This place is awesome! The people I have come across are very knowledgeable, well trained, thoughtful, and went out of their way to help me. Neil, Shawn, Mason, and every other associate who helped me over the last few days providing the skates and accessories and knowledge and help I requested have all been stellar. Their hard work and pride in what they do is really remarkable. Its a true testament to the reason I prefer buying in store over ordering online. They help me along the journey and their training on product knowledge was impeccable. The associates make it worth the drive. This is also a testament to their Store Manager aka team coach with the success of their performance. Without knowing all the minutia, he has to be a huge contributing factor of the performance of this staff. This business is blessed to have such a stellar team in this location. I hope their profits reflect their efforts and Im certain the gentleman who have helped me all deserve a raise.

This place is cool. I like to just go there and just look around sometimes if youre a hockey player Id go there before anywhere else. Also they have a good selection of aluminum bats, wood bats and Gloves (baseball&softball).Also they uniforms and team gear.

The people were very nice and helpful! The store was clean and organized so it was easy to shop. The only thing I was disappointed with was the lack of selection for womens lacrosse gear. You had two and half shelves for girls lacrosse gear. The boys there was 7 to 10 shelves for them. There was very little gear in general for womens sports. The was no cleats for womens only a couple for what the called unisex cleats which means mens cleats. I guess it ok if they had any but nope. I guessing its due to shipping delays. If you are a boy then this would be a great place to get gear. But if you are a woman then I guess its Amazon we go...

This place is amazing! Literally everyone from the cashiers to the back of the house is on point.I went in to get some gear today and the staff was 100% ready. First, I went to find some goalie pads and Tyler helped me try on multiple chest protectors and goalie pants. He fitted me and gave me his personal advice on every brand. Hes a goalie which made the experience that much better. Great attitude and super knowledgeable.Second, I went to find some ice skates and met Naomi. What a treat. She had me step on a 3d machine that constructed a digital image of my feet to find out which brand of skates would be best for me. Shes so kind and wonderful to talk to. She had so much to say about skates, comfort, and little details that you wouldnt think someone would know about skates. Seriously, such a sweet girl.On top of these people being professional and attentive they were also hockey players which makes this place that much more legit. This is my second time coming here and both times I purchased goods. Thank you MonkeySports!

This place is amazing! Came here to buy my kid some skates and the staff was so helpful. Miguel, helped us and was very patient with both us as parents knowing nothing about hockey equipment or and our son who is a little on the quiet side. He explained what he thought would be best and gave us lots of options. I would recommend this place to any person who is looking for hockey or baseball gear. They have everything! We will be going back.

Love this place! Staff is great and tons of selection. Need to try a bat or hockey stick out? They have both a net with indoor floor tiles and a batting cage right next to it.They focus on hockey, baseball, and lacrosse. The staff that I’ve talked actually know what they’re talking about (Play the sport they’re assisting with) which is a major plus!Don’t forget the clearance items as you’re about to walk out the door, some great deals!

Awesome customer service. I bought a pair of ice skates there and they did the full fitting and scan. The associate was very patient and let me try on a lot of skates to find the right one for me. Did the full True baking and fitting and Im super happy with the experience. They even baked and fitted my True inline skates, which they do not carry. Highly recommend. Store is absolutely gorgeous queen; wide open spaces selection for everything sports related for the professional athlete. Would’ve given it five stars however their exchange policy doesn’t allow for Christmas shopping right now! Their return policy only allows 30 days to make any exchanges. Makes it difficult for those who don’t enjoy shopping online right before the holiday in the mad rush and stressful mess. It’s hard to make everyone happy on Christmas and what good is a glove that doesn’t fit your hand and you can not exchange it because of time restraints.

They also carry sports apparel. They also offer skate sharpening and skate repair.If they dont have an item in stock they will order it and have it shipped to you at no additional cost.The customer service is better than most. I had some items missing on gear that was shipped to me. One 5 minute phone call and the missing pieces were shipped out that day.

Awesome store with lots of Baseball/Softball, Hockey, and Lacrosse equipment. They have an indoor cage for trying out bats and lacrosse sticks. Also a little mini hockey cage for trying hockey sticks as well. This is a well known store with lots of pictures to help describe in more detail.

Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Pretty much always find what I need. Skate services are good - Ive heard the complaints but Ive been getting skates sharpened here 5+ years and never had a bad edge.

We took our kids here to get there ice hockey gear. This will be our families first time playing hockey. With that being said we had no idea what we were doing. The staff were tremendously helpful in explaining everything. I left with new knowledge of Hockey and with the recommendation for everyone to go here first to get started. It was a great and wonderful experience. Strongly recommend!

I generally have success when I make the trip to Monkey sports. This trip - they are out of the sizes I need in multiple baseball items. At the start of baseball season...was it a surprise?

I just began playing hockey and bought my skates and most of my gear from monkeysports. The prices are competitive to the market and seem fair. The sales staff is very friendly and enthusiastic about getting you all set. But if you don’t get their attention right away you may find yourself waiting 30+ minutes for help. I’ve have a couple recent negative experiences explaining the 2-star review. First, they said they’d put on a clear face mask to my helmet, which they did but put it on upside down. Fortunately someone at the rink had the tools I needed to redo it properly. Second, the sales staff said my skates were good to go upon leaving the store. After my first game I found out they never sharpened the skates. I’m new to the sport and I’m inexperienced, so I trusted what they said and that they knew what they were doing. After learning the hard way (I’ve got the bruises to prove it), I’ve been able to see what they failed to tell me and what I need to keep an eye on for my equipment from here on out. It’s still the closest hockey retailer to me currently but I would just do my research on every last thing you need before you get on the ice rather than just go by what they’re saying.

Great store with really helpful staff and competitive prices. One of my kids is a JR size hockey goalie. Gear fit and feel is so important in that position and Hockey Monkey has all the major brands and sizes in stock to try on. The staff stationed in different areas typically play the sport of the area they are staffing and has first hand knowledge of the equipment and can help find gear that suits your style or size.

If you play hockey or lacrosse this is your go to store for gear. Great deals and helpful staff. Skate sharpening and sizing as well as many different styles and brands of gear. If they dont have what you need they can order it.

Shawn did a fantastic job custom mounting blades and holders to my sons Graf skates. The screw holes didnt line up so he drilled and riveted the boots and threw in a free sharpening, all rushed in record time. They look and work great! All for very reasonable price. Thank you Shawn!

This is a wonderful place to pick up most any sports equipment and supplies. They have all kinds of baseball equipment which is nice because we can usually get our shopping done here without having to go anywhere else. Walked in wanting to splash out on new blades, ended up walking out. 3 people up front, all stopped their conversation to stare at me as I walked in, no greeting, then just turned back to continue their convo. Spent a good few minutes looking at their blades, even found the ones I was looking at online, but alas, nobody asked if they could help me and I didn’t see anyone around, so I ended up not trying or buying. Manager, have a word with your team about customer service...it’s a nicely stocked, beautiful store in a great location, but it looks like I’m not alone in my opinion and that will most certainly affect business.

The night we went, there were about 6 employees there. All of them were up at the front talking when we came in. There were other people in store also. Only one guy was helping people. All 5 other guys stood up front talking and not making any effort to help. One was actually someone in charge, as the guy who was helping us kept asking him questions. I even said in front of all of them Dude it looks like they want you to do it all tonight. They all laughed and thought it was funny. The woman that came in were on there own finding stuff. We noticed every guy that came in, got a greeting from one of the stand around guys They pretty much ignored the woman. You DONT get the feeling of Welcome.. Spend your money here!!

Came here to get fitted for my Daryl Evans clinic. The guy helping me (forgot his name) knew I was a beginner and didnt talk down to me. He showed how to wear all the gear properly and spent almost an hour with me. I now drive here from La Habra whenever I need anything. Its worth the drive.

Excellent customer service. We dont know what to buy ice hockey gears for our kid. They have an employee go with us to help my boy pick out the gear. Its took more than an hour for him go back and forth to get everything that fit for my boy, kudo for that employee. Would do business with them again.

Since my son began baseball several years ago, Ive purchased his equipment from this store. Staff is very helpful. But recently purchased a baseball bat that has a defect and was told that I had to deal with the manufacturer directly. I called DICKs Sporting Goods to inquire as to their policy and was told that if purchased in the first 60 days they will handle the warranty matter for you. Wish MonkeySports would do the same.

This is going to sound contrived but so be it... Dave Reskey, the manager and captain of the SS MonkeySports Irvine and his crew are great. Its gotta be a tough business to have many customers only shopping the fit and going eventually buying the item online. His team weathers it all and follow through with great customer service and product and sport IQ. The store is well stocked and laid out well.

Cant say Im really fond of this place. Walk in to the ice hockey side and dont be surprised that 9 times out of 10 whoever you ask questions hasnt ever played hockey and will tell you well, Ive heard other people say.... Ive experienced this a few times, but the latest incident compelled me to finally write about it. Fortunately we have other choices so I find myself going out of my way to a competing shop up the freeway.

Best local lacrosse retailer in the area. If they do not have what you want on the shelf, they can order just about anything from their Texas warehouse and have it delivered direct to your home for the same internet prices. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful.

Recently joined a beginner roller hockey league. I had no idea what I needed and was wandering around the storm aimlessly until I was helped out by one of the customer service reps, Johnathan. He was super patient with me and showed me multiple options to fit my needs. He explained all the nuances with the different equipment and didnt try to unnecessarily up-sell me on stuff I didnt need yet as a beginner. I was able to leave the store fully equipped for the league and even got to try the gear out that night since the nearby rink had open stick time. Everything worked great! They have a strange policy of security tagging my skates after sharpening, like I’m going to steal a skate sharpening! I spend so much money in this store the lack of trust seems mildly offensive.Otherwise a great store with helpful staff

Its a new store, and very close to the related Goalie Monkey. However, I was hoping for something that didnt feel like every large sporting goods store. The only difference between this store and most any other large sporting goods store was that they didnt carry running or weightlifting equipment. I was hoping I would find something that catered to the local sporting community (local school equipment, for instance, or referee equipment) more.

THE customer service there is awesome. We had many questions regarding sports equipment for LACROSSE. The rep. Was very knowledgeable about the sport personally. He was more than helpful, he even adjusted my son^s lacrosse catching web and how to do it himself. We bought tbe gloves there and gave us good tips. Ofcourse we are going back, they go out of there way to meet your needs.
