He performed surgery for meneirs disease and it changed my life for the better! Thank you dr fritsch 10 years later!
If I could give zero stars I would my appointment time was 1:30, I didnt get seen until 1 hour later for just cleaning of my ears it would be 174 without a hearing test so I got here at 1:30 and its almost 3pm now
I have been seeing Dr. Fritsch since the other doctor left. I had ear surgery for a cholesteatoma before dr Fritsch but he is very good. I have to go every year to make sure my ear tumor doesn’t come back. We have to drive about an hour and a half to see him for regular ear checkups.
I came because a friend said hes the best. Both appointments I sat for 1 hour and nothing was said. The staff was basically just shoulder shrugging about it. When I came back for 2nd time he acted like we never met b4 and told me to schedule another hearing test with them to check something out. Never went back.
Great place. Understandably slow. Plan for extra time. Friendly staff!!!
I received excellent care and service from both Dr. Fritsch and staff over the last two years. I was referred to him by my Local ENT and ended up getting surgery on my left ear for a Cholesteotoma with Retraction pocket. I am on the mend and healed up well. I have no visible scars and feel so much better. I would recommend him to anyone with a complicated case. He is the Master Surgeon for the ear. Thanks so much!
Dr. Fritsch does great work!
I have had ear problems since I was a year old. After 5 surgeries, and in my 20s, I was finally referred to Dr. Fritsch. He told me exactly what he was going to do, and said it would be the last surgery I would need. Safe to say, he was right! No problems AT ALL with my ear, and I am 2 years out of his surgery. Very thankful for this doctor, and what he does. The best of the best, in my opinion.
Dr. Michael H. Fritsch and his staff were great! My very first visit with him went good. Hes very knowledgeable and went over different options what he wants to do and how he can help me with my issues. I would recommend him to Dr. Fritsch to anyone.
Do not let him do surgery on you!, this dude came in an hour and a half late to the surgery, he was supposed to do the surgery with a scope he assured me that he will not make any incisions, however he had more surgeries to do that day so he decided to cut me open because its quicker and easier to do, once all done he said ooh well it was necessary, even though the three different scans i did before the surgery and a different doctor confirmed he does not need to cut me open, i would not trust this demon Im still in pain the scar is still there and the cut is not healing yet after two years
Only does ears, but got me to the right doc--very nice facilities and practice!
Ive been a patient of Dr. Fritsch for over 20 years and would not trust anyone else to work on my ears. He is kind, patient and intelligent. He takes his time with me and helps me understand what is going on.
Great Dr. Hes very friendly, kind, caring and shows all around concern for a person.
My mother felt unheard and invalidated at her appointment. The doctor was pressuring her into bariatric surgery while she was there for a completely unrelated diagnosis. Doctors need to stop pressuring these weight loss surgeries to those are are not seeking those options. It’s a sensitive topic and poor bedside manners to do so. It’s also just plain indecent for anyone, let alone a health professional who works with people during their most vulnerable moments. My mother has already set up future treatment with another provider elsewhere.
In my opinion he is a great ear doctor. I recommend him highly. He did a surgery requiring grafting and new ear drum.
I was nervous because of the reviews and I really needed a Dr who was knowledgeable. Im glad I came to him. I saw someone else who referred me him anyways. He looked right at me once and knew I gland issues. No one else could tell by looking at me . I have gland issues results of bad oral surgery.
I was sent to Dr. Fritsch by my ENT Dr. after he diagnosed me as having a Glomus jugulare tumor detected by CAT Scan and MRI. He said my tumor is very rare and the surgery would be a very big one and he wasnt the Doctor to treat it. He said that Dr. Fritsch was skilled in treating Glomus Jugulare. After examining my Scans Doctor Fritsch advised me that surgery would be way to risky and he recommended radiation. He did a biopsy through my ear and did remove a small part of the tumor to quiet one of my symptoms until I begin Radiation therapy. During surgery he cut the back of my right ear top to bottom and to get to what he needed to to. He stitched my ear up so neatly my husband says when theyre gone he doesnt think anyone will be able to tell. Dr. sent me home with good pain management and antibiotics. This was on March 19th 2019 and Im healing nicely 10 days later. I see him on April 17th and am looking forward to the visit to find out when he thinks Im ready for radiation therapy. Dr. Fritsch bedside manner was great, he explained everything to me and my husband and even had a sense of humor!! Hes an excellent Doctor and I highly recommend him. Im glad that he was honest about the riskiness of a big surgery. Another Doctor may have done it anyway.
Dr Fritsch is worthy of his international acclaim in Otology in every way. He has monitored and managed to minimize further hearing loss following my successful diagnosis and middle ear surgery since 1996. He also saved my life in March 2018 when he responded within an hour of a phone call to his answer service on a Saturday morning in reply to an inquiry about dizziness I continued to have while following a hike on vacation in Florida. I went to our family doctor on Saturday immediately after return for treatment of vertigo and then called Dr Fritsch to get his counsel. He replied vertigo is a symptom of a possible minor stroke and advised to get to he hospital emergency room. Within minutes of entering the hospital, I was admitted as a stroke patient and spent the next week in the heart ward followed by two months of outpatient rehab at Community North. Subsequent follow ups have enabled recovery with only minor dizziness, balance effects. Dr. Fritsch is a firm believer and promoter of early detection and treatment to minimize and treat the diagnosis. I am thankful for his prompt and timely advice, recommendation, and continued follow up. His entire staff and he are Five Stars Plus and deserve high commendation and appreciation for his timely and professional care.
Another doctor (Ben Copeland) had done surgery on my ear 4 years ago and made me lose the hearing in my right ear. The post surgery recovery was very difficult. I was referred to Michael Fritsch by another ENT. Dr Fritsch had me do a hearing test and CT scan to confirm his diagnosis. He was able to do surgery to fix my hearing. My recovery from the surgery was so much easier. Dr Fritsch is a great doctor.
GET A SECOND OPINION!!!!! Dr. Fritsch completely misdiagnosed my condition. They had scheduled the surgery for it and everything. Due, luckily, to an insurance problem, I was referred to a different ENT who diagnosed me correctly, backed by an MRI, and now have the correct surgery scheduled. Dr. Fritsch was going to cut my ear open from the base of the earlobe to the top, leaving me with a huge scar and who knows what kind of complications. Get a second opinion. Demand more tests. Question everything. Research.
His billing department has poor communication. they have submitted my insurance claim incorrectly and do not respond to voicemails or emails to assist in this issue. Do not do business with this doctors office.I agree also with other comments regarding bedside manner. He has little, if any, and for that reason left me feeling a lack of confidence in his ability to do the surgery well.To travel to Indianapolis was a 2 hour drive for me, to wait for an hour past our scheduled appt time, before he kept our appointment, for expertise that I refuse to let operate on my ear. Poor execution and service all around, from the top down.
I had a vestibular schwannoma acoustic neuroma brain tumor. I sought opinions from other otolaryngologist and neurosurgeons. After meeting Dr Fritsch one time? He restored my faith and confidence in proceeding forward with surgery. Scheduled March 16, 2017 I am optimistic and I thought his staff was super nice.Hes a surgeon who knows what hes doing. I have a lot of faith in him.7 months post operation and having the surgery was the best decision I could have made. No facial paralysis. They removed 100% of the tumor and I no longer have a brain tumor! Along with Dr Troy Payner Neurosurgeon- Dr Fritsch gave me my life back! I am 56 years old and I have my balance/ life. Yes, because of the tumor it destroyed my cochlea so therefore I will always be SSD left ear. But no more wait and watch or gamma knife radiation (which I was worried about long term effects) I’m free. Thanks Dr Fritsch! I think Dr Fritsch is all business and no bs. He knows his stuff! His staff is super nice too. Although Dr Fritsch is not a touchy feely doctor he did let me give him a hug :) to show my appreciation for everything he did for me. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Great doc and office staff.
Excellent, Dr. Fritsch was able to clear up my ear infection without the need for any surgery. Over the years Ive had multiple ear problems, and numerous surgeries. Dr. Fritsch is the only doctor that Ive gone to that actually fixed the problem. Obviously, he knows more about ears than any of my previous ear doctors.
Very pleased with Dr. Fritsch and his staff. Before appointments I prepared lots of questions, and Dr. Fritsch answered them thoroughly. I also called with additional questions about medications before my surgery and the nurses were always helpful. Best of all, I have regained quite a bit of hearing due to my successful stapedectomy. I highly recommend Dr. Fritsch and am glad I had this procedure--a very delicate surgery replacing the smallest bone in the body with a wire prosthesis. I waited 26 years because of concerns about possible complications. I had no complications and little discomfort.Dr. Fritsch is skillful and knowledgable.
Best dr ever. My hearing came back after SHL.!!!!
