Let me start by saying I have not been a bike in 40+ years.My wife and I purchased 2 used Schwinn Hybrid bikes, from 2 different private owners.Since bikes have come a long way, we felt they needed a complete physical, to ensure they were safe and road worthy.Took them to Big G, and he took a great deal of time explaining to me what would be needed on each one. They offer 3 types of bike servicing, at $30, $60 and $100, and I expected to be hit with You need the $100 packages on both bikes....What I got instead, was an honest man who told me the $30 package was perfect for mine, and hers needed the $60 service package. NO NEEDLESS EXPENSE....So thankful he did not hit me up[ for more $$, since I know nothing about what may be needed.To make it even better, when we came to pick up the bikes, he again took a great deal of time helping adjust the seats for the correct fit, as well as showing us how to take off the front tires, to better fit in our cars. In addition he suggested low cost accessories we will need, and fully explained the reasons why.In my opinion, if you live near Irving, and need an honest evaluation of your bike, and support locally owned businesses, look no further that Big G!

I Recently bought a bike for my daughter and we needed help assembling it, so we brought the bike to this shop. He managed to finish it in a short amount of time, and even gave my daughter some tips on how to ride it. He has a very friendly personality, and is overall a great person to fix your bike. Mr Gerardo is a very honest and hardworking man. The price to replace my broken gear transmission was a very reasonable $25. He also breaks down the cost of repair unlike other shops which is very nice. Definitely coming back again.

Dont be dissuaded by the fact that this bike shop is inside a laundromat, Gerardo at Big G knows his stuff!! He went to one of the best bicycle mechanic training programs in the country, and it shows. Gerardo was extremely knowledgeable and fixed my front derailleur in a couple of hours. Then he went outside with me to make sure the bike was working, and gave me some tips on how to keep it in good working order. A big thanks to Big G Bicycle Shop. I will definitely be back for future needs. Highly recommend!!

Great service, my husband took my carbón fiber bike seat post to get cut. I thought it would take a few hours or a day to come back for it . He was done in less than 15 minutes. I was a bit scared to get a price on it but I can say I’m definitely coming back. Prices were reasonable. And I don’t know much about bike shops but I just found my go to place for all my bike needs.

Abosulty amazing guy. I can now count on three occasions where he could have used the fact I dont know much to increase prices of to even charge me extra but every time I go in there Im greeted by a smile and always feel that hes giving me good prices and teaching me extra to help me keep my bike good. Would recommend this shop to anyone whos looking for a good handy man to have especially if your entire means of transportation relies on your bike being in top repair

Shop is located inside the laundry. The first impression was not so good as it is not an dedicated location by itself. However when I started talking to the owner, I realized that he has immense knowledge on bikes. I took a toddler bike for assembly and it was assembled within an hour although he mentioned it takes about 2 hours. Extremely satisfied with the service and again, the owner has immense knowledge on bikes. This will be my goto bike service going forward.

I cant review Gerardo high enough and Irving is very lucky to have him. I took two bikes for tune-ups (7 years without riding!) and to fix the melted handlebar/gear shifts. He told me he had to order the parts, but he would pick them up and have them back in a few hours. I feel like this is the kind of thing that would have taken another bike shop days to take care of. His prices are VERY good and hes professional and friendly.

Gerardos high level of service is highly appreciated and I feel lucky to have found this bicycle repair shop. I had him do a tune up of my wifes bycycle and he did a superb job to a very reasonable price. Would recommend him 10 out of 10 times.

This was the only bike shop I could find in Irving and it was well worth it! Gerardo really cares about his customers and treats every bike as his own. He is certified and it really shows in his work. His prices are VERY reasonable for the amount of quality he puts into it. Most places would charge $20 + or more right off the bat. It is expensive. It is located inside of the laundry store. Just to tight handle or pedal or seat they charge high. Better we need to buy tools do repair ourslef.

This was my first time at Big G Bicycle Service. I was really pleased with my experience and would definitely recommend and come back for any servicing! I was having issues with my road bike gears and Gerardo helped me understand what I was having troubles with. Big G is the closest place to me in Las Colinas and I am glad I went there instead of the big bike shops. He was very nice and very professional. He did great work, too. When I brought him my bike, the back tire was locked up and I had trouble changing gears. After his work my, bike is like brand new. He even cleaned the bike for me. Great service and the price cannot be beat.
