We just got ice cream and a root bear float. Both were good. Service was the best. Well be back for food soon. Prices are a bit high though.

Me and my son love this place! Cool atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and tons of great deals and merchandise. Our favorite part is opportunity to try all the different instruments before deciding what you want to purchase!

Manager Alex was extremely rude to a family member who is deaf and relies on reading lips to communicate. He would not lower his mask so that his lips were visible. Alex demanded that my family member leave the store when he was being asked politely to assist with better communication. There are not excuses for this type of rudeness and discrimination.

Very helpful staff. With no other music stores within reasonable distance from the colleges, there is an open opportunity to become such and expand offerings on other instruments... perhaps starting with outreach to support what is one of the largest and arguably the best HBCU band in the nation.

Standard Guitar Center really. Staff are friendly enough. Inventory is a bit low at the moment, but thats probably not their fault.

Went in for some strings, but when I returned my car broke down. The staff was very helpful and understanding, and very knowledgeable in their products. 10/10 would recommend.

Dealing with Alexandrea Robicheaux the unprofessional prejudice bigot assist manger.Wouldnt help me ignore me. When I asked him a question. He snap on me and got angered at me. Some of those guy there including the district manager. Are in a buddy click. They will target certain black customers. Showing strong dislike, file a complaint. Does no good they cover for each other.

Most everybody in this area is familiar with Guitar Center . And love them. ( I do too ) for(Big Box store) .I will say this, the reason they got four stars, yes staff are courteous. most the time theyre knowledgeable.... they lack one because they dont carry some of the products that they used to, as far as guitar strings, accessories, etc. Check out GC in ATLANTA,or LA then youll have a reference point from which to compare slipper Mississippi theyre doing good🤘🏼

I gave this store 5 star 3 years ago for good product & excellent customer service. And i been supporting GC for the last several years. Till recently. Totally not satisfy with the service.For me to travel an hour.and prior coming to the store i called to make sure the item that i was looking for is in stock.which the staff told me. YES That they have it. .I patiently waited for 40 mins for my turn To be assisted by the staff.and another 30 mins. To find the item . Just to tell me They could not find it. Its a total waste of time. & effort .I will definitely giving my business. somewhere else.

They dont seem to like selling their overpriced guitars. Its cool tho, I know where to get good service AND good deals. Will not be back here.

Guitar Center in Jackson, MS has refused to refund my money based on a mistake totally at their fault. No matter how patient I was with them, they are still currently doing or showing nothing to fix the mistake they made. In October 2020, I went to the store to purchase ProTool Ultimate, explained to salesman what I wanted and he gave me the wrong product code. I try to return it and get the correct code, they weren’t able to do that, and in early January the Director of HR informed me I would get a refund. I have not gotten a refund. They have not been in contact. All initial contact has come from me. I have no product and none of my money back. They consistently try to place the blame on Avid, but their employee sold the wrong code and they are the ones who have collected the money and will not return it. This is a current experiences started 10/2020 and is still continuing today 2/16/2021.

They really need to update their Ancient computer system! Be prepared to wait for an hour and a half to purchase! The only reason I gave them a 2 star rating is due to its not the workers fault. The company needs to spend more money on their equipment for the workers.

The inventory of guitars was abysmal when I went. I could count on 2 hands the number of Fender and Gibson guitars there were combines. The amp selection was also very sparse. I went in with the intention of trying out a guitar to buy that day. 3 different stores and not one had a classic vibe tele that Ive been trying to find. Just use Sweetwater.

I have been going to this place for years. when i first started playing guitar a sales representative taught me bar chords. and that meant a lot to me. i was 13. my last visit was to get Strings and Guitar picks and the representative was very helpful in helping me find items that fit my preferences.

Always have a answer for any tech questions I have and hands on any instrument I audition for purchase.

Walked in with a mask on and was told that my patriotic mask wasn’t adequate. I was the only customer in the store with 4 sales clerks huddled at the cashier desk and store manager sitting outside working on papers. It seems with a large staff that customer service would be excellent not non-existence.

It was quiet and I was happy they were open on the fourth of July. The representative helped me with my request and was very nice and professional. I wish they had more locations such as in Vicksburg but its not too far of a drive. I went to the repair area as to have a guitar worked on and as soon as its ready that will contact me. I also looked through some of their inventory as Ive been considering a purchase of something I dont have. However after walking around I was physically exhausted so I decided to leave. Perhaps when I pick my item up I may give due consideration to another purchase. I liked that no one in the store approached me while I was browsing. I didnt really have any questions so that was good. It was a very low key experience which I am thankful for. Ill be very glad when my instrument is finished with being repaired and I hope its fairly soon. Overall my experience is good. I think its a good store with a good selection of all kinds of musical instruments and extras. Thus thank you to Guitar Center for being so kind and for being open on July 4th.

Just purchased a Tama Imperialstar 6 piece drum kit. Had a few issues, mostly Tama having to build the kit due to high demand. Tim in Percussion worked hard and got us the kit, a month before expected delivery! We have purchased many things here over the past 8 years, as always high quality service!

Kevin has absolutely been one of the best guitar sales people I have ever met. He answered every single question I had about several different products they offer and even gave me advice that would help me out with my future playing after I get good enough to actually play a full song. I highly recommend this location for any of your musical needs but have to give a shout out to Kevin, who never once made me feel rushed or that I was bugging him in any way even though they were busy. My 5 children were even allowed to strum on a guitar or two. Thank you!

The most awesome staff ever. All of the staff is dedicated to helping everyone with their craft inside of music. This store is extremely well organized and my personal favorite place to go inside on this area of Mississippi. You can find anything from method books to instrument, there also are some great novelties. If you have a musician or DJ in your family this is to place shop for them at. This is a definite FIVE STAR place.

Bought a drum nib in Birmingham. Got it home to Jackson, played it and didn’t like it. Went to return it and they wanted a 10% restock fee. I told them I’d keep the drum rather than take a 35.00 hit. Nearly every drum there has stick marks on it. How was I supposed to know how it sounded until it was played. What sounds on the web doesn’t translate into reality.

Manager is nice and helpful. Store has good selection of all types of equipment. The sales people are young, inattentive, kids with 0 customer service are sales skills. When asked what made one guitar better than the other, the reply was “It costs more”.

I have a gig on the East coast tomorrow night, so I left work an hour early today to stop at Guitar Center in Jackson, MS on my way to the airport, to pick up a new guitar wireless. I have misplaced the power cord to mine, and need a substitute ASAP. They had a Line 6 C30 on sale so I had the salesman get one for me. At the register, the wireless rang up for $50 more than the price on the sign. I showed the clerk the sign for the wireless so he called for the manager to adjust the price. The manager said the sign was old, and the wireless is no longer on sale, and wouldn’t adjust the price. They used to call this “bait and switch”. I don’t know if this is a common practice for Guitar Center, but I do know it will cost you a 20+ year customer. Musicians Friend has the same products, I just like shopping at an actual store. I’ve checked the small local music store where we’ll be playing, and they have a wireless I can get tomorrow. I have bought guitars, amps, pro audio gear, and numerous accessories from GC, a few of these things from this store. Guitar Center won’t get any more of my business. I’m giving it one star because that’s how many fingers it takes to describe my experience today.

This store has the best selection in town by a long shot. Personally, I feel like the prices could be a little bit more competitive with the online market. I understand that the convenience of having everything in a one-stop-shop is very valuable alone, but it seems like there is always a little bit too much wiggle room as far as the price point is concerned. If you can convince your salesperson to do so, some items can stand to take as much as a 30% discount from the posted price. This means that the store is still making a profit and the salesperson a commission. This is especially true with used gear. Having to ask for a discount isnt something that I just enjoy doing. Why not have a fair price and not have to haggle? .Other than that, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable for the most part. this is surprising because Guitar Center doesnt compensate their employees very well at all. The way that commission is paid is an absolute joke.

This is ther best store for your guitar and drum needs. Ask for Arthur. He knows everything youll need to get started and he was super friendly.

The new management has a nasty attitude. The old management was way nicer. It’s like, some of them have the nastiest attitude. I’ve been a customer for more than 10 years. And the service that I received on today was horrible. But, thank God I recorded them on video for evidence.

Best place to buy a guitar in the state.

They must be killing it here because they’re not interested in assisting customers. I showed up today to upgrade my son’s electric guitar, and after about 15 minutes, we gave up. I mentioned to an employee that no one was helping us and surprise nothing change. We eventually gave up and will spend our money elsewhere. Point being, don’t go out of your way to check out Guitar Center.

I found some really helpful people here that made the overwhelming decision of which guitar to purchase a lot easier. They have tons of guitars and amps to get the sound youre looking for and theyre better than buying from Amazon!

Strict mask policy doesnt allow for customers who arent able to wear masks. I guess Ill be shopping at Sweetwater.com.

We love going to this place the staff are laid back and friendly. The only reason I didnt give them 5 stars is because they are limited on tenor banjo and ukulele sheet music and supplies.

Strings are behind the counter, which isn’t a problem until there’s nobody around to help you. There wasn’t anyone. I had to go looking for assistance. The acoustic guitars that retail over $1500 are locked in place on the wall holders. Not my best visit to a GC. Won’t return to this one.

Sales people have no clue what they are selling. I asked for a new nut for my electric guitar and the girl on the phone told me that We dont sell headstocks. Employees are kids who are unprofessional with no customer service skills. The only person in the store with any product knowledge seems to be the tech. This store could use thorough sales and product knowledge training. Customer service needs serious attention.

The gentleman in the Pro Audio were incredible Lifesavers for my husband who had left his in ear monitors in ATL and we were at a gig in Jackson. They really came through and Im appreciative.

They have some decent equipment to choose from. I personally feel that they could have an even better selection but its a kinda small store. The employees are mostly liars trying to make a sale. Not very helpful in my experience. You can do better at a competitor if you make the effort.

Nice store good selection. The employees are mostly typical guitar center employees you see on YouTube spoof videos. Anything you need is never their department. But if you know what youre doing or want you can make the most of your visit on your own regardless. The good guitars are always kept behind the counter, the used models are always top used retail price, and amps seem overpriced in used area. But the store is well kept to be where it is. There is a great selection. And I spend at least and hour every time just hanging out.

My favorite store shut down because of these guys, BUT its there when I need an item immediately. Service is mundane (not good, not bad), selection in store is ok and you may be able to find a knowledgeable associate in the area your looking for gear. They could definitely use better lighting. The store is always kind of dark.

I love the store, but I live almost an hour away. I spoke to a person on the phone about a Haze machine, and the person lead me to believe they had it in stock. He said come down. I drove all the way there only to find they didnt even keep it in stock. I could have ordered on line and gotten it in 2 days, so I left and took my business to zZounds which is where I think I will do business from here on out. This has happened more than once.

I had to run in to get some guitar strings for my husband. They were extremely busy, but that didnt stop multiple employees from greeting me and someone immediately walked over to help! I usually HATE unexpected places I have to go when Im ready to head home, but this was super quick. He got me exactly what my husband asked for right away and I was out the door! -- If only County Line road was like that!

In store experience was great, phone experience after ordering instrument in store and before picking up in store was terrible. I understand all business are doing more work with less staff but a customer being talked to in a manner that presents to them that their call is less important than the customers in the store is not conducive to repeat business.

Been to Guitar Centers in New York,Chicago,Atlanta,Jacksonville,Orlando,Las Vegas,Los Angeles,Birmingham & New Orleans. NONE of the GCenter stores(I just listed)compare to the friendliness of the staff,the knowledge of their products,or just their genuine concern of meeting/exceeding the expectations of their customers like the Jackson,MS Guitar Center. The store manager(Justin),Hunter,& Brandon(just to name a few)are top notch and excellent at what they do!!! Thanks guys!
