I moved to University Park in 1966 before the shopping center was built, and we are so fortunate to have always had our own hardware store here. I was grateful when Ace came in, so we would never be without one. They have always functioned like a good neighborhood store, not a big chain. They have an excellent selection, and the staff is always personable and helpful. Its such a welcome atmosphere compared to going to a big box store that I always try them first. Where else will someone give you that personal help in picking out 11 cents worth of washers or screws!

Great place to go for those oddball screws/nuts you might need (even if its just 1). I go here when I dont want to go to the big box hardware stores. I just learned they have propane tank exchange. Very convenient!

I always turn to the staff at this Crown Ace Hardware on Culver because they are so helpful and polite and knowledgeable about products and solutions to problems around the home. There are two managers:. Allen and Derrick. They are both Fantastic. Today I was having trouble with a product ( a defective spray solution) that I had purchased last year but only used half of it. It began to leak and wouldnt spray. So I took it back to the store and they replaced it, with a smile. This is how they reward loyal good customers. I love this store.

This store is very tiny and not a lot of selection. The saving grace to this store is the staff is super friendly and very helpful. If you need a lot of variety then dont come here. If you need knowledgeable advice and patience then this is your store. I personally prefer this store to Osh, Home Depot and Lowes. The staff makes the store amazing!

Super friendly staff. The girl (I didnt get her name, but she looks to be in her mid twenties and said shes been with ace hardware for a long time now) did an amazing job making two new keys for my truck today. The dealership wanted $50 just to cut the key, and then another $200-some to program it to my vehicle. Plus they said it would take close to a week to get the key in my hands. Im glad I went to ace hardware, however, because the girl that helped me today was not only very knowledgeable about keys, but she was real quick to cut and program BOTH keys and on point and very precise from start to finish. She answered all questions I had right away, without any hesitations, and her answers checked out to be on point once cross referenced. All together she made my visit at ace today awesome, and left me with nothing but positive thoughts, definitely THE model for how a customers shopping experience should be. I definitely didnt mind the fact that she was pretty either, and could keep a conversation =]] thanks ace hardware for hiring this A+ girl that helped me today, I will most definitely be coming back without a question, and would recommend this store without a doubt!!

Great customer service and got the essentials

I rarely review places. I purchased lots of item from Ace, from bulbs to rice cooker. Last night I got an extension cord that is not working. We opened it in the shop to see how long it was and we left the package there and they didn’t give us the receipt either. They were at closing time rush rush... Today I went back and Mr. Alan, the supervisor, I guess was so rude. So rude that he raised his voice at me and was so appalled that I don’t have a package... Well, I didn’t expect it wouldn’t work. Anyway... I got so upset, I’ve left the extension cord there and told him, it wasn’t about the money, it was about the inconvenience! The purchase can be verified on my loyalty card! Never going there again!

If youre in a hurry and cost is no object this is ok.Some days are better than others when seeking employee assistance but its never bad

Lovely staff that is eager and ready to help you find anything you are looking for. Ace is a smaller hardware store so dont expect them to carry everything, but they carry all of the essentials and your trips shouldnt take long at all.

Complete waste of time. This ace store advertises itself as a Benjamin Moore dealer. Spent 20 minutes driving to this store to get a gallon of a standard color/product. What I found was a completely clueless set of employees and mangers. The zit faced child manager told me they didnt know how to mix the particular paint and made up something about we dont sell much of that and he thought they were discontinuing it (not true). After about 5 minutes I just gave up and walked out. Brands like Benjamin Moore spend a fortune setting up these rinky dink hardware stores with expensive setups/matching and displays and these yahoos are telling their customers that the products are discontinued. I contacted Benjamin Moore corporate to let them know that they are being undermined by this particular dealer. In any case. Wont go back to this or any ACE again... Im not fond of HD or Lowes, but at least they have a clue.
