This place is a hole in a wall mom and pop shop. Food is 10/10 comes out with great authentic flavor! Price and portion are reasonable, great bang for your buck. Below was the fried fish super crispy and delicious. Papaya salad (got it spicy πΆ) has a really great kick. Pork laab first time trying this dish and it was phenomenal, seasoned perfectly with lime juice cilantro and Thai spices! Will definitely be coming back.
We knew it was gonna be the best as soon as we saw the grandma was gonna be cooking. And everything was amazingly great! Thank you for making great food for us!
This is a hole in the wall type of food! I love it. I just wish there was a better sign for the place. Market selection is small but the food is delicious! I ordered to go and plated my own dishes. The papaya salad had a little bit too much sauce but I love the flavor with pa dek. The dine in uses plastic plates and plastic forks. Itβs not fine-dining but the food is legit and reminds me of home.
Love the food. Never been to this place before. Just so happen when I was searching for Thai food, this place popped up in my search. As one of the reviews said, dont let the exterior of the place frighten you away. The food is awesome. Just be patient with the ladies. There are only 3 of them, and only 1 speaks English. I definitely will be back again for more Thai and Lao food.
Typically I would cook my own Laotian dishes because the flavors are stronger and much spicier than our neighbors in Thailand. If you visit a Thai/Lao establishment in DFW youll likely get the Thai-American version. Not at Nalinh Market. Its all authentic. All the spices. All the flavors. Chef Nikki and her team know what theyre doing. If you want a taste of Laos/Thailand youve come to the right place.
My pad thai was soooo spicy! They already put the chilli to the side and I took out as much as I could from my plate, but whatever got left behind was enough to burn my mouth haha. Overall food is good! The owner cooks each time guests order, which is a huge plus so you know its fresh and not microwaved. Food is authentic. The food shop lies inside a grocery store. I like the food but I would go somewhere else for grocery unless you just need something really quickly. The grocery stuff looks old. Some of the bags of flour have a lot of dust on them. Again, drive 10 mins out and you are in Arlington with amazing Asian supermarkets.
Affordable and fresh but most of all it is so delicious with generous amounts. One time had me for life. π
4 stars for the amazing and authentic food. Took out 1 star because of the rude front desk lady.
The food is tasty but the portions are very small. You will spend a lot of money here to get full. This is based off delivery orders. I paid extra for the pork and crispy pork belly in the krapow and itβs still a small portion! Imagine I didnβt!! I wouldnβt have anything to eat. Thatβs $12-$13 down the drain. The Padek large jaws sauce is literally 5 small sweet and sour to go cups. The Aom Kai and Gaang Nai Mai comes in the little size of hot and sour soup containers. They are only 3/4 of the way full of that. The papaya, vermicelli noodles, green bean salad was an ok size but definitely not authentic Lao. Can barely taste any fermented fish.Overall, I call this the stingy small portion high priced restaurant. Itβs a 7 out of 10.
Been coming for year and it just keeps getting better
Their laarp is lit. I also appreciate their no-frills vibe. Every time I go there I remember being in Laos. β€οΈ
I have been a patron of Nalinh Market for awhile. The food has always been great, but today I got such a sparse amount of Panang Guy, Iβll be going to another establishment. Itβs farther away but the food is every bit as good and the portion is at least 1/3 more for less money. This is truly disappointing.
This is a gem. Non descript hideout that is a smart Asian grocery store but also has a dining area that serves some of the best homemade laotian food.
Its not often I would rate a meal 10/10 but my experience at Nalinh Market was superb. We got four plates across a table of three hungry people and dug in. The crispy pork salad was refreshing and light, the panag curry proved a great rendition on a classic and the beef larb provided a flavor vacation Ive never experienced before. The service is hands off, but friendly, with a table allowing you to self serve rice, either sticky or white, and grab your own utensils and to go boxes.Overall I will do everything in my power to come back here next time my travels bring me to Dallas.
Great food, the smells will make u drool...not much on decor but great food.
Great food, and I am Mexicanoπππππ
This place is small and a hole in the wall but man their food is outstanding. Ingredients are fresh! Definitely recommend!
I asked for extra spicy and was not disappointed!!! I dont have high expectations for spice when I eat out, but this restaurant did so well to our taste buds. Ordered the pad khee mao, pad thai, and red and green curriez. Loved them all, especially the pad khee mao for its spice. Will definitely be back to support a local, family-owned business. Reasonable prices, too, for the amount of food we got.
Love love love this authentic Laos restaurant. Amazing food, amazing chefs, Chef Nikki invites you to become part of the family. One of a kind experience
Love this place, I always come in for some goodies. The owner who is a lady is always so accommodating and I appreciate her always helping me with tofu questions I have and letting me know dishes I can make and seasonings that are amazing.
I eat here all the time. The food is delicious π
Amazing food the owner is so awesome!
Good food. Obviously hole in wall and everything that comes with it. If you have issues, its probably you. Also they have my favorite green worm coconut sugar dessert here in the biggest package. So awesome.
This is a great little spot for amazing and authentic Thai and Lao food. Can get busy around lunch time so be prepare to wait for a seat or wait for food. Prices are good, friendly staff and very clean.I recommend the papaya salad, its delicious! If you are in a rush I recommend calling a head and pick up. They also are offering Door Dash for a delivery service.
Love this hole-in-the-wall joint! The food here is fantastic. Just a heads up, if you eat spicy and get your food level with spicy, it actually comes out spicy. None of this American food spicy where you have to ask for hot sauce to fill in for the definition of spicy. Regardless, the food was delish! Will most likely come back to try other dishes!
I will start by saying that my food was pretty delicious. I would say that it rivals my favorite Thai restaurant which is in Arlington. Ingredients seemed fresh and all came together into a tasty dish. The reason I am giving 4 stars however is because despite all of the reviews I have seen to the contrary, the service is not top notch. I see others saying they were treated like family, or that they were super nice, etc. That was not my experience. I have been in twice, and both times I felt as though I was an intruder who they were trying to rush out. Even with there only being one table occupied by other patrons while I was there. I love that they have a little market that I can buy things from while waiting for my food, but unfortunately some of the items were expired. Some expired over a year. That isnt as off-putting, frankly, as the unfriendliness I encountered during my 2 visits. I would not go out of my way to return, based on that. However, I did base my review on the food itself mostly, so if you dont care about friendly service, or your standards for that are incredibly low, then give them a try! Food is yummy for sure!
Good place to get lao food. π¦
Great thai tea!! Food isss lip smacking good!!! JUST GOOO!
This is a super cool place. Just the atmosphere is worth a trip. The food is great very authentic. Some dishes are spicy and they dont play.
I ordered from Doordash and food was so small portion and was not tasty. I was so disappointed with the amount I paid for and got this type of food.
The chicken lahb was so chewy it was inedible. The Laotian papaya salad with shrimpy tails but no shrimp that I could see wasnt good either. the red chile curry stir fry was, like everything else watery and oily. Portions were small which meant less to throw out. Not for me.
We normally place a take out order from Nalinh. The dining room is extremely small, there are about 6 tables for dine in. The other half of the space is a grocery store. They make Lao and Thai food. Great food. Our favorites are the green mango (yum) salad, garlic fried pork ribs and the chicken wings are delish. You can get so much cooked sticky rice for $5.
Words cannot express the flavor of our dishes...but our stomachs are full!!! I highly suggest Thai tea to drink, and definitely go with anything youβre wishing to try. My family of five thoroughly enjoyed EVERYTHING!!!!
So far, its the most authentic thai restaurant Ive seen in texas. The flavors are incredible. They have stuff that Ive never seen in America because some thai food is to different for average Americans. Like pla too, pa la, or pa salit to name a few. Great stuff!
Best lao food in metroplex.
Ive never had such a great flavor experience till I came here. Get the papaya salad you wont regret it..and dont pass up on those ribs! My mouth is watering just writing this review.
They cut raw meat in front of you while they change the channel on the remote with the same full of raw meat juice hands. Poor remote control. It doesnt smell good when you walk in. It smells like a market. So the market is great. A lot of nice things. I dont to think a restaurant should smell like a market . One of the dishes I ate was not good . I feel bad but the customer service is really nice. They are nice people. I think it could be that ai am not used to this kind of good but its not something interesting or new that anyone that has not tried it should bother trying. I only tried one dish, the other dishes might taste great. I dont know . I only tried one. I just needs to be a little more cleaner and nicer smelling. Dont experiment here is my suggestion. They are very friendly that I can tell you. Market good restaurant not so much.
Food is good but service is poor. Ordered chicken curry and server took wrong order. Asked to make again but no one paid attention. Waited for 30min and after asking they said no one asked to make again. Also, paid for food that served took wrong order for. They dont even repeat your order. So basically came back hungry without even eating and paid also on top of that.
Its a bit of a mess, its a little dirty, limited seating for restaurant and the store is basically a place you can buy ingredients they would use for their own cooking ( thats actually good) fair prices and you will eat off a plastic, outdoors table with styrofoam plates and plastic forks but oh baby, the Thai/Lao food is on point. Dont be afraid, get in there.
Pork ribs are really good and the menu options are low priced and good value. Would recommend eating in store as opposed to door dash cause the item prices get increased by quite a bit. Also sticky rice is very good.
Great food, friendly staff.
Beef larb (yes, that is the correct spelling) is delicious. Comes with some leaves of lettuce to wrap with enjoy. The fried chicken is not bad either. The rice is usually kinda dry and you have to go get it yourself. The pad Thai moo is solid. Very flavorful and good portions.
Small market but has authentic items and food is served ..Not much of a selection on things
The best Asian food in the entire Metroplex. Authentic food by authentic people.
Noodle dishes, curries, and soups are all excellent at the restaurant. I prefer to takeout since the seating is limited. The price is great too.
I went to this store looking to shop for items to cook with, and saw that they were also a restaurant. It was my lucky day. The food was delicious and fairly priced, and the service was very friendly and prompt. I will definitely go back!
We ordered chicken laab, lao sausage, and chicken pad thai. It was good enough for me to want to come back. Not the best Ive ever had though. Self serve rice and sticky rice was awesome because my kiddo loves sticky rice. Will have to come back and try other dishes.
Delicious real lao food.Very friendly staff I loved it and will absolutely come back .The atmosphere reminded me of my hanging out and eating with family.Plus theres a market in addition to the delicious restaurant to stock up on some needed grocery items!
Excellent food
Great food. The place isnt set up for dine in for a large group and the service isnt great. So it might be better if you just order your food for pick up/to go.
Terrible food, tasteless green curry, super slow service and kitchen staff. Never coming back.
Very casual and friendly place...and the food delicious. One of the best places where you can eat Thai and Laos food and get your Asian groceries...all under the same roof.
Absolutely delicious and reasonably priced authentic Thai food. Not sure what to have? Ask for recommendations! Classic hole in the wall vibe attached to small Thai grocery store.
The food and service was amazing. Clean, tons of options. My first time and Ill definitely be back
Insanely great food. Easily the best thai in Dallas (and their Lao dishes are even better)
Went early for a lite bite for lunch to try it out, and to order for a birthday dinner later. So glad we found this place! Amazing Laos food, highly recommend it!
I love this place, I go there often and love the papaya salad. I would recommend anyone who craves for good Lao street food to go here.
Food was pretty delicious, but we got an $8 prit king dish that was way smaller than what you can get at market rate.Depends on what you order. The fried pork ribs and lao sausage are good value items. Have not tried papaya salad.
The food here is incredible!!! So so tasty.
Amazing in every way! I love the green papaya salad (extra garlic), fried pork ribs, Pad See Ew, pork belly with Chinese broccoli and the homemade desserts in the case! Fair warning: be careful of the spice level!!! π
This is the best hole in the wall for Laotian food. If you here dont expect a 5 star service cuz thats not what this place is about. Be proactive and write down your order on the notepad and service yourself. Everything is so cheap here and the food is freaking amazing. Everything on the menu is good, so if youre brave try everything hahaha.
Authentic Thai and Laos food! Best chicken wings ever! I drive from North Dallas to come eat here.
Excellent food! Friendly atmosphere, family oriented. Family owned! Best Thai in Dallas!
If you want Lao food, come here. The best and Nikki is soooo amazing. Comfort food at its finest.
Love this place great food, Thai tea, and more . I always get great service thanks
Good home. cooking great service !!!!!
Great little hidden treasure. The food is yummy and I absolutely love the curries. Great vegetarian options as well.
Excellent, authentic as it gets. Every dish is delicious
Five star for the food because you are getting authentic Thai Cuisine. Dont go there the atmosphere however go there for the food.
Good food and cheap prices. I love it. Best Thai Homemade food.
Great restaurant, and hard to find ingredients. The quality and prices are the best.
Excellent Thai and Laos foods though the prices can be a little high.
Hole-in-thr-wall that is unquestionably worth the visit. Amazing panang curry.
Favorite Laos restaurant. There is a market inside also. They treat everyone like family. The food is fresh!
Staff is great! The food is fantastic. A great place to bring your family and friends!
Nice place to buy supplies for making Thai food. The diner smelled good, though.
I have had what I thought was Thai and Lao cuisine until I ate here! Unbelievably authentic, and the favor is ohhhhh so good!
Just ate there around 10 min ago and the food was excellent the service was excellent i would most definitely go back again and recommend to anyone thats into Asian food like me
Fantastic Laos and Thai food. Small and dining area but well worth stopping in for a delicious meal.
One of the best Tom Kha soups that I have ever had.
Favorite Thai/Laos restaurant and market in DFW.
Amazing food. Seriously underrated. Deserves 10 stars.
Brought to this place by one of my friend and this place is just so good I will definitely come back again.
I love that they offer different papaya salads! Theyβre staff are so nice.
I love this place. Fresh ingredients, well prepared, very nice people.
