Got my sensor cleaned while I waited, and used the opportunity to drool over the amazing array of photography gear!

Purchased a lens online, and it was ready for pick up in under 30 minutes! I will be traveling 2hrs from my home just to purchase more equipment from here, simply because of the friendly service, and fast pick up!

Great customer service from customer service agent LEAH K.Used Photo Pro AKA Roberts Camera, helped me through a DSLR buying process that at first didnt go too well. READ ON.........I had been looking on Craigslist and ebay for a D8XX Series Nikon, not having much luck I thought to look at UPP. ( I had purchased a SB700 flash from them a while back but never a camera). Actually..... I had never purchased a used camera before. Always bought new.The first used camera I bought from UPP was a D810 and it was in excellent condition, however upon receiving it I found it to have a huge crack behind the lens mount. I called and told them and they immediately sent a return label. I got my refund and then waited for another one to come up into their inventory with a low shutter count. I saw a D800 a few weeks later. I got this one, and upon receiving it I saw it had tiny little oil like specks in the viewfinder, the grip was also peeling. This is a D800 with about 6k shutter.Well after returning this one too I found another D810. They exchanged the D800 for the D810. This one I found with no issues and plan on keeping it. I am glad UPP offers a warranty and also with a great return policy it takes the edge off of buying used gear.At this point one must be thinking why I continued to purchase after having these issues, well in short had I bought from ebay there is no guarantee that I would have not had the same issues... and there I would ave not been able to return the defective items so easily. Actually it really surprises me that people buy a camera worth near 3 grand and treat it so poorly sometimes. Anyway that is just the way things are sometimes.I am happy with my 3rd camera, a D810 and and thankful for the great customer service received by Leah K. She pulled the camera and went through the camera with me on the phone, she also stuck a lens on there and took test shots for me. Since the camera was missing a few items she also dug up some things for me and made it a more complete package.This is not a paid or solicited review. This is my experience and as it happened.

Ive been buying from them for a couple years now and Ive never had any issues. The prices are always reasonable especially since I can pick up my orders at the store so I dont have to wait for shipping. Having pictures of the actual items you want to buy on the website is also a nice touch that sets them apart from other used retailers.

Ive purchased a couple of used items from here and am completely satisfied. The descriptions of their equipment are honest and their prices are extremely reasonable. What really got me to try them is the warranties that come with equipment even though its used.Ive even called them a few times for advice on the appropriate lenses to use under various conditions - and the staff always has gone out of their way to be helpful. I am a very satisfied customer.

I have made more multiple purchases from here, both from their direct Website and from ebay. My first purchase was sort of a test purchase from ebay as I thought the price was too good to be true. I was absolutely surprised by the quality of the lens when it showed up.I have never had a bad encounter or purchase, and am now a loyal customer. They get all of my business as they have earned it. I was looking for something pretty specific that I really didnt expect to find just as a display piece for my studio and it was not available in the as-is condition that I requested. Hannah in customer support directed me where to look for it, if it was available and also gave me options on how to get the item in actual working condition by possibly selling them some equipment that I am not using any more.Hannah, thank you by the way for your amazing customer service. I purchased the Nikon 60mm 2.8 D lens and was described as very good but when I received it other than the packing it came in it looked brand new. Better than described. I ordered Monday and received it Wednesday.

Update: I think this place is DISHONEST. They sent me another body, however, it came with another broken focus screen again. I feel like you guys did this on purpose. Yes, they partially refunded some money so I can buy a new screen. But it turned out this body had the light leaking issue as well. So I have to spend another $20 to ship it for a $120 repair. I started this purchase in August and I still cannot use this camera and wasted lots of money on film, process and scanning. Every time I speak with customer service, they always blamed Mamiya RB67 which its an old system, they dont have much control. As I mentioned before, film photography is really a small community, but you cannot monopolize it. I suggest all film photographers should use Keh, eBay, or Japan Camera Hunter.______________________________________________________Let me have the conclusion first: Roberts/Used Photo Pro, they do not have the ability to handle and/or test the used film camera gear or they are just dishonest.Heres the story. I bought a Mamiya RB67 body and a 120 film back from them and I made TWO returns and exchanges.The fist time the camera body came with focus screen completely broken and I dont think they wound not notice while packing. The second time was the film back. The shutter still fired when the dark slide inserted so the film back was defective which their staff admitted as well.Of course I got my refund back with a really minor apologies, but I want the owner of Roberts/ Used Photo Pro to remember: the used film camera and film photography community is really small. You guys should feel luck you sold the defective gears to me who is nobody instead of popular YouTubers, bloggers and social media photographers. And do not let your money come to Keh and eBay.

I was very unhappy with the lense I received as it was not the quality I was informed of it being. However, after talking to whom I think was a manager of Roberts cameras and then the owner of Used Photo Pro, I am VERY PLEASED. They are completely taking care of the problem and replacing my lense with a better one for no extra charge. Probably the best customer service Ive ever felt with once I finally got to talk to these two gentlemen!

The worst place to sell or trade in your gear. They will offer you the lowest possible price that you can get. I took in two Sigma lenses, both of which were in mint condition and they offered me $300 for both. I sold one on craigslist for $300 and traded the other one in through Amazon for $250. Also, the used gear they sell is rated higher than what it should be. Moral - dont sell or purchase used gear from them.

I have been buying from Roberts since 2008. I have been buying mostly used equipment although i did purchase the panasonic dmc G7k recently new.A month ago i bought an Olympus omd-em5. I wanted to see the difference between the panasonic mft and the olympus so in the beginning the Em5 was my 2nd camera to shoot with. than i realized just how good olympus was. After shooting with the em5 and a 60mm macro lens at garfield observatory. The only problem i had was the buttons on the em5 and the hand grip as well so i looked into the Omd-Em1. I liked it so much i started saving so i could get one instead. Little did i know i only had 14 days to return it to do so but i was thinking 30 days. Well today was day 30.I was informed that it had expired but i thought on returns it was 30 days.Jonathan said that he would take care of me This time, anyways. Man was i happy.Roberts Used Dept is by far better then it ever has been especially with the new location setup off St. Clair. Take the Time and Visit them.
