This place did have some pretty cool stuff. As a reluctant tag along, it wasn’t a bad place to stop after breakfast at Bluebird.

My boyfriend and I fell in love with this town. I really wish we had more time here on our cross country trip. Artifacts is pretty cool and manned by people our age 20s/30s. The store is pretty big, prices unbeatable. They carry tons of stuff- jewelry, rugs, art, frames, lamps, furniture, clothing. Not sure what their rotation is like since I’m not from here. We ended up buying a 50s telephone for 20$. They’re usually priced in the 45-65$ range nowdays. I convinced him to just go for it because he would regret it if he passed it up for that price. Cute branded reusable totes too!

Never know what u will find at this recently expanded store. More more for fun stuff.

This place is my sanctuary, my happy place, and my go to for most antiquing. Todd, Steve and Margaret are also a main reason for shopping there, so friendly and informative. If you visit Iowa City, a stop at Artifacts is a MUST!!!!

This is a really cool spot in Iowa City. Wether you live here or are just here for a visit, it’s a must see. Really interesting items at a variety of price points. I could spend all day here diving into every corner. The staff is friendly, inclusive and knowledgeable about their items. Please support businesses like this one!

Dont know allot about the place but it looks like it has allot of antique pieces that have a history behind them hence the name Artifacts. Good for the person not into modern furniture and or other supplies.

If I could give more than 5 stars to Artifacts, my family wouldn’t hesitate. We met Todd in early February, 2020, after our father suddenly passed away. He was a collector of albums, DVDs, CDs, art and musical instruments and had a 5 bedroom house full of these belongings. All his children live out of Iowa. Many people in the Iowa City community verbally referred us to Artifacts to assist in having an estate sale, and we couldn’t be more relieved to have had this reference.Todd was personable and sympathetic, and professional We giggled about my father’s original art displays and he appreciated all aspects of our father’s belongings. He encouraged us to tell him stories of the various belongings. This obviously assisted him and his team in figuring out the pricing scheme, but he was genuinely interested in hearing the tales.We were very fortunate to have scheduled the sale for the first weekend after the Coronavirus shut-down. Artifacts did all the organizing, pricing, selling, advertising - EVERYTHING! They ensured only 7 people were allowed on each floor at a time and no one was allowed entry without a mask. Even with torrential rains all morning and a tornado warning in the middle of the sale’s first day, the event went twice better than any of us expected. Artifacts assisted us after the sale and currently has many of our father’s belongings on consignment. After they left I seriously had only one load to the dump and 2 to charity.We have no idea how we would have been able to do what Artifacts did for us. Their pricing is very fair, their staff is very friendly, and we cannot think of a thing they can do to improve.

Loads of fun and interesting things. Good prices. Great mix of collectibles. Be prepared to spend time there. Check out the new expanded space, wonderful surprises!

Incredible shop! My husband and I visited here from Chicago and WOW we loved it, also the staff are angels!!! Highly recommend, fine antiques jewelry and vintage clothes.

What I purchased was very over priced. And was not very genuine.Thought I was getting a good deal turns out to be fake.

We brought in a beautiful, vintage leather jacket for resale. When we returned and didn t see the jacket on the rack we inquired about its sale. The owner could not locate proof of sale, shrugged his shoulders, and didnt act very concerned. The jacket was gone! He didnt apologize or offer compensation.

This little antique shop has old Toys, records, pictures, statues, comics, jewelry, and much more! Prices are average for old stuff. Nice workers and stuff!

LOVED the incredible seri vice and HUGE selection they had in pretty much everything you could think off. I purchased a jade ring and a beautiful opera length blush pink pearl necklace for only $47! The staff are super friendly and go out of their way to help me find something great. Highly recommend stopping in if you get a chance!

Pricey and small location will little variety to purchase

This place is scary! Took my 80-year-old Mom and spent the entire visit terrified she would fall and break a hip. The whole musty-dusty place is crammed floor to ceiling with unorganized stuff. Can’t believe this place is actually in compliance with fire and building codes! Not sure why anyone would risk their life to shop here when there are more than a few lovely, clean and spacious antique stores (Pink Begonia, English River, Sister’s Garden) just down the road in Kalona.

Kind, attentive staff; interesting selection of merchandise and, well, artifacts; and very reasonable prices. I always find something unique and unexpected when I visit – and, because its tucked near some other terrific local businesses (High Ground, Oasis, Bluebird, Banditos, etc), its a perfect stop after lunch or on your walk around downtown.

A prime spot for antique shopping. Some prices are way too high, but you definitely can find literally everything.

It is a good place, a little disorganized, but a great place where you can find incredibley old, cool, and valuable artifacts. I love to go here also because it has good service, and things you wouldnt imagine finding!!!
