Allen Vinson and Company created a custom tux for my wedding and it surpassed every expectation, (coming from a very picky guy). We recently got married on July 24th at the Fontainebleau in Miami Beach Florida! We currently live in Jacksonville and were looking for a Tuxedo for my now husband. We went to a couple of places in town but nobody had the style i was looking for. We realized what i was asking needed to be customized. We were referred to JT Vinson and as soon as we got there He knew what i was looking for, the style, the fashion look etc! He did not hesitated on anything and was very knowledgable! My husbands tuxedo turned out amazing!!! He looked so stylish and his tuxedo was unique unlike any other ones. The lapel gave it an excellent look. From the start i knew this place made tuxedos of great quality. I actually said to him i wish i would have come sooner because i feel like i wasted my time by going to other places! Long but READ! A great guy and company! The custom clothier originally recommended to me was overseas and the time/space issues were racking up.Luckily, I saw JT Vinson online and it had awesome reviews. I called immediately with only about a month and half before my wedding and Alan Vinson drove from Jacksonville to Satellite beach to size me himself and show me the fabrics.He had a great assortment of fabrics but I’d honestly have to recommend the house fabrics especially for tight timelines like mine. It’s exceptional fabric already stocked up so he took my measurements and it went into production without additional shipping delays from out of house fabrics.Due to some shipping issues that were out of everyone’s control my suit wasn’t projected to come in until the day of the wedding! So Alan had another suit that they had accidentally made two of but around my size tailored overnight and then drove it to Orlando from Jax just in case My suit didn’t come in.Fortunately, on the morning of my suit came in but only after Alan had ordered that the shipping container holding my suit be opened up and my suit plucked from it to be overnighted! It fit like a glove and made me almost as good looking as my bride, the suit did most of the work lol.The customer service, quality of product, and the fact that the owner did all of this just for me has earned JT Vinson a life long customer.
I am beyond pleased with the excellent service, professionalism, and quality of clothing I received from Alan! I have never owned a custom suit before and wanted one to renew my wedding vows. Was new to the are from NY and needed to buy a suit for my daughters wedding, so it needed to be special. After visiting the higher end box stores I went to Google and started to search and found Alan. Made an appointment and could not have been happier! Nothing I have bought fits the way it does from Alan and honestly I was paying more money for some of the shirts I was buying. After a complete suit that was the talk of the night I decided to get a few more shirts and we designed an AMAZING sport coat. I had considered a tailored suit for some time but just never found the tailor who seemed to be stylish and modern. That was until I met the fine people at JT Vinson. In my initial meeting we sat down and talked about style and fabric. Once my decision was made I was measured and sat back and waited. In a few weeks it arrived and it was beyond expectations. Alan had a few suggestions on some final adjustments and away I went with my beautiful custom made suit. I would advise taking your time, finding the right color and fabric is so important. I chose a close relative to navy blue and a fabric that stretches and breathes in the Florida heat. I went with a white shirt and man is it impressive. Beyond Prada. Putting on a custom suit immediately makes you feel like you are a million bucks. Goodbye to my off the rack suits, I will never go back to store bought again. Oh yeah, I did the package and got the extra shirt. I went short sleeve. I probably will only buy custom shirts from here on out. Do yourself a favor and set up an appointment today with Alan, you will not regret it.

To say my experience has had its up and downs is an understatement. My wife wanted to surprise me for Christmas with a custom suit. She went in and picked everything out, and I was suppose to go in for measurements, but was shown the suit, which was made very to was not suppose to happen. I found this out after I left my measurement appointment. The suit did arrive and fit great, however within the first month the zipper pulled away from the stitching and needed to be fixed, which JT Vinson agreed to do. Once I received my pants back I noticed a burn or pull mark on them mid thigh, that I do not recall seeing prior to dropping them off for a repair. I have emailed twice and also called and left a voicemail with zero response. The time frame of the emails have been a week, so I feel that is more than adequate time to respond to my concern.Alan, since I have had zero communication back from you since I gave you back my pants it seems as if this is your prefer way to communicate. In my opinion I feel you should communicate with the customer directly prior to posting on social media, but thats just my opinion.Moving on from that, since you have said my pants are good to go, how can I go about retrieving my apparel, since this is all new information to me?Update:I finally spoke with the owner and even tho he posted that the cleaners fixed the issue he admitted to me that was not the case and they need to be remade.Final post:A new pair of pants were made and delivered. I do not feel the customer service was on par during the entire process, but in the end Alan did do what he could do make the situation correct.
My first custom suit experience was better than I could have imagined. Alan Vinson personally spent 45 minutes with me. He pays careful attention to detail as he takes various measurements. He even noticed that one of my arms is slightly longer than the other and calculated that into the shirt and jacket fit. He helps filter through a myriad of fabric and color choices based off of your preferences and guides you through the customization process. I ended up purchasing a suit, shirt, 2 ties, belt, socks, and shoes. His price is very reasonable. My custom suit was ready in about 3-4 weeks and when I tried it on it fit perfectly. The suit is very comfortable and flattering. No adjustments were necessary. I am looking forward to building out my professional wardrobe with him in the future. I highly recommend JT Vinson Clothier for professionals who are looking to buy their first custom suit or are looking to step up their professional wardrobe.

The value that JT Vinson provides with their made to measure suits cannot be overstated. At around $1,500 for their tier one suit package (suit and two shirts or suit, shirt, tie and socks) I think you’d be hard pressed to find a higher quality or better fitting product.Keep in mind that this is made to measure and not bespoke. Some of the negative reviews here seem like they are from customers who don’t understand the difference between the two. Obviously there is going to be more precision and more refined detailing with a bespoke suit, however; bespoke suits usually start at at least 3 times the price JT Vinson charges for their tier one package. That being said, it’s completely unfair to compare the two and absurd to get upset with JT Vinson for not providing you with an experience that they are neither claiming to be providing nor that you are paying the hefty price tag for.Everyone I interacted with was eager to help and they gave valuable style advice during the design process. I’d recommend anyone in the North East Florida area to check out JT Vinson when they are in the market for a new suit or custom clothing. You really won’t be disappointed and you are getting a lot for what you’re paying. I look forward to doing business with JT Vinson for years to come.

Cant speak highly enough about the team at JT Vinson. My wife told me it was time to update my wardrobe, which prompted me to get all new suits from JT Vinson. They did an amazing job, giving me a modern and comfortable look. Most importantly, they were very responsive and made small adjustments without any complaint. If youre looking for a professional tailor, JT Vinson gets my highest recommendation.
For a man that just wants basic professional attire that will fit remarkably well, JT Vinson might be great option for you. If you know anything about fashion, avoid working with Alan. His factory in China has solid construction, but neither Alan nor the factory are able to pay attention to the details. When you confront Alan on this, he gets very arrogant and defensive as though his customers couldn’t possibly know something about clothing he doesn’t. Alan does not know tuxedo and formal/semi-formal wear at all.If anything goes wrong, Alan avoids conversation and ghosts you until you beg enough he has to respond.My $2100 order ended up costing over $4,000 after extra travel time and costs and ready made I had to buy in emergency when they delivered completely unacceptable jacket and shirt. I finally got something that I can be 95% happy with and offered to spend more money to buy a second pair of tuxedo pants to go with my first jacket that still isn’t correct. Alan has chosen after a week to not respond. Again, if you just need an above average suit and want it to fit well and know nothing about fashion, give Alan a try. If you know anything about fashion, skip JT Vinson clothiers.Added on 9/10/2019 as response to Alan’s reply: Alan, I am a customer looking for very specific things, which you knew from the very detailed check list I brought in on the first visit, which you have on video and camera, if you recall. Further, you know for a fact from the MANY emails that I have not been made happy with the tuxedos yet. I have more than sufficient emails and materials to show you failed to deliver the items ordered accurately and that all of the items were delivered late. Of the five items I have ordered, as all of my emails through the entire process have shown, only one piece of the clothes are at 100%. The other 4 pieces are still not what I requested. This you do know for a fact from all of the emails, including the email that was sent a week prior to my review which you left unanswered.

Never knew what JT Vinson meant but to me I see JT Vision because they want you to look good and feel good, to them its Just The Vision and not the sale. I have been buying suits for 25+ years and have never had a suit fit right. I am FAR from an off-the-rack build, but I have even tried some of the large retailers (Mens Wearhouse, Jos Bank, Suit Supply) custom suits...and while I have paid custom prices, I have never until now had an actual perfect custom suit.I found JT Vinson back when I lived in Gainesville. I searched online for a true custom suit shop anywhere within driving distance (as there are none in Gainesville). I read some great reviews and saw that several UF coaches have used JT Vinson for years, so I figured that when it was time for my next suit, I would give them a try. I started with just a Sport Coat to test the waters. The fit was absolute perfection. So 2 Sport Coats and 4 suits later, I could not be happier with JT Vinson. I have worked with Wilshem, Cody and Alan (the owner) and they all are true professionals with an eye for knowing exactly how a suit should fit your specific frame. In an average suit fitting, they take about 6 measurements (chest, waist, arm length, neck, torso length, inseam). At JT Vinson they took about 20+ very specific (quad, calf and wrist circumferences just to name a few) measurements and it shows in the final product.The customer service is above and beyond what I am used to, but exactly what one hopes for at a high-end clothier and also exactly what will keep me coming back for years to come. Throughout the process there was one item that didnt fit just right. Alan (owner) happened to be standing there when I was in trying it on. The type of alteration that would have been required would have thrown off some of the other measurements, so instead of trying to cut corners and just make it work, Alan advised that they would send it back and have it completely re-made.Thats the type of perfection I want in my custom clothier! And that is also what has already made me a repeat customer.These guys have an eye for fashion and can create a perfect suit for any body type. I am 62 with a very athletic build. I have a very large drop from my shoulders / chest to my waist and I have been told for years, Thats as good as its gonna get, or We cant alter it any further. And the result has been boxy looking suits. If you want gorgeous, custom suits / shirts / blazers / that fit the way suits are supposed to fit...this is the place to go!
Ive been using JT Vinson for all of my custom clothing for years and have purchased dozens and dozens of custom suits, pants and sports coats from Alan Vinson. The quality of the fabric and cut of JT Vinson custom clothing is amazing. It is so easy to select and create a stunning wardrobe, and Alan is right there with you to share his expertise during the process. I would recommend that every professional try them out. If you do, youll definitely be hooked.
Had to get my suit fixed several times (was a custom suit that I was measured for 3x) and I was lied to about the cost of a shirt that was purchased from Nordstrom Rack. The shirt that I ordered well in advance was not ordered in time for my wedding, even though it was months in advance (lack of organization). I was also told to come pick up my suit at the Beach on a day the office was closed (lack of organization).
Alan is an expert at what he does. With over 20 years of experience hes the one to turn to if you need a business wardrobe update. All of his clothes are high quality, and hes great at providing wardrobe tips.
JT Vinson is hands down the best Custom Clothier around! The company is sharp, reliable, and has the best quality available. I have never had to send a purchase back for alterations. Thank you for always making me look good JT Vinsons.
