I recently visited here with my 4 year old, as I had been told they have an amazing section of kids glasses and he had very specific requirements for his glasses (blue and orange 😂). Ruth Ann was the first person to ever correctly fit my child for glasses. The glasses he really wanted did not fit his nose bridge at all. She went above and beyond and ordered a pair that fit him in the colors he was demanding. They arrived, price was great and customer service was amazing. Highly recommend this place!

I’ve worn Silhouette frames for 25 years and came in to replace a broken arm. I was told the arm couldn’t be replaced. I went to Advanced Eye Care and Optical who made one phone call and ordered the arm which was in stock. Bob Ham is probably a great place for new glasses but repair and customer service not so much

We travelled from Hawaii to Florida to get our glasses from Bob Ham Eyewear. Bob and Bobby Ham are the BEST! They truly are experts for kids’ glasses. They take their time and make sure you get a great fit. Their office staff is very professional and easy to work with! Even in the midst of Tropical Storm Elsa they had our glasses ready in a timely manner. I frequently recommend this store to friends and will continue to do so.

Dr. Sheila Merritt is great! I wear contact lenses and my prescription is a little difficult however she was able to help me with no problem. I ordered my contacts at Bob Ham and Mercedes took care of the order for me. Mercedes also helped me with the Alcon rebate and she helped me with the purchase of Costa Sunglasses. Dr. Merritt and Mercedes were wonderful and provided world class service for me, they are the best!

Had an AMAZING experience. Im blind as can be (and have been for years) - but my experience here was incredibly professional and detailed. They didnt just fill my prescription, but they made sure the frames I chose would be appropriate for the new prescription I had. They measured how the frames/lenses would fit my eyes and even instructed me on how to utilize my new prescription so I adapted as quickly as possible. (I went from mono-focal lenses to tri-focal lenses!) My experience was fabulous - and I even came back in to get another pair of glasses (because Im vain and love my glasses!) and rather than just easily fill the new prescription, the new lenses were also measured. They didnt try to see me on the highest price for the second pair but asked what I would be using them for (primary or back-up) and made recommendations accordingly.I was absolutely impressed with their service, quality and education. And their prices are ABSOLUTELY comparable to anything Ive seen in Jacksonville (and I have been in glasses for 32 years!)Thank you, Bob Ham! I had a great experience and will be back over and over!

These guys are awesome. I cant believe the extensive collection of sunglasses that they have in here. They have more Maui Jims sunglasses than I see in the traditional sunglass places in the mall. They also made sunglasses for my son and his zubug glasses and they have the best prices in town. Youd be crazy not to come here and at least price check what they want. Its always good to come in and meet the owner of the store. This is not a corporate owned company. This is a local Jacksonville business.

Great place to get your eye exam and your glasses! Ive had no issues with this place since I started going here in 2010 for my annual eye exams. They also complete contact lens fittings here too.

Have been a client for years. Have had the best service. But the last time I was in for a minor repair of my glasses, I never had a chance to address my other issues with the item. Handed them over expecting to actually talk with someone and maybe have them cleaned and adjusted while I was there. But they brought them back with the issue resolved but nose pads still filthy and never had anyone see if they still fit well. Kind of disappointed. Felt like Bob was having a bad day or as if maybe I had asked for too much.

I went for an exam and to get new glasses. There is a great selection of frames to choose from, and prices are reasonable. The customer service is excellent! Everyone is very friendly and extremely helpful.

Greatly exceeded my expectations. If it were an option I would give many more stars. The staff is most courteous and accomadating. They willingly remade my glasses, even though my prescription which was obtained elsewhere was incorrect. A fact discovered after Dr. Merrit gave me a second exam. I have a difficult exam and prescription do to a stroke. Everything was thoroughly taken into account and immediately taken care of. I have never in over 40 years of wearing glasses benn so satisfied overall.

Very helpful in finding solutions to my husbands rather rare vision issues. He needed prism glasses and they were able to have them ready quickly and were informative about that.

These people are real crooks. They call themselves eyeglass repair but they are not. They told me i needed to replace my frames. I went to an eyeglass store and had them replaced at a fraction of the cost. These people are professional opticians. They knew exactly what they were doing. And ive heard the boss tells the employees to do that.

Recently re-visited Bob Hams when I scratched my lens on my glasses. Too deep to repair, sent in for replacement on a Friday, had it back on the following Tuesday morning. Great service. Cleaned up my glasses as well.

Almost two years ago we learned that our one year old child not only needed glasses but was going to require a strong prescription. I wasnt sure where to turn but I was warned that finding the frames that the ophthalmologist was recommending were hard to find. A family friend recommended Bob Ham. Not only did they carry the frames that the doctor wanted for my child but they had an even larger selection of frames for kids and adults (find a large variety of childrens frames is not easy). There is service is impeccable and they have worked with me so many times because my child is not easy on the glasses. Weve had to replace lost frames, scratched lenses, and anything else my child can do. They are always available when I need them and have even stayed open a couple of extra minutes when I was stuck in traffic. I would recommend Bob Ham to anyone!
