Dr. Ross provided an excellent and thorough eye exam. Very professional and he took time to explain his findings and any abnormalities. The office staff was personable and pleasant. I came here to get a pair of glasses, I havent been to an eye doctor in 20 plus years and they were really helpful I originally went to another place down the road they were unhelpful and made insurance a first priority. Shirley eye care definitely cares about you first, the staff were all pleasant and courteous. After being referred to Shirley Eye Care by a local online COVID-19 Compliant group, I was overjoyed by the customer care and friendliness from my very first phone call to schedule an appointment. Upon arrival to the office, I noticed that all staff members were COVID compliant, and moreover were professional, caring, and just plain lovely. The office is super clean and inviting, the high technology of the equipment is impressive, and the Doctors competency and care were over and above the norm. I was so thoroughly impressed by my experience that one week later when my father came home from out of town, taking off work for a day for two scheduled doctors appointments, and told me that he thought he may have a cataract in his eye, I immediately told him that he MUST go to Shirley Eye Care. We called at 8am on Monday morning, explained the situation that he was only home for this one day only, and they squeezed him in their busy schedule for 9am so that he was able to be seen by Dr. Shirley and indeed diagnosed with a cataract. This office goes above and beyond, and I am so so grateful that their caring and competent service is available here in Indiana, PA.

I’ve been going to Shirley Eye Care for two years after being referred by a friend. I’ve heard nothing but great things about Dr. Shirley, but my husband and I have always been scheduled with Dr. Ross. The service is exceptional and the modern technology is a plus. After noticing a change in my vision, Dr. Ross took extra time with me to run through all tests before writing my prescription. I can’t recommend them enough and will continue to go to them for all of my eye care needs.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful . They listen to me and help me alleviate any concerns that I had. They also gave me an honest opinion of what the glasses that I was looking for we’re right for me or not. Plus they have a very sic Plus they have a very cute receptionist working there, lol. But on a serious note they were extremely courteous professional, and very punctual with their service. I was in and out in no time. I would recommend them to anyone!!!!

Went in for my 6pm appointment tonight and at 6:15 asked how much longer it would be as I get up at 3am to go to work. I was told my appointment was at 6:20 and there was still someone ahead of me. I never would have taken a 6:20 pm appointment because of my work schedule. I was a patient of Dr. Cook for 40 years and stayed after Dr. Shirley bought the practice to give him a shot. This is disappointing because the medical part of my visit was in November and he wanted me back in 3 weeks to finish and get new glasses7 weeks is hardly 3 but I was patient. I even picked out new frames in November to speed things along. At this point I dont know what the future holds, guess Ill figure it out tomorrow......Dr.Shirley called to correct the visit by staying past closing on Monday. Good visit with new glasses ordered.

I have been going here for eye exams and glasses for 50 years! Dr. Cook was my eye doc until he sadly passed away. Dr Shirley is a great young eye doc, hes very thorough,warm and friendly. The office is attractive and clean and the staff is awesome!

Dr. Shirley and staff are terrific! I was running late, but was welcomed with a friendly greeting from every staff member I interacted with even though I was the last patient of the day! Dr. Shirley identified the root cause of my eyes watering more than normal and patiently worked to improve my condition. Much to my delight it worked! Since my visit I’ve been able to wear contacts more easily and even avoid the annoying watering when I had grown used to. I highly recommend Dr. Shirley and will continue going back!

Cant recommend Shirley Eye Care enough - I moved to Indiana and hadnt seen an eye doctor since I left Pittsburgh, but decided it was time to go. Actually, I had been having to use daily disposable contacts because Id had trouble with regular disposable ones in the past, and this was an extra expense that had led me to just wearing glasses for a few years. Well, Dr. Shirley prescribed me regular disposable contact lenses that he said my eyes should be able to tolerate - and he was right. Ive been back to be a contact-wearer ever since, and it is a lot more convenient than having to worry about glasses all day. The staff is nice and helpful, and Dr. Shirley gets you in and out pretty quickly. I went during the work day and barely lost any time.

Very thorough. Explains testing in detail and Answers all questions. All staff members were exceptionally kind and helpful! Will visit again.

Prior to leaving home went to a doc in a box on Saturday and had eye checked as it was bothering me. They found nothing wrong, and suggested maybe minor abrasion and Rx for cream for eye. So they said not going to be a problem, enjoy your vacation. Drove over 425 miles to a Ambrose, PA and eye just got worse. Went to intermediate care center as the white os eye now a solid pink. They did not have tools to diagnose but they called Dr. Shirley’s office and made arrangements for me to go there immediately. Turns out I had something imbedded in cornea which he removed and bandaged. Did follow up the next day as well. Very kind and generous to provide care to someone so far from home.

Dr. Shirley is a very kind person. There was a mixup with my daughters appointment. Dr. Shirley handled the situation very professionally. I also got an eye infection and he got me in right away. Left another optometrist and so glad I did. Thank you Dr. Shirley.

On 12/14/2017 my roommate and I were skeptical about driving from near the Pittsburgh airport all the way to Indiana PA for an optometrist that does contacts for Keratoconus. Now both of us are extremely happy we did. The staff is so nice and patient and welcoming. Dr. Shirley was a comforting breath of fresh air. He knows his specialty very well. He listened to all the questions and concerns. He took his time explaining the information to us and made sure we had a good understanding of everything to come. Sometimes when you go to a doctor of any kind you cant help but feel like youre just a number waiting to be called at the deli counter and rushed out, not really understanding what your doctor is saying. You will not have that experience here.
