I just want to say Thank You So Much to George Garriques! I came to Ernie Palmer about a little over 2 weeks ago just to look around and way my options. I met George and I looked around but I wanted to take my time and go to other dealerships and way my options. He spoke with us and gave us great advice. I loved the fact that he didnt pressure me to purchase a vehicle that day. He gave me his card and said when I was ready come back. I wasnt feeling the other dealership I went to so I waited and decided to give George a call and explain my situation and he told me to come in and talk. I didnt get my first choice, but he and the staff did their magic and I got a Beautiful Camry. They even put me in a nice Nissan Altima for a few days until my car was properly detailed and updated. Let me start by saying that my credit is terrible and I had no intention of buying a vehicle. Since I know that will be the response from the dealership after reading this.After receiving a flyer in the mail claiming I won some cash I decided to go down to the dealership to see if in fact I had won anything. As expected there was nothing for me to win. I let the salesman know that I could not purchase a vehicle due to my credit. We had a rough couple of years and my good credit had turned bad very quickly. He assured me that if I really wanted to buy a vehicle that the staff would most likely be able to get it done. I agreed because I thought well if there is a shot I might as well try.My salesman and I toured the lot and found a truck that I liked. They ran my credit and told me that I would most likely be ok. I had to go back to work so I told them to please just let me know what the monthly payment and down payment would be and if I could afford it I would gladly come back and buy the truck. This is where the traditional car salesman trucks came into play.They refused to tell me a monthly payment or down payment over the phone. “Just come on in!” They said. “We’ve got you approved!” So reluctantly I drove another 30 min down to the store only for them to tell me that I would need $3,500 down. I specially stated to them prior to this that I would only be able to put down $500 and that I didn’t expect anything. I just assumed that I couldn’t buy a car for a few more years.The next day I called them back and asked them if $1,000 down would work and maybe to try using my wife’s credit as well. Again, the same story. Just come on down, we’ve got you approved. My wife and I then drove another 30 min only to find out that it was the same ole song and dance. Nothing had changed and I still needed $3500 down. It’s ok I get it. I have bad credit and I can’t buy the truck right now because I can’t afford it. But don’t drag me and my wife across town just to tell us what we already knew.I put my personal business out there so that people can see that this dealership just uses the same ole car salesman tactics just to get you into the door. I’m not surprised I guess just a irritated at the stupidity. It doesn’t make any sense to lie to people. I was completely honest about my financial situation with them. All they had to say was, sorry we can’t get it done. No big deal. I would’ve never been mad about it. I never though that I could get approved in the first place.Just be upfront and honest with people and you will never have to search for customers. They will talk about you all over town. You won’t be able to keep them away. Stop with the shady old school salesman tactics. They don’t work.

Had an absolutely amazing experience dealing with Ernie Palmer Toyota. They were able to get me in to a car I loved promptly, and were very patient with me and all of my needs!

Honestly I came in hopeful that I won this TV being given away. I didnt win 🙁Yet after speaking with Matt, I will be back for a vehicle purchase. He was very courteous and not overbearing to try to persuade me to make a vehicle purchase today. I appreciate his honesty and generous smile.
