I was excited to visit the Mussallem Galleries after reading the glowing reviews online. I brought my fiancé here to take a tour and possibly make a purchase. Some things looked expensive in the pictures, but the website insisted that with prices starting at $50 there was a piece for everyone. So, we made the 2 hour drive to check this place out.When we walked in, we were greeted with judgmental stares from the three men behind the counter. Sure, we’re young so we don’t look like we have money to spend, but the website made it seem like all were welcome. One of the men offered to “show us around” and proceeded to rush us around the lobby, skipping the details about the art and antiques and only emphasizing the price to make it clear that he believed we couldn’t afford it. He then handed us a brochure insisting that we should “try the virtual tour” and then promptly escorted us to the door.We were kicked out for not looking wealthy enough. This is not what was advertised on the website and it feels like we lived the shopping scene from “Pretty Woman.”

Museum quality fine art, antiques, & rugs

Words can’t express just how awesome this place is! I was in awe from the moment I walked in til the moment I left. The family that runs it is awesome! If you like fine art, rugs, and antiques you’ll be in heaven guaranteed!

This is truly a wonderful experience. From the minute you enter the front door, you are treated like one of the family. Little did we know when we went shopping for a rug, that we would find a warm welcome to Jacksonville. The rug selection is extensive. The art work, probably one of the best private collections in the country. But the graciousness of the Mussalleum Family is unmatched anywhere. Enjoy!

This is one of the most extraordinary places I have ever been to. The art, antiques and rugs are incredible, like being in a museum! The family that owns it are the greatest people you will ever meet! If you like fine art, antiques and rugs in a broad price range, it is a must see. I have been to galleries all over the world, this is by far in a class of its own! We need a 10 star rating here!

Unbelievable gallery. They have fine art and Persian rugs that can fit any price range. We were so happy with our customer service. There is nothing like this in Jacksonville and you would be hard pressed to find a better selection of rugs anywhere in the country. The family is wonderful and knowledgeable. Truly a 5 star experience.

The Mussallem Gallery is the most fantasic fine arts gallery in all of Florida. James Mussallem has an exquisite collection, an wide array of artwork, including priceless oil paintings. Call or visit James and his family whenever you are in N. Florida. Jaw-dropping masterpiece oil paintings, including original Van Gogh. Please tell them I sent you.

Have visited this gallery multiple times and look forward to visiting again. They have one of the finest collections in the country and an absolutely gorgeous gallery. I recommend anyone that is ever in the area and appreciates art in any form to take the time to stop by and visit. Not only to view the collection but to get to talk to the knowledgeable owners.
