The past few times I’ve been in there there have been customers giving them attitude because you guys didn’t buy all their stuff and they handled it more professionally than I would. I dont know how a business actually hires people like the ones I met today. The women there are so rude. Plain faced, not even a smile or a hello when they clear as day see you when you walk in. It was my first time there, and they didnt ask me if I needed any help or let me know anything about what they store was offering. Hopefully, this business in the future can hire some nice people for a change.

We visited this store during vacation and its so cute and organized. They even have sensory friendly days!!!! Great selection of kids clothing, shoes and toys. The cashier was helpful and courteous. Highly recommend.

Its just ok. Like some have said the staff is friendly depending on who is working there. They do seem to have a good selection. You gotta be careful what you pick as they do have very badly stained stuff on the racks. And again depending on whose working at the time they are kinda lazy. I brought a box of clothes in recently and I know for a fact they only went through half of it because I had to roll things up to get everything in the only box I have since apparently bags arent allowed. Ill just save next round of clothes for the riverside store and try them.

Good luck getting even a smile from the people that work there. I tried to sell 4 of my daughters things and they had an excuse not wanting to buy any of them. I wouldve taken my things back but I had borrowed a car to take them there in the first place. Now unfortunately they are going take advantage of the things that I had no choice but to leave them there and overprice them to other people. Horrible attitudes and plain rude. They deserve to get fired for their attitude.

The employees at this location should pay closer attention to who is within earshot of their personal conversations. Saying rude and hurtful things about customers and those donating their cherished children’s clothing can be incredibly harmful to their business. There has never been a time where we have entered this store and NOT overheard employees loudly and inappropriately joking about patrons. I don’t recommend selling or buying from here unless you have no other option.

Just a few of the many many many clothing items i have bought for my daughter since her birth about 5 years ago. The items are in great shape, though if your not careful you might get an item with a hardly noticable stain or broken stitch. that is a rule for all clothing stores however. The staff is friendly and helpful, and can be chatty while they are doing thier own tasks. The parking is on a shared lots with the rest of the plaza, no covering. The toys are hit and miss with the amount of wear it has. I have never bothered with shoes that are not new personally.

I stopped by on Veterans day late afternoon and was told that the military discount of 10% was doubled that day to honor Veterans. When I heard that news I did a lot more shopping. At the end of the day the sweet ladies did not kick me out but instead were patient and even stayed past closing to check me out. I have always got great bargains for all of my grand children and will continue to do so. Thanks ladies Judy

I decided to clean out my daughters closet due to her growth spirt. I usually donate to people I know but since everyone’s children have grown, I decided to donate her pieces, majority unworn with tags to once upon a child off blanding. I called on Saturday to get the details and dropped them off on Sunday. I brought a container filled with clothes. When I returned they took out maybe 10 pieces and offered $30. I looked through every piece the day before and if you know me then you know I have never gave or worn dirty or stained clothes and that was the excuse that they provided. I’m writing this review because I’m going through the clothes because they told me that some of the smalls were considered adults and I should donate to Plato’s Closet. I notice that they did not look through the entire bin! So the excuse they gave of used and stained items was bogus! I won’t return to this store and I suggest you don’t either. This is a clear sign of laziness!

People who work here have no manners. Not even a hello when you walk in. Rude and lazy. They shouldnt even work in a childrens store with those attitudes. Sad excuse of employees. Dont shop here.

Dont sell. Dont trust.I do not recommend selling to them unless you stand right there, take pictures and count how many items and of what you give to them. Went there to sell a bunch of name brand kids clothes and shoes, three new boys 3 piece suits (tags still on them), and a girls new Sunday dress. When they texted me to come back, they said that they would only buy two of the boys suits, girls Sunday dress and two Nike sandals for $22.00. I said no, then I asked where was the other suit . Since it was not in the bag. They acted like I never had it. Totally lost my trust and dont know what else they stole. If you think it over, for the five items they were willing to buy, for $22.00. They can sell each item for $10-15 or more apiece. That is a 125-150% mark-up on those items. It would be better selling those items yourself.

I really enjoyed this place when purchasing my daughters ballet outfit and shoes. The price was def reasonable since these items cost a lot more brand new. But when i was looking around to purchase regular clothing, i noticed clothing pieces that I have once purchased brand new at stores literally priced at the at the same rate. Jeans for 10 bucks? Children’s Place sell jeans at 6 bucks right now. Like I said, there are pieces of clothing and Items worth looking into but most of the garments are pricey having been used.

I personally didn’t like this place. I brought 3 garbage bags full of baby clothes. I had newborn, 0-3 months, and some 3-6 Month clothes. They were all in pretty good shape. There were some clothes that has stains or were a little worn out which I know they couldn’t take. But I also had clothes that were brand new or only worn once and they only paid me $34. I got 95% of my child’s clothes back. I went on a Saturday and I’m pretty sure whoever took a look at the clothes just didn’t feel like sorting through all my stuff. I probably won’t be coming back.

5 employees, no communication with me. I’m a new customer have no idea what I am doing. No acknowledgement from anyone. No face mask whatsoever from employees. Rude and stuck up when I try to interact with employees. Do NOT recommend.

Grab bag was just what I needed, came in this evening for my baby girl & the crew was more than helpful! Cheerful and thorough and a breath of fresh air in customer service. I don’t see it enough anymore. Caitlin & Taylor were amazing with helping me find what I needed and with filling my bag and everyone else was just as sweet. Definitely coming back soon enough. The Other day my items were basically all given back. I was so upset but then the store manager Angela went through each piece one by one and showed me why they were given back and she was so pleasant about it. She wasn’t rushing or annoyed that I questioned the staff. That right there is true customer service. Now I know what to look for when going through the kiddos closets. Will be back!!

Absolutely the worst place to sell kids clothes!!! I took about $500 worth of brand new Gap boys clothes here and they bought $6.00 worth of clothes that were worn, and sent the rest of the new clothes back with me. This is the 2nd time Ive been here and will NEVER be buying or selling here again. Save your time and Gas Money do NOT sell here.

I Walked in today and I did not get greeted or asked did I need any help since the store has been rearranged. A few moments later another black lady walked in and I noticed as I’m about to check out no one greeted her either, so as I’m leaving a white lady walks in and 2 employees greeted her. WOW I never experienced this before, I will not be returning to this location.

Yesterday I came into this location and the Manager Anglina was so understanding. I had 5 packs of diapers and she rushed my order through so I didn’t have to wait. I didn’t get exactly what I wanted for them but she explained the process thoroughly. I also told her about my past experience from Sunday that was horrible and she had me bring my items back in and went through them herself and she bought items when before it was all not even looked through. Will come back just because the respect she gave me as a person and not just a customer.

I have been an Once Upon A Child shopper for a long time now. The staff has always been pleasant, friendly and very helpful! Yes, they can be particular when it comes to buying back clothes, dont expect to hit the mother load on clothing. Heres a tip: you can receive more money if you combine clothing with books, games, shoes furniture and decorations. I always find cute clothes for my daughter & son. Im very particular about their clothing, so its a plus whenever I find name brand items way below full price! A great place to go when they have seasonal sales, they let you use coupons and rewards for deeper discounts!

I have had great experiences both buying and selling at this location.Buying: I bought my 9 year old daughter 5 tops/4 bottoms 7/9 of the items were Justice brand and I paid around $36.Selling: I made over $125 selling 2 bins of clothes and swing to this location. I freshly washed and dried all my items, inspected them for any stains, loose strings, rip/tears or missing buttons and then laid them flat in a bin. Both bins were full to the top and they only gave back about 10 items. I only put the best of my stuff in there and 90% was name brand. I was very happy with my experience.Also the owner, who is often in the store, is such a sweet heart. Shes so nice and upbeat and very helpful. I will definitely be shopping/selling here again!

Went for the first time yesterday to sell and buy stuff. They were really busy so there was a wait for them to go through it so I said Id come back the next day. They got it done quicker than they originally stated. I came back the next day and It was a good process. I got a good deal on my stuff I sold and bought some stuff as well. Tiffany was so sweet and helpful explaining things since this was my first time selling and buying there. She interacted with my daughter and my daughter even said how nice she was. I will be back because of her!

I just wanted to say Ive never had any issues at this location. Great group of people who work here. Im coming in for the tax free weekend. Im also recommending this place to my friend whos due in one week. Ive been coming here since 2014, love it love it love it.

I love this place and has helped support me through my 2 kids, financially. I got toys, clothes shoes, and worthwhile baby gear like a swing, nap rocker and baby carriers which are super expensive retail cost. I love the fact that I can try them on which is difficult to do at other retail stores.

I was in yesterday, my second time selling and it was a wonderful experience. Staff was nice and welcoming. I got a Gymboree set for under $10.00 matching and I felt that was a wonderful deal. Place smells nice. Just wish it was closer to me. I went to the 1.00 sale they had when I first relocated up here a few weeks ago and it was organized:) Will make the drive when I have more stuff to sell or when I need to buy for the kiddos!

One I can find clothes or shoes in my child size so that a plus. Downside OUAC act like they sell brand new things Ive seen stuff that was from in good shape to how it get in the storeOnly problem I have with them is the long wait times for selling item and to only pass on things that have nothing wrong with them. Remember you guys are only a step up from Goodwill.

I didn’t have much success selling to this place. Jasmine, however, is incredible. She helped me so much even when I took my items back. She carried them out for me, disassembled my bassinet and made it fit in my car. She was absolutely wonderful.

Ive been going to Once Upon a Child stores for years since my children were little. This one in Jacksonville is overpriced! All their jeans are $8.50 per item. Doesnt matter what the name brand is. I used to be able to purchase so much for my kiddos at great prices, but NOT at this location. And they dont scrutinize what they sell. I showed them as I checked out that the jeans they were selling me currently cost more than the online price of same brand jeans. 🙄 They said they couldnt compete with store sales!

This store is absolutely unacceptable. One woman had me wait around for 2 hours only to tell me they had to pass on the items that 2 hours prior she had said were going to be purchased. The staff is terrible speaking about things that shouldnt be discussed in the work place. I read the reviews myself & took a leap of faith. I am telling you DO NOT DO IT!!! They rip people off! Moon babies is much more accurate than this place!

Always walk out with something!! Great prices on used and new childrens toy, clothes and necessities! Plus a reward system too, extra points if you bring your own bag.

Huge selection on everything from rockers and swings to toys and a massive clothes area. Unbeatable prices for some top end stuff. Now they are a little strict on what they buy, cant blame them though. Its baby and little kid stuff! Will continue to go back for a long while

They do not give you anything for your items, I took in about $400 worth of new baby items that my heart baby could not use and they offered $43. I waited about 45 minutes to have the items appraised only to find they appraised them in 5 minutes, but didnt tell me in hopes I would blow the whopping $43 on the junk they had on the store - our items were BRAND NEW! Save yourself the aggravation - donate your stuff - you will feel better about it after!

Ive been to many of these type places through out the years, and this is by far one of the best. My wife and I have 4 kids and thus recycle through clothes and toys. We received good money back and this store has a great selection to choose from. We will definitely go back.

I would give zero stars if possible, brought 2 pairs of Jordan’s various onesies and other items. Waited for over 3 hours with 2 month old twins in the car. After all this time I was paid $5. For a first visit the service was unacceptable. I would recommend privately selling items to get the money they are worth, you won’t receive it here. Will not be back!

Love this once upon a child, I live in Arlington but make the drive to come here. Ive sold a bunch of clothes here as well as bought a bunch of clothes here! Theyre awesome, gotta say yall have the best mannered staff. Thanks for always being so great!!!!

Thre Owner cares about her customers. I will give her my business. Its hard to run a retail business selling gently used items, especially when there are so many entitled, rude people thinking theyre going to get paid retail for the items theyre bringing in! I am sad at these comments towards this honest business! The comment about the lady talking too much was so hateful!! Ill be sure to bring them MY business and I hope these hateful sourpusses reconsider their mean reviews, this is someones livelihood here. Its not wise to bash a company in that way. Keep up the good work and keep smiling!

They buy stuff for dirt cheap and sell at a higher price and then they claim they call you to remind you about your items and I have receive NOT 1 CALL from them and donated my items for all I know its probably on the shelf. I will definitely NOT be returning Id rather go cross the bridge to Kid2Kid.

Brought two full tote bags and a full laundry basket of stuff. Much of it was name brand stuff and most in great condition. Included a nice winter jacket for soon to come cold weather and 8 beautiful fancy dresses which would be great for upcoming holiday get together. All total about 100 pieces! What they bought was a handful of jeans and a couple shirts. 7 items total for a whole $12.10. Absurd!Then when I asked for an itemized list of what was bought and for how much (before being cashed out) the girl ignored my request and cashed the sale out and then claimed that the itemized list could not be printed after the buy was cashed out!Complete waste of time and I seriously suspect that some items were taken and not paid for. Never again!

Never again.I am going back to The mandarin store. The ladies there are so much friendlier and faster. I have never been treated unfairly like I was at op. You ladies really need to work on your customer service skill. Get a manager or something. So unorganized.

This place was absolutely horrible! Not clean, not organized, and if you take $400 worth of clothing, and toys there, in MINT condition, they will only offer you $23.07! TRUE STORY! I would recommend googling other places that buy childrens clothing! This place is not worth it!

Came in twice with a $350 stroller. It had staining. So they didnt take it. Told me to clean it and they would take it. And by the looks of the other one outside. I was like ok.So cleaned it came back with stroller and like 15 clothing items most with tags still on them. They bought $2.50 cent of the items ( the two worst garments)to make it seem like they tried. The vibe I got from the store is the pre judged me, like I was bringing stolen items in there. Maybe it was the dreads.

My experience here today was excellent. I found nice stuff and stuff that i came looking for. also the staff was very friendly!

I will donate my children’s clothing before I ever sell to this store again. I brung in a LOT of clothing. Over half of the stuff still had tags on them. I have came to this location for years and now I will not go to this location ever again. The past two time I’ve gone in this location there is an older woman who is around my age who is just so slow and she will not stop talking to me and others loudly. VERY OBNOXIOUS. The last time I was in she barely let me out the door going on and on. Her customer service is horrible. Doesn’t know the answer to any questions had to ask everyone yet doesn’t stop harassing you.

Great place to get clothes for children. They didnt have many pants besides jeans. The isles are so narrow that it isnt practical for a wheelchair.

This place sucks. I took my grandbabies bouncer there to sell . They made up a whole story that my bouncer was recalled 6 months ago. That means walmart sold me a recalled item. Which walmart doesnt do that. I am very upset with this place. They wouldnt even print me the recalled list to show me. Made me look like a fool when I went to walmart to see if I would get a refund. And the biggest thing is my grand son could of got hurt. Very very bad customer service will never shop there .

We came into the store not knowing they were about to close. We are expecting a baby boy and thought it would be a good place to go get some onesies. Well we walked in and they greeted us which was good but we were in there for like 10 min and were obviously in the middle of picking the 10 for 10 onesies and the lady walked up and said were closing you can come pay for everything you have. For one if youre retail you DONT rush people. Ive worked at Goodwill and a couple more places. We had to wait for an hour for someone to get finished before. For two everything was still outside. They could not wait 5 min for us to finish picking out our onesies??? I told my husband put it down were leaving quite loud because I was genuinely upset with this experience. I wanted to go shopping for the first time for my baby boy. Needless to say we will not be going back EVER.

Personally, I prefer the Manadrin location but since I am on this side of the bridge I occasionally go to this OUAC since pregnancy. 1. Definitely dirtier than the Manadrin location. 2. Theres plenty of nice employees, but they must have just changed their hours because I recently tried to walk in at 5:20 and was brushed away by a very rude employee who was unapologetic nor did she explain the hours have changed, just that theyre closed and walked back inside.

I waited 30 mins with my wife for them to look through brand new outfits my baby never got to wear. All recent, in style and with tags....they offered my wife $27 for about 10 new outfits and 4 gently used. Very insulting to waste time, especially when they will turn around and price the new ones at $12-15 each. I know that is how a store makes money but that is def low balling. Do not waste your time, a lot of the things here were in gross condition. They had a Cosco highchair with food stains for $30, next door Burlington Coat Factory had the same one, brand new in box for $19.99. We didnt sell or buy from them and will never return.

Most of the time I go in they are so incredible. Give me a good price for my things and what they dont take I donate. One of the staff memebers this time was so nasty and giving dirty looks to everyone.This last time they gave me a horrible price for barely used things. I actually would of minded but they didnt even take the clothes I had bought from them a month or 2 before that had never been worn. Wth? Doesnt make sense. Thwy said it depends on the persons whos going rheu it. I find things with huge stains on them. Idk that will b the last time I go back.
