Ive worked at Lindsay Machine Works for over 7 years. Its easily one of the best companies Ive worked for. The other machinists are helpful and want everyone here to succeed because, of course, the tide raises all ships. The owners put a lot of trust in the machinists and value our opinions on how jobs are run. Which also makes it a very demanding shop to work for, even some machinists with decades of experience cant hack it. If you are up for the challenge, I highly recommend this shop.

3 years ago I was a 45 year old single mother of a newborn when Mike Lindsay hired me and the entire staff welcomed me with open arms, I can’t tell you how much that meant to me. All companies have their ups and downs and 2020 certainly was a test- but we, the Lindsay Machine Works Family, worked together to overcome all the obstacles and persevered. The owners, machinists and office staff are a great group of people and I am so happy to work here.

Great place to get parts done fast and well. Anything from 1 piece to 1,000 this place will take on almost any job! I had the amazing opportunity to work for them a little under a year and a half, and they took me on knowing I had little experience, in the end I definitely needed more years under my belt because the people there are absolute pros, but I learned a lot with my time there! I’d highly recommend anyone that has some years in the field of machining and a good grasp on setting up to apply, they take great care of their employees and it really has that family feel to it. Whether you need parts done or looking for your next place to gain some experience I’d highly recommend LMW to anyone

The best all around machine shop in KC. They can handle anything from a small repair to a one off build. The guys are fast and pay attention to the small details. Work is also done a fair price.

We had a 2x4 enclosure door that needed to have 3 windows cut out on short notice. It only took a day for Lindsay to cut the windows and have the door ready for us to pick up. We were very satisfied with their service and speed.

I have worked with Lindsay Machine Works for several years. They have always been very professional. I have had a few occasians when i needed something fabricated quickly, they have always came through for me. i would recommend them to anyone needing something fabricated or machined.

Our production warehouse has used this company many times for various projects with both steel and aluminum parts, as well as welded lifting devices. The only thing I’ve requested there that they don’t do is case-hardened parts, and from what I’ve found, neither does anyone else in KC.Be advised that their costs are extremely high, but you’re not going to obtain a higher quality of workmanship anywhere. Urgency is the other thing. Every time I’ve used them, they’ve quoted, drawn up the part, obtained stock and finished in less than 3 business days, and we have brought in at least a couple of things needing pretty odd stock.If you’ve had to waste your time going from place to place, having to get the lowest quote in town, only to then be told you have to get the part in as quickly as possible, then my suggestion is that you get your next project behind you by just bringing it in to these folks immediately. Their office staff are all very pleasant to work with and they actually respond to email and phone calls. Our company doesn’t give Lindsay work in volume and we have declined some of their quotes here and there, but when we’re in a bind, they’re the ones that get us out of it. This shop runs like a clock.
