Great selection of fabrics. Staff has always been friendly and helpful even when the store is packed. Always willing to help me find a fabric, and alternatives, when I dont entirely know what I need (content/material) but have a decent description of feel/colour/shine.

Great place to get fabric or craft supplies.not as big a selection compared to hobby only or art stores but i usually find what im looking for.I always find staff a little awkward but i think im not there usual demographic customer.

Really helpful, clean store with enough employees that when you ask for help finding anything, they will take you to it.I was looking for plastic holiday flowers for my moms grave, she passed away June 20th this year, and as hard as it was for me, the lady understood what I was looking for and was so nice in not only taking me to the flowers, but told me which ones were how much off on sale, Her sympathy for my loss of my mom made me feel a bit better that I was getting her flowers at that store.Very much worth stopping by there to shop if you happen to be around Iowa City. Sad there is not many stores with that kind of service left in America.I wish them all a very, Merry Christmas if they happen to see this and brings many new customers in the New Year.

Staff was extremely helpful. They went above and beyond to help me find what I needed, and help me to match appropriate sizes and colors. They helped me to shop within my budget as well. My blanket turned out great in the end.

Not too pleased with the service. I was walking around looking lost - not a soul stopped me and asked if I needed help (there were 3 employees that were in or near the area I was walking through). I eventually found what I was looking for. I do like they told me the total before cutting my fabric - because one of the reams was mis-placed on a rack that was discounted. There were more reams of the material. When I questioned it, I was asked to show the employee where I got it, so I walked her to the end cap. She said she would have to speak to her manager. Her manager apparently said were sorry for any inconvenience, but the fabric was placed on the end cap by mistake and we are not able to overwrite it. After I told them I didnt want it (it was about a 10 dollar price difference per yard), they went and put it back in the same spot and didnt move the other fabric. Not too happy!When they were located off of Riverside Dr. the employees I always dealt with when I went in were always pleasant and took customer concerns and customer service seriously. Im not sure if ownership (and management) changed with the move - but Im not too terribly fond of this new crew.

JOANN Fabrics always has great prices and almost always has a coupon for major savings. The staff is friendly and eager to help. As a father of three girls that love to craft I never dread going to JOANN Fabrics.

They have everything and quality is generally high. Kind of hard to find things. It can be hard to get attention of staff. Dislike ordering online.

I called ahead to see if they had a particular item in store. The gentleman who answered was very polite, ran back and checked and when we arrived we were happily greeted, found our item and quickly checked out with their able clerk who also helped us navigate the coupon app!

This is my favorite craft store in town. Fabric and patterns are always on sale or there are coupons available. You can get just about anything you need for paper, paint, or textile projects, jewelery making supplies are also at hand. Good quality and a good price.

Focus seems to be on quilting, home decor and crafting. Pretty good selection of notions, etc. I often find it difficult to find any fabrics that appeal to me for making garments.

I just got into making cards and the paper craft section is wonderful. Most of the people that work at the store are very helpful and friendly. I love the new stores design. Great location and parking.

Bought a frame here and didnt realize it was broke until we started removing the card board on the corners. Took it back to the store and was ignored by the cashier not helping anyone for a good 2 minutes. It was the same woman who rang me up the day before. She finally got logged in to the register to help me and I said hi, I bought this here yesterday and didnt realize it was broken until I started taking the packaging off. I would like to exchange it. The woman began returning it then asked me to insert my card. I said ok, am I still going to be able to get the 50% off when I get the new one? And she responded in a snotty way ugh you didnt tell me you wanted to exchange it. But I did. I didnt argue, just remained polite. I got the new frame and returned to the register, she rang the item up and said rudely, do you want it wrapped this time? Since the day before I carried it out. I didnt point out that having it wrapped or not wouldnt change that it was broken. Got it home and went to hang it and it literally broke. Theres probably no reason for me to return. Though it is a nice facility.

Really nice new facility! The customer service today could have been better. Lots of customers with several coupons. Staff seemed upset with the amount of coupons people were using or it could have been that some of the coupons werent working and customers were getting upset. Not sure. The guy helping me managed to keep the coupon the prints off with the receipt instead of giving it to me. Odd... Wont stop me from going back surely.

Yes love this place even though they dont have all the gimp strings that you can make key chains with it has other good stuff to make stuff with and the prices of the stuff they have is great I rather go here than Michaels because the bus doesnt go out to Michaels
