This is the best store! They always have just what I need. Today I found 5 perfect dresses for fall. Three of them still had original tags on: Abercrombie and Fitch, Lucky Brand and Old Navy. All 5 dresses for only $70. The customer service is great too. All of the employees are helpful and friendly.

Everyone is super nice and helpful. Store is very clean and neat! I had a very successful shopping trip and they took a good amount of my clothes that I sold. Way better than platos as far as getting your money’s worth for your gently used clothing.

Every time I visit it’s pleasant. All the women who work there are very friendly and helpful. I don’t even bother with Plato’s closet if I want to sell anymore. Uptown cheapskate gives customers more incentive to shop and sell with them.

I absolutely love this store and everyone in it is awesome and helpful. All of my clothes are from there including this cute skirt! I love trading in my clothes for cuter ones when I need to spice up my wardrobe. I appreciate that they are so active on Instagram. Their daily posts on new finds are usually what get me into the store to be honest.

This is my absolute favorite place to shop, and the best resale retail store I have ever been to. The owner is a doll, and she will do anything to help her customers. Her team is exceptional, and there are so many that have helped me, but one girl with lime green hair is my favorite. I love her funky style, and she always remembers me when I come in. It makes me feel special. This place is such a treasure I almost didn’t want to leave a review, because I selfishly want it all to myself. (Insert Ursula laugh here.)

I sold a lot of free people stuff and got less than $3 an item for each. Even for items less than 4 months old and “25% of current retail price” listed on their website for these items already along with notice that they would pay more for this brand. That was the only real reason I decided to sell here. For mass produced stuff sell here, but save your nicer items for Facebook marketplace. I needed the money so didn’t have the time to be picky, but in the future I will avoid selling my nicer items here. Cynthia and the staff were lovely, and this is all done based off a computer system that calculates an items worth, so I understand the margins! Just disappointed.

Been visiting this store since its opening, the employees are always so helpful and welcoming.The only suggestion I can make is to carry more womens business/business casual clothing (button downs, more blazers, etc.)

Uptown Cheapskate is a great place to shop. The store is very organized and clean. The staff is great and friendly. If you want a variety of original pieces that you wont see everyone in this is your place to shop. They have a selection for men and women. I love shopping here, I think you will too!

They have a massive selection of clothing and accessories, and all of it is considerably cheaper than you’d find it anywhere else. Went there recently and found a pair or brand new Vans that retail for $55, got them for $30 here! Staff is wonderful and attentive as well, couldn’t ask for anything better.

I have both sold and purchased from here and each time has been such a great experience. Clean, organized, great selection and every associate I encountered was so kind an helpful. Highly recommend!

Had such a good experience here!! I’ve been to all the platos in the area and unfortunately the employees are always sooo rude to me!! It’s like they hire the kids with the biggest attitudes. But I had the complete opposite experience at uptown cheapskate today!! Customer service was incredible! There was a girl named Jessica who didn’t make me feel uncomfortable when I had to go back to unlock the fitting room multiple times in order to buy bigger sizes. She was very nice about it!! Then there was another girl—didn’t catch her name—but she was African American I think. Anyway, she was also supppeer nice and helped me in the shorts section. Great customer service and great clothes, I’ll be coming back!

I’ve shopped and sold here For over 2 years with no problem, the last two times I’ve sent my husband in to sell items. The first time he was simply told they couldn’t take anything, and the second time the worker who was checking the clothes gave him a nasty look and told him they couldn’t take any because they smelled like smoke. WE DON’T EVEN SMOKE! We went to Plato’s Closet and they took almost everything..

I e loved uptown for years when I lived in North Carolina, and I love this one too! Everyone is so friendly and they have great stuff! And I also feel like they always buy at least a few things from you every time you sell to them. Definitely recommend!

I went two weeks ago and found an adorable pair of shoes-pink/white roses in flat gladiator style, never worn. Then I saw a soft black leather jacket in a suit-style. I took home and wrapped and placed them under the Christmas tree. What a great haul for 20 min. of shopping and $25.00!

Great place to shop, prices are hard to beat and so so many cute things. I got here at 730 pm and noone rushed me, while in the fitting room. It is now almost 9 pm.

Found this TREASURE and honey hole on a whim. Had just come from the doctor and needed shopping therapy. OMG...what a find! I grew up in Southern Cali and shopping is my ancestry. To find this gem in Jacksonville was a gift AND it was my birthday month so I received a huge discount. This shoppe has top notch, trendy, edgy, funky, adorbs previously loved fashion and accessories at such a reasonable price. This is not thrift store quality ladies this is top level affordable finds. The owner is lovely and so is her staff! Go there soon!
