keeping the 5th star is some of the prices & selections of quite a few things. Back in the day, BL was my go to for just about everything because of the price! However, my trip the day has made me question my opinions, lol.
