DICE, DICE, DICE. A great store! Outstanding selection of hundreds of games and probably the best service of any game store I have been to. Damn, I wish I would have got his name. Ill get it next time I go, because Im definitely going back. Did I mention the selection of dice? Easily the best selection of dice in Indiana outside of GenCon. Dare I say.....paradice;)

A neat place to buy from many franchise board games, to anime/video game model kits or sci-fi/Star Wars books & Japanese mangas at reasonable prices, the staff are very friendly and polite which I recommend anyone to pay them a visit.

Every time I go into Saltire, I am greeted and immediately have some one assisting me. As a board game lover, how they have things displayed makes asking questions and getting answers very easy.

Reletively recently relocated a bit west of their old location, still on Pendleton Pike. Same helpful staff, friendly, knowledgeable, and Watson had a nifty game suggestion. Loyalty card available to earn discounts. Open gaming tables stopped during pandemic, but reopen in June 2021. Unisex restroom has a baby-changing table! Nice new look, great job guys.

I liked the vibe of this place! We spent the weekend game store hopping on the outskirts of Indianapolis and this was one of only two places that actually greeted us when we walked in the store. They were both helpful and friendly when we asked a barrage of questions about the store and area (we were thinking of moving to the state). While the selection of board games wasn’t huge, it was unique. There were a ton of games that I had not seen elsewhere. Bonus: they had the biggest selection of dice I’ve ever seen in a brick & mortar store.

By FAR my favorite FLGS in Indy. I absolutely love it here, and I go way more than I should. The people are knowledgable and helpful, they have a great selection, and anything they dont have, they will happily order for you. So lucky this store is 5 minutes from our house.

Whats an absolutely fantastic store. They have a wide selection of board games, card games as well as RPGs. They have a wall full of miniatures and a ton of other stuff you normally do not see in a store. The staff here is very nice and they have some cool decorations and the store is laid out nicely. What a gem of a store.

I absolutely love this local gaming store. The staff are positive and good people. Their care for the store and the people who shop there really show in everything they do. The owner(s) are always willing to help build the local community or help out for a good cause. For those who need game space, they have a spacious gaming area with several nights devoted to individual games. I cant recommend this place enough!

Came in for the first time last week and was extremely impressed with the selection of miniatures they carry, and even more so with how friendly the staff was! I believe the guy who helped me was named Mike ( sorry if I got it wrong) and he was cool enough to answer all my questions about the D&D adventures league games they run there every week, I look forward to checking it out once all this craziness dies out! Great store, Ill definitely be back to shop there again!

Saltire Games is a wonderful place to play and buy all sorts of tabletop games. The store is clean, the staff is very friendly, HUGE selections, plenty of tables. Highly recommend! The 1 star reviews are all from the old management years ago, the people who run it now are killing it.

The buy here play here store. Great game selection of everything non-electronic. Role playing games, board games, card games you name it! Plenty of open free seating to play games as well as a whole wall of games that are free to try out and even rent over night if you want to.

Great place to pick up just about any table top game. If they dont happen to have it theyre more than happy to order it. Need a gift and youre not sure what to get, go in and talk to J. D. or Phil. They give great recommendations. Theres also an open game area. Every night theyre open theres also multiple games running!

Ive only been here once, but they were super welcoming, informative, and invested in us having a good time. They have games available for demo anytime and offer the ability to rent games (which you can later buy at a discount if you rented) lots of space available for gaming, three side rooms from the main merch area.

Great active gaming environment, a wide selection of lesser known games actually stocked on the store shelves. The only employee Ive ever encountered there was Phil who was one of the most gracious game store employees Ive ever had the pleasure to encounter, he took the time to introduce me to a game I was curious and went out of his way to make me feel welcome. Now Ive never seen anyone else working there, specifically the woman mentioned in some of the other reviews so I cant comment to that aspect of their customer service. Ive been happy so far and will continue to patron this store until given a reason not to.

This is my go-to games store. The are amazing and they even have demo copies of most of the games they sell, so you can look before you buy. The clerk that used to be a problem is long gone. I only go to other stores if Saltire doesnt have something in stock.

The board game selection was not the largest in the Indy area but I saw several titles present that I had never found in person at any other FLGS (plenty of RPG stuff too, in fact, a ton of it if thats your thing). Prices were fair (standard retail) and they have a great rewards program. The two gentlemen who were working while I was there were very kind and knowledgeable about the products -- nice because neither of those is a given. They also seemed to have plenty of gaming room and tables as well as a pretty active gaming community based out of there. I will definitely be returning.

Returned here to purchase models for X-Wing, found the store clean and well stocked. Staff was very nice and the play area was recently renovated! Will do further shopping here in the future!

These guys never have the games I call in about, and they say theyve never even heard of the games Ive mentioned. These people are not with the times and have no current, fresh games. If youre going to have a board game shop, you need to do your research and stay current with whats coming out, because otherwise youre just an embarrassment.

I play Battletech every other week, and I have never met the lady that the 1 star reviews mention. The store owners are very nice, and the store has a wide selection, and even includes games I never heard of before.

PROS: This place has a huge selection of stock to choose from. Theyre staff is very knowledgeable about the products they sell, and even most gaming stuff that they dont. Ive never had an issue with the employees, as one of the previous reviewers commented. They always seem friendly and willing to help.The prices on the products are what youd expect, everything hovering right around MSRP. Some things cheaper, some things more. It evens out to a wash there. BUT, and its a big but, they have a rewards program. Every $100 you spend, you get $10 off your next purchase of more than $10. That means that after a few trips there, youre actually getting everything 10% off.They also have a pretty good sized gaming area, where you can play games. Private rooms you can request (ahead of time, I believe -- Ive never done the requesting, just the playing in the rooms), as well as a large open gaming area. Its the best place in town to play Warmachine, Magic the Gathering, and Pathfinder Society.There are also a ton of food places nearby. Pizza, hamburgers, sandwiches, tacos, milkshakes, salads, and anything sold at a dollar store and a gas station are all within a 2 minute walk from the entrance to the building. The store does not sell food themselves, but they do have a Pepsi vending machine in the store, at vending machine prices.CONS: It is a long drive to get there, at least from where I live. And while it isnt their fault at all, there is no public transit that has a stop close to the store. The closest that there is is 3 miles away. Not really that much of a walk or a bike to get from the bus stop to the store, but its still slightly annoying, enough to mention. The only reason I cant give this place 5 stars is that reason: distance.Conclusion: If you live on the east side already, this is where you should game and by your products, without a doubt. If you live closer to downtown or the west side, or dont have a vehicle, its annoying to get there at times. But, its still worth the trip. Go there.

Well stocked, polite and they know their games.Story time: I went in wanting to look at some DnD books I was going to order off amazon (they were about $50 cheaper for the set online but I wanted to see the books in person). Owner approaches me and I told him I was looking to DM and asked what I would need. He took 30 minutes out of his time to show me and discuss all the products that are necessary, helpful, and extra. Even opened some of the products to show me what they really were. I explained I was starting a school club and he told me about discounts, borrowing paints for students to paint minutures, and borrowing games if I wanted to try some others with my students.Hands down customer service sold me. I ended up buying all the books and some extra stuff from him right then and there reguardless of the cheaper price on Amazon. Its stores like this that will make it in an ever increasing internet shopping era.
