I was having issues with my Volvo I just happened to be down the street after a delivery. I was greeted by Patrick who was very polite and professional.Chris the technician was knowledgeable and fixed my issues. This has been the worst experience I have had dealing with a trucking mechanic. I have been getting the run around for 2 weeks on the repair of our truck. Everyday we call, there is different information than the day before and no one is in communication with one another, which makes it impossible to conduct professional business because there is never any actual knowledge on whats going on with the trucks they are working on. We had been waiting a week for them to say we were put to the back of the line and now have to wait another week. I dont recommended anyone to do business with them.

Took dump truck to get lights fixed. Asked for a spare key to get made, they forgot to make the spare. Hopefully the work they done on the truck will be good. Time will tell

For the amount they charge just to look at your truck maybe they should have a cleaner shower and restroom for the paying customers. Both were discussing and washer and dryer are a joke as well. Please show your appreciation for the folks that keep you in business. Unfortunately I am a regular customer of Tom Nehl Volvo. That being said, I have gotten nothing short of amazing service from the fine people working here. I recently had to take my truck in the shop there for an oil leak and starting issue. The oil leak was fixed in what I consider a timely manner, and a couple days before the expected date. I also had a starting issue that was beyond what I imagine. Jason and his techs used their expertise to eventually diagnose the problem to be the flywheel. To be honest it took a couple tries, but I was impressed with their persistence and dedication to resolving my problem. During all this I was aided and regularly updated by Johnny the service writer. He was very professional and helped all along the way. I was also helped by Chris in the service department during the process as well. In conclusion, Tom Nehl Volvo isn’t the cheapest place in town. But you get what you pay for, and their service is top notch!

I was so happy to find these guys to replace my sway bar, add shocks and Sumo springs within two hours. I travel full time in my RV and cant leave my rig overnight. Kevin, Richard, and Chris took care of me right away. Great customer service.
Very poor at communication and kind of dealt with Chris McCarthy a service advisor. He could use a customer service class or to. Not good at dealing with a customer who was not very happy being charged what I was charged for some pretty minor issues dealing. Replacing a seatbelt, fixing the back HVAC that was not blowing, the wiper fluid issue (it was a bad switch) and low beam lights needed a harness repaired cost me $2,419 I dont care what excuse they have 11.6 hours for that I paid $1,740 in labor to fix a truck that only required $331.32 in parts. You can a lot done on a truck at other places for that kind of money. Only reason I took it to them was because of the electrical issues. You get a mixed bag with their people some are good some are not. Their communication is lacking and leaves a lot to be desired. We dropped the truck off with those issues on Friday 6/11/2021 here it is 6/21/2021 1634 hours and they are finally done. So, not only did I lose a bunch of money from loads but from their slow service. Might work for people that go in a bunch but, if you are not a regular there I would look else where to get your service done.

Good morning few days ago I had a trip interruption coming from Maryland going into Fla.My 2015 Volvo went into a Engine Fault SCR system. Got the truck to dealership Tom Neil’s about 6 o’clock in the morning. . Needless to say I met up with the Richard and Patrick in Service DEPT. Later on that morning they explain what was going on with truck. They gave the truck to one of their master certified technicians name is Doug he explained to me the in-depth problem. The service was excellent everybody was very helpful in getting me back on the road to my destination. I would recommend Tom Neil‘s Volvo dealership. While traveling on l-75 our motorhome quit on us near Lake City, FL on a Sunday afternoon. We needed an alternator and 2 chassis batteries. We contacted a mobile mechanic to avoid a tow charge. Once he knew what we needed, he called around to find the parts to no avail. Knowing the most likely place to have them was the Freightliner dealer he contacted the parts manager AT HOME as the place is not open on Sunday. Parts manager, Neil, happily opened up for us and sold us the parts. We were overwhelmed with the kindness shown us and would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone in need. Caring and honest people.

My experience has not been grate. I would usually exhaust ALL my other options before going to Tom Nehl. Service department has never given me a fair treatment. They seem to be always in a hurry to get you off the phone. They will say we’ll call you back, never do. When vehicle is done, I would have to be calling to find out if it is. Parts department is okay, plenty of parts in stock but prices are high. Just today, I have called service to get my vehicle in for seal work, service guy said “I’ll call you back in a bit”, he has not. I hope he is doing well this weekend, while I sit here with my only truck that makes money being down, thanks to him.

Very poor workmanship. They had my truck on two occasions for a total of 3 weeks down. Loss revenue and costs for repairs and warranties was well over 15 grand. I am one week from being in their shop and every issue I told them about still exists . Now I have a new mechanic to fix the same issues. They fixed my ac compressor left the old o ring and stacked another one top and it started dumping Freon into the engine. Another 600$ repair they caused. I could continue on and on but hey you get the gist of it. AVOID THIS REPAIR SHOP AT ALL COSTS IF POSSIBLE

Bad experience. Drop my truck Friday afternoon for estimate on Def issue. Mr Patrick told”I get back to you Monday”. Because Nobody call back. I call about 4:00 PM and spoke With Mr Richard he,he told me “Your truck is on the shop right now,you wil receive the estimate today by e-mail,,call again about 7:00 PM the answer was. Yuowiil receive the estimate in the morning. Call again at 10:00AM next morning and same answer from Mr Richard.I ‘ll call you back before noon with estimate. My decision was to go get my truck back,when I arrived Mr. Richard told me that my estimate was ready and gave me to sign an estimate for a truck that was not mine then he told me that I had to wait about 20 minutes after 20 minutes I returned to the office Mr. Patrick was busy and Mr. Richard with a very bad attitude told me that I had to wait, I explained that if they were two days to give an estimate then the repair would take much longer and I was not going to do it there so I want to pay the estimate I picked up my truck and I will not return to that place, I believe I was waiting more than one hour just waiting for Paperwork

What a professional work they do my 2019 freightliner got DAF problem and checked with more than four servers shops no one was able to fix it and that was the only place at JAX that everyone recommended and they were able to fix the issue glad truck was still under freightliner warranty

I have bought many parts here over the years with no issues. I needed the Body Shop due to a deer hitting me. I DO NOT recommend using the Body Shop. Danielle is absolutely horrible at her job. She will totally forget about you and leave you hangin. The first week my truck was there nothing was done at all. No paperwork or estimate was drawn up for the insurance. Not until I showed up enquiring about my truck status was something done. Miraculously 3 hours after I enquirer about it I had a estimate to submit to my insurance. Currently my truck has been at the Body Shop for 29 days now.
Zero stars!11 days to fix a coolant leak, B service and DOT inspection. Called five days in a row only for them to tell me theyd check on something and call me back. They never called me back.Finally went to pick up my truck to discover there where problems they never told me about. Supposedly did a B Service but didnt do any 5th wheel grease.Run!
Ordered a part 3 weeks ago and they shipped the wrong part. After 2 days of calling during business hours I finally got ahold of someone who told be me the correct part was shipped and I will receive by the night. As of now I still have not received my correct order and have been getting the run-around every sense. I also did not receive the partial refund I was told I will receive due to being over charged for shipping of the wrong part.

I would give 0 Stars if I could. As far as Im concerned I will never go there again. I have a Freightliner Columbia and unfortunately I drove the truck about 400 miles with the airbags down. When I inspected the rears I found excessive play in the drive shaft between the front and the rear rear. I called them and they said they could get me right in. They then proceeded to email me an estimate of over $1,200. They wanted to replace things that I knew was not bad. I have been an owner operator for over 20 years and driving for over 30. I know my way around a truck. I told them this was not acceptable and just give me the truck back. They then charged me$238.93 for an assessment fee. Basically to tell me what was wrong with the truck. And I told them what was wrong with the truck when I stepped in their shop. I decided to take my chances because there wasnt that much play in the shaft and I drove the truck up to York Pennsylvania and delivered my load. I then went to a local shop up there. They found that the bearings were not bad in the rear... Which I thought they were... And that only the nuts had come loose. Total bill for all trans of York PA... $97.31. in this day and age of the government shutdown and it hurting the little guy... we need to support the little guy. And certainly the shop up in York did right by me.

Just sat on hold for 16 minutes with the parts department only to have them pick up and hang up on me without saying a word. Called back and got put back into a queue with an estimated wait time of 20 minutes. Absolutely wild.
Ok so my ac died on me in middle of the night this place on university st the service manager there a mean looking old man was true to his word got there checked in 2hrs later back on the road fast professional service decent price would definitely recommend this place for repairs even have a decent driver lounge plenty of food places next door mechanics are awesome. 2 thumbs up!

DO NOT GO HERE!! Avoid at all costs. If I could give zero stars I would. Just got truck out of shop a few days ago. Paid $10K to get out. First load since leaving shop, check engine light pops on. Mind you this light was on when truck went in initially. They are now charging another $700+ to correct it, and over $500 is labor. In total I paid over $6k in labor alone. They will send one estimate and then something else will be wrong and then another and another. Can’t help but think they are getting over. If they had better customer service they would have at least tried to discount the second issue since they ignored it initially. Done with this place.

I brought in a 2019 volvo to get the road speed turned up and idle shut down thing turned off so my truck would stop shutting off on its own this place dose amazing and are very quick at their job everyone i spoke with was very polite and considerate will use them again
Not happy with the time of service should be better i deal with a dealership in New York thats so way better at lease I would have had a Diagnosis with in two hours and a estimate.

On April 23-2021 I bought used transmission with oil and they tried to sell me a bad clutch in open box has a lot of rust I didn’t take it so they order another one and they said it takes a week then when I went to mechanic he found the transmission in bad condition so I have a 40 days return warranty then when I take it back to them the guy name Ryan said I’ll charge a $200 for restock so what about warranty????
I had an issue with my Intransit pump, the problem was located and part ordered. Also told me had a recall on my truck. Had to say Patrick in service kept me informed and update, even suggested a great restaurant to eat at in local walking distance. The customer service was excellent and even gave me a ride to the hotel and back to the shop. Would have been in and out if it was not for the part needed. They are busy but seem fast and the on point.
Recently visited, and met parts person Rick Sutton, and let me tell you he knows how to conduct business!! He took his time to make sure he got me what i was looking for, at the best price, and when he said he would call me, he did and im impressed with that service.

Always service with a smile and the price is fair and reasonable. For me the location is far . Coming from the ocala area. But well worth the trip . About 5 years ago I met the owner he was so cordial that he even took me to lunch to a Greek pizza place. Tell your friends this is the place for your peterbilt and more .

Have the part I needed but dealing with cashier is impossible. Didn’t remember quoted price, couldn’t pay over phone and had to go up there, seemed like they didn’t trust my check kept me here 10 minutes, called the bank, just a lot of wasted time when I’m trying to run a business. Got a credit card form to hopefully prevent this in the future but wow, glad I didn’t send my tech and make him deal with their slow service. Only reason I’m using them today is because part is in stock.

A total rip off my husband took his truck to get the map senor replaced. He charged over $1100 just for that.. fine.... He also wanted to get a to get a refrigerator we already had installed in the truck we were quoted a price for installation of $93 an hour and I was told that it wouldnt take over 2 hours to do. got a phone 5 hours later saying that the refrigerant install without problem and we can come and pick it up asked for a price of that they told me the frigerator just to install it came up to $500 which is ridiculous to just install a fridge like I would never use Tom nehl in Jacksonville ever again. I doubted using them just because from their reviews but being that they were not even a block away from where we live that it would be you know fine but never again you guys are a total rip-off and a scam during covid-19 and you should be ashamed of yourself

I had some quality issues with the service performed on my motor coach that needed to be addressed by management. I was able to speak with Brandon who saw me without an appointment. He spent time listening to my feedback and was genuinely open to suggestions on how to address my concerns. He said the magic words what can I do to make it right? which was music to my ears. Im also in the service industry so I truly appreciated his willingness to make me a happy customer. He did just that! Organizations arent perfect but as long as theyre willing to do the right thing to satisfy a customer, theyll develop loyal customers forever. Thanks Brandon, youre a class act! BTW, Jerry was a joy to talk to when I was waiting for Brandon to break away.

What few issues Ive had with the truck were addressed with quick dispatch and zero issues. Im glad to do business with herb and his friends at select truck. $1800.00 To change out a starter and adjust a setting in the computer and 4 days with no income.$800 for the new starter to be replaced and $1000.00 to fix my Jake brake. The Jake brake was not fixed and the wires on the starter had to be fixed in Texarkana at the Flying J.I hope this was helpful for anyone on the fence about this place.
I tryed to buy a new 860 volvo and i talked to sales person and he said the main guy is on vocation he will be back in few days and he will contact me. He never did i tryed calling again no one answerd, i guess they didnt want my business for some reason i just bought a new 860 from M K in michigan. I will never ever try to buy a truck from tom nehl again. 5 stars for the parts department.

Do not take your Truck to Tom Nehl Freightliner for egr repair. The techs only follow computer and just replace parts until they figure it out. Before you know it your bill is in the thousands and you own the parts. After 12 days and 8k and new SCR I got my truck back only to return a few days later for a faulty def doser.

First let me say that I never write reviews. However I feel obligated in the case of Tom Nehl Trucking to let everyone know about my experience there today. It was truly outstanding in every way.! I am by nature the type of guy who wants to stay on top of things and know whats going on every step of the way. They were very busy, but everyone I encountered was exceptional in the way they responded to my questions and concerns. Johnny at the service desk was covered up all day checking in vehicles for service and dealing with other folks, but he always took the time to address my questions and get answers from other departments if necessary.. Everything he said they would do was done. We had to go outside of the dealership to get the needed part, and Johnny, in conjunction with the parts department, got the part in. Steve, the service tech, found the problem with the vehicle quickly and installed the part with no time wasted. He even washed my engine, which was filthy. The added bonus was they charged me fairly, without any padding.These guys are old school, performing their jobs with pride and making friends along the way. Thanks guys.
Its basically like any other Dealership. This location is an extremely busy location. Their labor rate is a bit high, turnover time is a bit slow. You would figure with a labor rate of $135+ an hour, they could turn over the repairs a bit faster. The staff at all the sections (Service/Parts/Body Shop) are extremely friendly and helpful. They do what they can to satisfy their customers. If it wasnt for such a high labor rate and slow turnover, this would for sure be my go to spot for all my repairs and parts.
