I took my electric guitar in for a service check. It had been in storage for quite awhile - over a decade. Howie did an outstanding job! He checked everything out: pickups; pickup switch; pots; bridge; neck; frets and tuners. He also installed new strings, which I supplied. The guitar was brought back to life, thanks to Howie!

Had may Larrivee adjusted here, refreshingly renewed. Great advice on how to continue caring for my guitar. Friendly service, extremely knowledgeable. I didnt realize this is basically the same folks that were downtown all of those years, I had really missed them. Planning to come back soon for additional things done on my other guitars.

Brought in my PRS with a bad crack near the headstock...Howie did a outstanding job on the repair...when playing you cannot feel the crack at all..neck is smooth. I also had him do a restring and setup on the guitar. Love how it plays and feels. I highly recommend Guitar Haven for all your local guitar needs. Howie and his brother are friendly and knowledgeable with all things music! Rock on!

Awesome guitar shop! We just love this place. It looks and smells like you are inside of a giant dusty humbucker, or in the back of an old fender deluxe. Howie has fixed a few of my les paul necks, and banjos and they are holding up perfectly going on 10 years. I find great things in there for beginner, intermediate and pro. I highly recommend this place, only down side is the crazy parking lot, not their fault though, too many shops beachside, but you can usually get a good story about the old days from the hippie surfers that haunt guitar haven.Thanks,JDL

I dropped my pride and joy PRS for its first service in 15 years. I left it in the hands of Howie, their guitar tech, on a Wednesday afternoon just before closing. I received a phone call the next early afternoon that it would be ready for pickup. I can’t remember my guitar playing ever so well. Excellent service, reasonable and fair pricing, and VERY knowledgeable staff. An A+ experience in every way.

Took lessons here for 4 years with Tony, who is the best instructor you can possibly imagine. Good selection of gear that always changes. Very good lessons. Very good repairs. Recently I traded in a fine 2012 Gibson SG for a 2002 Gibson Studio in gloss black. I am very happy with the whole exchange. And with an ailing Cort accoustic gathering dust I decided to let Howie bring it back to life. He installed a Fishman pre-amp which immediately brought me into the 21st Century. It is now a favorite player equal to my Martin imo, I am not joking. This instrument did not get a single hit on CL a couple of years ago! Customer service is attentive. No pressure sales.

Did an ok job setting up my strat. Not a fabulous job but not a bad job.I am not that pleased with their general attitude they always try to pass off the cheaper products to me. I would rather go to a music store that tries to educate me rather than one that tries to benefit from any stupidity I may have.

I called and asked about a guitar hook and the guy on the phone didnt even know what it was i had to explain to him what it was and i asked about a tuner for a special guitar and he said that it was the same tuning just an octave apart and that octave in the type of guitar has to be precise im not going to call or go there for my guitar needs.
