Cafeteria style restaurant but the food and service was good, very friendly staff!

Both of our meals were like warm. Portion was fine with the mayfield being the half.

The only thing in my opinion of the restaurant is this: The rolls are good. Service is great. But, the rest of the food I ate had no flavor or taste to it.

Everything was delicious. We had fried chicken, fried catfish, mashed potatoes, green beans, mac and cheese, cheesecake and creme brulee. The sweet tea is perfect! Our experience was excellent.

I always heard good things about this place, although the fried chicken was really good and crispy, that and the green beans were the only things good out of our meal. We also got the salmon patty, Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes (which didnt come with the gravy and were very bland), fruit, and coconut cream pie. If youre a fan of coconut cream pie, this pie doesnt have cream on top of the filling, its whipped egg whites. So it was different for me, but I didnt like it much. The Mac n cheese gave me hometown buffet vibes, where you HAD to eat it when its hot. You let it cool a bit the cheese sauce clumps up and tastes chalky. Id have it again, but I think I was just get a bunch of fried chicken and green beans.

The food always taste great!! My favorites are the stuffed chicken breast and grilled chopped steak!! The desserts need improvement though! The selection looks very poor!! And you need to bring back ice cream please!! I cant believe Corrine still works there I bet shes worked there 40 + years!! It was good to see her. Shes a familiar face built in the restaurant!! I will give it a. 4 star review

The food was ok. The fried Chicken is always good according to my husband. My choice is the bean salad and the desert. The lovely lady that carries the trays deserves a huge raise after @1 years and an all expense pd vacation. She is STELLAR! Idk what MCL would be like without her.

We are here, (Me and the best friend Michael) right now. Havent been for a while. Mostly because this one here in Speedway has been lacking in the over salting of the food! The one on 86th and the one one Southside doesnt do an injustice to the grub by oversalting it. Manager Mike, what is to happen!?!?

Very disappointed in my dinner this evening, went in at 7pm. Not sure why after walking in that we didnt just did turn and walk back out. We were a party of 2, my friend had the Turkey with Brussel Sprouts ( Very disappointed in both) thought that the turkey would have been excellent ( since they had just brought out a fresh one) but it had a strange taste. The Brussel Sprouts were cold and very bitter. I had the Chicken Pot Pie. Sorry not able to finish review as it is limited as to length. Would have preferred going to the east side as before coming back to speedway.

I absolutely love the liver n onions! Cant find anything like this outside of my daddys kitchen and the rolls are just like my grandmothers.

1st thing we noticed was there were only 3 trays for us to put our food on. The food was ok, but by the time we waited for drinks & waited to pay for our meal, our food was gettin cold. The staff seemed more interested in was the person 2 ststions down was up to rather than the customer in front of them. I probably wont be back to this location again.

Its mediocre. the foods not a very good quality but the older generation seems to love it. its not very good but lots of seating and lots of staff constantly friendly. my grandma loves this place but i think the food is rather bland

Good home cooked food. A little pricey because they charge for each item you choose. I chose prime rib for #10.95 but potatoes, salad, bill came to $45 for 2 people. Prime rib was huge though!

Every person on the staff there today was nice and upbeat. I really like when people my age (43) are nice to our elders. Kudos to the manager and everyone at this MCL. Food was good too!

Fried chicken is good and the main courses are ok. Salads are way too pricey and the mac n cheese is only good on the inner partsIf they give you any from the edge of pan they arent very good. We went around lunch and they must have been short staffed,bc workers were doing 2 jobs

I apparently got there during the senior home dinner outting and I feel like the price was a bit outlandish but still, amazing and fresh food

I reserved the back room for my dads repass dinner. When I got there 2 families were eating in the room. The mgr said most people only stay 20 minutes. The waitress recognize them as regulars and knew they stay long. He ask them to move. No one cleaned the room. I had to wash tables, vacuum and discard trash. Tons of damaged chairs stack on both sides of the room. A pair of shoes and an old sweater was in the room. I was horrified. I didnt complain as there was no time before my family party on 20 would arrive. I was greiving. Only one waitress for the entire restaurant. We did tip her more than $60. I stopped counting. I will never eat there again. I confirmedy visit and there was no need because nothing was done in preparation.

Broccoli and lima beans are often undercooked.

The food is not hot. Dont know if its the steam burners but it is a disappointment to have like warm food especially when its a dine in.

The food was delicious! There was no waiting in line, as normally you would when going to a cafeteria. This was unusual, but was so nice. I encourage you to go to MCL. The servers, and cashier and everyone that waited on us were all very courteous and made us feel as tho they were happy to serve us.

The food is just like homemade.Everything was very good and our group enjoyed everything.

I always get good food and service at MCL Speedway. I thought they closed at 8:30pm, but they now close at 8:00. I got there about 7:45. Maybe it was on me, but I felt a slight bit rushed. They were cleaning up for closing, and it seemed as if they were short staffed on the serving line. The meal was good. I took a piece of pie home. My review was probably a 3.5, for that day, only.

This was my first visit to this restaurant. There is plenty of parking available. We arrived just behind a bus, so there was a line of about 50 in front of us. But they moved surprisingly quickly through the line. The food was good. Served with generous portions on hot plates. Kristina attended to us in the dining room with silverware and napkins and drink refills, etc. She did an excellent job. The pricing, at least for me seemed confusing, and certainly unclear. If they have a special which includes an entree and 2 sides, I dont know what my choices are so as to get the special pricing. Otherwise, everything is a la carte, and if you are not careful, you can easily blow the budget.

The chicken livers were amazing, the iced tea was wonderful and as always, the service from Shelly was great.

Grandaughter wanted to go for chicken on the bone. Out of legs when we ordered and said they would bring them out in10 minutes when they were done. In about 15 minutes i went to get them and only had one leg. Watermelon mushy but tasty. Green beans were definitely not what im used to here.Boring with no flavor of the bacon, chix stock or salt and pepper. Tasted straight out of the can. Sweet tea was not anything id call sweet, tasted like regular.

Lilly is so high spirited and it makes me felt at home when i walked in . i never felt like that walking into a place . It really made my day . THANKS LILLY !

All you can eat catfish for $5.65 was a hit for a last minute Friday night meal. The fish was very tasty and we enjoyed it. Were going back next Friday. I also had red potatoes and they were good as well.

Lots of choices for a fairly decent price. Excellent, polite, friendly service from all the staff. Servers, cashier and table bussers treated all the old people with patience. 2 of the people in our party were happy to discover that Liver and Onions were on the menu and they both declared 2 thumbs up for the flavor, tenderness and portion size. A very clean, well kept store.

Erika is ther best server! Its like she senses what would make your meal better before you know. Easy for me to eat healthy and still have choices.

MCL cafeteria is one of the best places to eat! I have been going there since I was a little girl everytime I come home I love that place I go I definitely recommend MCL Cafeteria I like the one in Speedway because its the closest but theyre all good money well spent and I always end up taking some home with me people are friendly clean good atmosphere 5stars!!!😋

Staff was kinda unfriendly, but food was okay, sometimes you get cold stuff since its a buffet style, social distancing is on point prices are okay but can get pricey with add ons, kids eat free with a paid adult on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays!!

I have been going to MCL since I was a little boy. That being said, it saddens me to say that I would no longer recommend this restaurant to anyone who makes less than six figures a year. Unless you have money to throw away MCL cafeteria is not the place to eat. The food is average and the prices are outrageous. Which is a travesty because this use to be such a wonderful place to meet the family and eat.
