I went to Mattice golf with questions regarding the lie angle on my clubs. Bob watched me swing the club so he could evaluate my swing path. He adjusted the lie angle on my clubs based upon what he saw. He had me try them out, he gave me several pointers and had me swing them again. I was happy with the results,but wasnt entirely certain. I immediately went to the driving range to try out my new clubs. I followed the pointers that Bob had suggested. Long story short, after about 5 or 6 balls I was hitting the ball further and straighter than I have hit it before. I have played golf for 50 years and Bob, within 30 minutes was able to help me to improve my contact and trajectory. I play to an 8 handicap but I believe that now that number will be coming down..

This so-called golf professional!!Mattiace Golf, this last Saturday (Apr 4th), my 15 year old son and I were playing at Windsor Parke. I later found out that you were in the group behind us. I dont know if you know, but there was a foursome in front of us with another father and son as well as two other gentleman. Our progress was solely dependent on how fast they were playing and we spent a lot of time waiting at the Teebox. My son is relatively new at Golf so he did hit more shots per hole then a so-called golf professional like yourself. We were on the mindset that if he was already at par and not yet at the green he would simply pick up. Not 1 or 2, but 3 times you thought it was appropriate to hit into us. I also later found from one of the gentleman you were playing with, that the last time you did, you made a comment, that you were going to try and hit us. I was disappointed in your behavior that day, but to find out that you were purposefully trying to hit us with malicious intent is just appalling. Is this the behavior of a golf professional? We were moving as fast as we could based on the foursome in front of us. Is this the kind of behavior that you teach your students? I also am an instructor teaching martial arts here in Jacksonville, if any of my coaches treated my students or anyone in the public with that level of disrespect they would no longer be instructing under my name, yet you think its appropriate and professional to try to hit a father and son because you think were not moving fast enough for you, disgraceful! I hope that potential clients and potential students read this review and think twice before hiring you, I hope that they would have enough respect for the game and for themselves not to associate with someone that behaves in such a manner. If I could give Zero stars I would!

Bob is a true Pro when it comes to golf. He doesnt just discuss the mechanics of the game but will also tell you what needs to happen between the ears. Golf is every bit mental as it is physical. He has a great personality that makes you want to practice and get out and play. He guides you through the lesson and gives you homework to work on out of the shop.They also have the best service in Jacksonville for club fitting and repairs.

Bob has been spot on with my lessons. I was skeptical until I traveled around the country getting lessons from all over and always ended up going back to what Bob taught me. I would highly recommend his unorthodox teaching to anybody

He teaches great skills and key fundamentals. I would highly recommend him.

Bob and his staff are nice enough. My issue comes with lessons. My philosphy is if you pay to get lessons, that time should be devoted to you. Unfortunately, Bob is a really nice guy and when customers walk in and want to talk about nonsense during my alotted time, then I feel as if I wasted my money.I paid for 3 lessons and the first 2 were exactly the same. An hour lesson ends up taking 2+ hours, maybe 10 minutes getting instruction from random customers,sometimes Bob, other times the guy behind the counter. The other 1hr50min is spent swinging off a small mat and into a net (I can do this at home for free). Needless to say, I wont go back for the 3rd lesson.
