Wonderful place! I went and got my car audio subwoofers installed and things came out flawless. Andy does quick work and is very knowledgeable about audio equipment. Came in just for a price quote on some caution lights for my vehicle and got on the topic of remote start. The prices installed are second to none in the area with a very quick turn around. The workers here are Knowledgeable and friendly. They didn’t try to sell me something I didn’t need. The remote start system I went with isn’t the most expensive by any means but it suited my needs and I felt no pressure to buy anything more than that. Great experience all around. Very nice and clean shop. I purchased a few items then I pretended to be a novice to see if I would get taken advantage of before I asked about a bigger job I wanted later on. I asked about expensive items most places would try to sell you on and they offered a cheaper and better alternative that I already had in mind. I purchased a new Jeep and put on wide tires. That left me wanting to extend the fenders. I found some fender extenders and emailed Hawkeye asking if they could install them. Promptly, I got a return email letting me know they could install them expecting three-four hours of install time. I dropped my Jeep off at 1 pm on a Saturday and got a call a few hours later from Andy who wanted me to look at the first fender because he wanted to make sure I was satisfied with the look. I shot over and gave him green light to proceed. Another six hours later, after 9 pm on a Saturday, Andy called to say it was ready for pick up. When I got there, Andy pointed out where he was not satisfied with how the extender conformed to the factory fender. How rare is that a business points out the negative?Frankly, I think the install looks fine. He also took the time to paint the screws to blend in with the Jeep’s color. Despite it taking significantly longer than he expected, he honored the install price quote and then followed up with an email to say that if I feel they need any future adjustment, he would do so at no charge. I moved here a year ago from a big city in Texas. Andy represents what I love about Iowa.Hawkeye Auto is a reputable, fair, and honest repair shop. Thanks Andy, I am glad I put my new car in your hands.

I pretty much ripped the shark fin shaped antenna on my Subaru Forester off the roof. Seemed like it should be hard to do, since it is only a little taller than the roof rails, but I guess I’m just gifted or something. At Hawkeye they found me a new antenna, installed it, and also checked in with an auto body shop nearby about damage to the roof. Quality work at a reasonable price. I was really impressed, and would definitely return.

I took in my Honda Fit a couple weeks ago to get my subwoofers installed to my factory stereo. I dropped my car off & let them work on it, they called me before they did certain things on it. They offered options that would make it sound better they didnt persist on me purchasing things I didnt want. The car has a reverse camera and everything works just as well as when I took it in. I was impressed with the quality of work that was done. No wires hanging out, price was fair, and it sounds great! I drove from Waterloo to get this job done & I will definitely come back again (I will NOT go to Farris stereo in waterloo), hopefully this year Ill bring in my Mustang to get the stereo system redone. Good job guys, keep up the great work!

Ive had Andy work on two different car. He is always very friendly and knowledgeable about what is needed. Ive had him remove a device from my 2000 Chevy Malibu and he informed me that is was installed incorrectly. So he contacted the place I had it installed and informed them. Ive also had him install rain guards on all of the windows on my 2018 Chevy Cruze. I will be having him do the install of a remote start here in a couple weeks as well. It is about that time of year people should be thinking about installing those. Long story short Andy has always been pleasant and seems to be busy all the time but that doesnt make him less efficient. He does care for the customer and I think thats great! I look forward to having him do more work on my car in the future.

I had a remote start and a truck bed cover installed. They did an excellent job with the installation. I was pretty impressed with how fast the job was done and with the quality of work. Andy helped me out with a leveling kit on my Ram, he installed it, took it to have the alignment done for me, and then charged me one overall price for alignment and installation making it a very painless process vs having to make 2 separate appts, very happy with the work done and it was very affordable.
