This a lovingly curated locally owned candy store with a great selection of specialty candy, vintage treats, and unique sweets! They sell both candy by the pound and packaged candy! Went in on March 24th, empty boxes and shelves everywhere. I was shopping for Easter. The boxes on the floor were full but not displayed. The gentleman at the counter couldnt find a bag to put 100.00 worth of candy in. It was a mess and a shame. I have shopped here for over 20 plus years and always support my local businesses, especially women in business. Maybe Easter isnt important to this small business, but what Holiday is?

Ive been going here since 1986, when I was six years old. Old fashion candy shop. Please support them, they are a dying breed.

All of the staff here are really nice, especially Monique’s daughter, Kiera Reign Holtkamp. My favorite candies here are the crybaby wax bottles, sea salt caramels, and mini gummy bears. 10/10 would recommend!

Great candy shop! Wonderful fudge and other chocolate! Plus a nice selection of Jelly Belly jelly beans. Old fashioned and hard to find candies plus treats from around the world too. They are located inside Old Capitol Town Center next to Soeul Grill and if you park in the parking garage attached to Old Capitol Town Center your first hour of parking is free!

An Iowa City staple for decades, Sweets and Treats still makes me giddy to walk into. The owner is a lovely human and this is by far the best place to take kids for a special treat, find one-of-a-kind confections, and satiate your sweet tooth. Delicious!

My fav fav fav candy store. THE best dark chocolate covered almonds. I can always always find a treat to make life so much better. And if they dont have it, tell them and they will at least consider ordering it.

The last time, I wanted to purchase some liquid chocolates. The price of one chocolate is 1.03 dollars. I purchased three of them. The total amount should be 3.27 dollars. The staffs just did not give me my receipt. When I step out the store, I check my message from my bank. It charged my 5.09 dollars. That Asian staff at here is really rude!!
