The Visionworks location on Washington St in Indianapolis is a very professionally run efficient store. The ladies there are ultra pleasant to work with and they seem to care about what they are doing. Go there for your eye care!
Staff was VERY professional, patient, and helpful from signing in, to delivering glasses. Was told glasses would be ready on Monday, however, got a text 2 hours later, saying glasses were ready. I appreciate their prompt service, wouldnt go ANYWHERE else and feel this comfortable
They are always helpful. And they work really hard to get you the best deal!! I have insurance and purchased glasses, contacts, and prescription safety glasses, they calculated multiple ways to get the best deal and the minimum out of pocket cost!!
Everyone at the store was super helpful. And they got my glasses done in one day. I couldnt be more happy about that this is a really good place to go they accept most insurance and if you dont have insurance its relatively cheap.

Very slow and disorganized. Rude...their method of helping you is to tell you to sit down. One woman worked from her chair the whole time. Asked for her opinion on glasses, and she looked from her chair. Was getting several pairs of glasses, told her she could get started processing my order of the ones I was definitely getting. She continued to sit there wasting time. Customer service SUCKS!!!!!
Despite the negative reviews, I gave Visionworks a try do to their positive reviews. My experience was polite, friendly and the staff openly communicating with a smile on their faces. The Optometrist was very knowledgeable and the staff was helpful for my case. This was my first time giving Visionworks a shot and this location was worth it for my individual experience.

I love this place! I have worn glasses since I was in 3rd grade and it was always a bad experience of doctors not listening to me. I had cataract surgery about 5 years ago, giving me monovision. I didnt know how difficult it was going to be to get a pair of glasses for computer work but it wasnt any problem for this staff. I get in and out quickly and am always very satisfied with the outcome. Thank you E Washington Street Indy for all you do.
So, I moved to a new side of town on top of I experienced an issue with a staff person at my last optometrist office. I’m the type that really hates switching a doctor or something that I like so I was reluctant but decided on VisionWorks because of their great hours/availability.I made an appointment for me and my son, I was running a little short on time because of my baby’s daycare only offering shortened hours due to Covid. The staff were extremely accommodating and respectful of this. They got us in and out. I was able to leave, get my baby and come back to finish shopping for frames.All staff were welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable from start to finish. There were good and affordable options to choose from. I’d like to see more premium brands and a tween section but overall, I’m satisfied.I definitely recommend and plan on returning.
Employees were great but dont believe the you get 2 pair when you buy 1 picked up 1 pair was told other pair would bein a week after multiple calls and 2 months later still no second pair

Recently went here to get next glasses and an eye exam. Really easy, no wait, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Variety of glasses to choose from which is nice. Plus I got my glasses same day because they werent busy. 10/10 recommend going.
Stopped in today and picked up my trial contact lenses as they had to be ordered. The person who waited on my just handed them to me with absolutely no instructions. Luckily I wore contacts years ago so knew how to insert them in my eye and basic care. I would have thought they would have at least offered some instructions.
Pitifully awful office staff. Scheduled weeks in advance for 3 family members. They told me 10am. I get there at 9:45, they say one of us already missed our 9:30 appt. No attempt to resolve.
They are not very polite or friendly in the store. They dont say Hi when you walk in they stare at you and make you wait like youre not better. Its just polite and courteous a kind to say help below will be right with you and not hard to do. They dont even let you see if you would like their glasses on your face who cares of a lack of on line that doesnt do you any good. So I would choose to go to someone who is customer friendly kind and helpful and want you to look your best so never go to them

I decided to try this office because my daughters normal office was closed due to Covid. She received her exam and ordered new glasses. Glasses came in about 2 weeks later (not bad), although they were loose and never fit her face right. I took her back to have an exam for contacts...they put the order in for those which took about a week to come in. She went in for the fitting and one of the contacts were torn. The doctor said she would put in a new order but she could still practice with these but not to wear them for too long. So fast forward...2 1/2 months has passd and no contacts. I’ve called several times and was told they received the wrong contacts or were waiting for them to come in and the last time I called I was told there was no order at all. There was no apology or explanation as to what happened. Totally unacceptable! I will not be going back.

Very clean office, staff very personable and professional. Was very happy with my visit. Eager to help and answer all of my questions and put my concerns at ease.
Visit was timely and thorough. The process of finding frames and getting checked out was easy. They even had my prescription in stock so my glasses should be ready in a couple days, as I went on a Saturday.
This place is amazing. Very people friendly. Staff members are quick and very helpful. The doctor was nice. No rushing you to get out. They allow you to take your time and make sure your satisfied before walking out the door. My daughter was able to pick out some great glasses. Thank you vision works.
Doctor, she was nice. Not too pushy. Spent just the right amount of time. All other staff no problems. Lady that helped us decide on which insurance to use was very good.

Was a very prompt and efficient place of business everyone was friendly services went above and beyond I love this location.
I was promptly greeted as I came in the door. I was led back to the desk where I was given paperwork to fill out concerning my personal information and medical history. After turning the paperwork in to the lady at the desk I walked around in the main room looking at the frames available for purchase. In less than 5 minutes Dr. Poling appeared and introduced herself to me and took me back to the exam room. It was my first visit to Visionworks and a very pleasant experience.
They were friendly, I was there for 2 hrs. I like it, because you get, your glasses the next day.

You should know you are getting display frames that who knows how many people have tried on and dropped. They just add lenses to the display frames. And if you have state insurance you are getting old mark down clearance frames that definitely arent straight. They say u get display ones because they make them there and u get them sooner that the frames arent very old. Maybe but maybe not depending on the frames you just dont know how worn out they are. The exam was ok other than not having someone to sign in with for awhile but as far as getting the glasses they just tell you to find some that your insurance covers and then those are the exact ones u get if they r bent they just tweak them. And the lenses are rushed so they dont fit well and are dirty. There was paper stuck around the lenses into the frames and they werent even cut to fit correctly. Wish I had known ahead of time. I returned the frames but now have to find somewhere to take the kids rx they gave them and just get frames through the insurance. Waste of time and way too much trouble. The service is not great they seem short staffed and uneducated. Short with customers and simply dont know what they are doing for fitting frames or cutting lenses. Not something that will last long. Not worth it.
Friendly people and very well kept place. I liked the wide range in choices of glasses they had and I enjoyed the helpful service when finding the ones I liked. They did spend a few extra days more than I expected getting my glasses ready for me but other than that I’m glad I chose to go there.
I had an exam in February at the East Washington location. All the gals were just as sweet as could be. I also took my mother in law who had an eye exam shortly after mine. She really enjoyed working with the opticians as they made it all about her. They let her know what was the latest trend so that she could be in style. Our lenses had to be ordered but we had them in just a few days. Which was the quickest Ive ever had glasses come back completed when I went through other places. Thank you to the staff on East Washington!
Doctors awesome; all front office staff needs to be let go and more experienced ones hired. Or better training and monitoring needs to take place.Customer service is way more than scheduling and taking payment. Putting customers on hold constantly to ask questions you should know the answer to after the first hold is one of the fastest ways to piss some one off. Gather all of the callers info when you put them on hold. They have lost my business completely in that particular store and I have three children and myself that patronage that store. My dollars, time, and how Im treated is very important because these services are not FREE.

It took over 3 weeks for me to get my glasses.Then I had to call to check up on them.No courtesy call or nothing! Then after the glass arrived,I had to wait another 5 days only to receive a text lol..I guess it’s a good place if you have a weak prescription,but if you’ve got a heavy prescription go elsewhere or you’ll go blind waiting lol
Dr. Amanda was WONDERFUL. She took time with my mom and explained things very well. The young lady that greeted us aS very accommodating and helped so much.
Scheduling was a breeze! Getting seen by the optometrist was quick and easy. She was professional and friendly.When it came to the selection of frames I was disappointed and they told me I would have to drive all the way to Avon for safety frames. I left without purchasing frames. It was disappointing.
The young lady cut my bill down to half. She was awesome!
The only issue I had was choice of frames. I didnt feel like they had a huge choice. then they have piles of glasses laying around that we arent allowed to touch because they were previously touched. so maybe have someone focus on getting those back on the wall for other patrons to choose from.

I had an eye injury and was afraid I was going to lose my vision in one eye. This was my second eye doctor afterward because I wanted a second opinion and because of the images they take of the eye. I was told the best and worst outcome that I could have and the anatomy of the eye was explained to me. My questions were answered in a way I was able to understand and Im honestly looking forward to another visit because of the quick the services and the information I recieved..
I made an appointment almost a year in advance when getting my glasses the previous time. When I arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment, there was 1 employee working the entire floor by himself. This employee was swamped, as there were others who had scheduled appointments close to mine and people were walking in too. Whats the point in scheduling an appointment here if the business will not schedule employees to meet the need accordingly? I had to wait for about an hour and 15 minutes before seeing the optometrist. I feel as if the business could better organize themselves in order to serve the customer more efficiently. Expect a long wait when you come here - even if youve made an appointment.
Ive been there twice so far, the staff are wonderful and kind. Their selection of frames are magnificent. Ive never been more comfortable at a doctors office than when I am there!
I called in this morning and spoke with Marcus. He said that if I made it within the next 15 to 20 minutes that they could do something for me I arrive 10 minutes later and they proceeded to tell me they are booked for the entire day and that they will have to schedule me for a later day he also added that he would have to order the glasses anyway so it will take several days after I asked him on the previous call did I make the glasses in house he stated yes most can be made in house but some do have to be ordered. I’m very disappointed with the service be honest when I call and ask a question just tell me the truth if I need to make an appointment over the phone tell me don’t let me drive 45 minutes to your just to be told your booked .Thanks guys .

Extremely thorough and attentive! My daughter has diabetes and they did a great job educating us about the importance of her eye health and the consequences of high blood sugar levels for her overall health. Quality care here!

Lindsay helped me. She was awesome. She knew that my insurance would pay for one pair of glasses and the current sale they had was buy one get one free. So getting 2 pairs of glasses for the price of one my insurance paid for my glasses and I got a free pair of sunglasses. Of course it wasnt that simple Lindsay needed to get help in order to run my glasses through the Billing System. What she didnt know she found somebody who did and made sure that she could help me.

I purchased one pair of glasses from there about 4-5 months ago for almost $300 and they are already broken. My America’s Best “2 pair for $149” frames from 2 years ago are still perfectly fine. I won’t waste my money again...

DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT!I had a very unfortunate experience in this store today. I purchased eyeglasses from this location mid-April 2016. I am a full-time contact wearer but wear glasses about 2 hours each evening. About November 2016 (7 months post purchase), I started to notice small spots on my lenses, in the UV coating. They were small and I wear them so infrequently, that I put off bringing them in. Fast forward 5 months and the spots have multiplied so, that I can no longer see clearly through the glasses. The UV coating used is obviously defective. Mind you, I ONLY clean my lenses with the supplied cloth and warm breath.I brought them back today and explained the issue to the first person I encountered. He asked Did you buy the cheapest package? Thats probably why. Seriously? You dont stand behind all of your products? I did buy the basic lens package because I wear them so little. I asked if they could remove or fix the coating. He called over someone (more senior?) who also wanted to know if I bought the basic package. confirmed, YES I DID. Well, if you brought them in earlier, MAYBE I could have done something but its been over a year and your prescription is expired. So, our hands are tied! (FYI, it is about two weeks past one year!)I was pretty upset at this point and asked why they dont stand behind their product if it is defective? No answer, only my hands are tied. This is the kind of customer service and assistance you can expect fromt his store when something is wrong with their product or service. Other reviewers have obviously experienced the same. I would avoid this store if you want a trustworthy product and good service should things not be quite right. I feel like I was basically told too bad. Awful experience!
The best place in town for customer service. If they get wrong the first time they will keep trying till they get it right. Ask for Jennifer she places her customers first.

The vision works staff was very helpful and they were very polite.
Was able to walk right in without an appointment, had exam and ordered glasses. Because of the prescription, they had to order lenses and I was told theyd be ready to pick up in 10 days, however, received a text that they were ready in only 2 days. There was a problem with the frames and they replaced them free of charge. Every staff member was friendly, would highly recommend them.

Service was stellar, best Optician Ive had, but the completed pair of glasses were horrible. They were bulky and extremely heavy. I returned them for a full refund two days later.
