Wonderful place to take an exam, purchase glasses and contacts. Very professional staff all around. And amazing customer service.

My appointment was scheduled for 45 minutes ago and I’m currently still waiting in there cramped and smelly waiting area. 2 people who arrived after me have been taken back. After 30 minutes of waiting I asked how much longer the wait would be, and the wonderful woman’s response was when the person in the room before you is done. Might be an alright place to buy glasses, but do yourself a favor and avoid getting an eye exam here at all costs. A total lack of respect, customer service and cleanliness.

I recently had an A+ experience with Dr. Grace at this location and must say she was the most customer focused, fully informational medical professional I have ever been to. She made you feel as if she has known you for years and she cared about you being there. The lady that helped me with my glasses, though her name eludes me, I believe she was the office manager, was great as well. If I had to give any constructive criticism, it would be for the front end staff to just pick up their game regarding their dress code. Though very nice, to keep up with the level of service that Dr Grace and the office manager provided, a little dress up would continue the great experience all around. Overall an amazing experience though. Thanks!!!

Update:Not happy with our experience at all. I called and set an appointment for 2:20pm. Went in picked out frames as we had a prescription from this doctor from last year. We sat with Paul who started our billing and lense processing.At first he was unable to find our insurance, then he couldnt find me as a dependent...after figuring out quite a few things for us and really going down the ole insurance rabbit hole. The pricing seemed off...way off in comparison to what we paid last year.We decided to walk away and investigate to ensure that our insurance plan was the same as last year (where everything was covered and we only had to pay our co-pay.) Thank you Paul for helping us as best you could!Office manager, Rachel is still at this location, she not only kept blaming our insurance for each issue Paul ran into (Paul tried anyway and went the extra mile to understand and fix any errors)Rachel also accused the employee that helped us check out last year stating in front of us that it was probably an error. I would never accuse someone let alone a former employee especially when they arent their to defend themselves or their actions AND she did this in front of us (customers!).I remember that the former employee triple checked her work diligently because the final amount was a red flag and I clearly remember office manager (Rachel) coming over to double check the numbers the computer threw out and approved it in front of us.Its a shame you have a decent selection of frames/good doctors/nice staff but an awful office manager. 🙂 Yall might want to look into that.----My husband and I booked early morning (10/05/2019) appointments knowing how long and busy it can get at Optical Stores. Setting an appointment was difficult as Rachel told me shed call me back once my insurance was authorized but she never did.I called back in (after 6 days) she mentioned having a hard time with insurance (its a national vision plan and it is a very good plan too...so I am not sure what she was on about?) Husband had Dr Dorado and I had Dr Lennon. My husband had to have his eyes dilated and I opted not to. Picked out two pairs each.Armani, our CSR was very helpful, even though the DOS based systems are as slow as snails bait. Our insurance covered single vision high index lenses plus frames up to $200 by a 100% so we only had to pay our co-pay (a very small amount).Overall a good experience, except office manager, Rachel needs to take a few lessons in customer service. For example, she needs to improve her follow-up skills and general demeanor.I would also recommend that she watch her body language as she is either in a state of crossed arms or glancing at her watch (it was odd that she was constantly checking her watch almost like she was timing contractions? I half expected her to go into labour.)

Went in for a first eye appt at visionworks. Dr was great. The ladies and staff in the lobby was not so great. I am pregnant and wasn’t able to try on glasses or get any help looking at glasses. I am 8 1/2 months pregnant and pulled mask down to see glasses on my face since you can try on glasses to see how they fit and look on your face with mask on. Absolutely no one was round me for more than 8ft. There should be no reason why I can pull mask down with no one around me in 8ft to try glasses on my face. When someone came around I would put mask back on no problem. The ladies did not offer to help me find a pair of glasses. So therefore the store lost out on a sale. I found a few frames I liked but again no help from staff. I came to vision works to find a pair of glasses I liked. The other eye location I normally go to doesn’t have a great selection. Wish this could get resolved so they can take my money and I can get a new pair of glasses.

I walked into buy a pair of glasses and the customer service girl aka “school hall monitor” on 10/22 obnoxiously greeted us as if she was doing us a favor by being in her presence. Her demeanor was so off-putting we left as fast as we came in. The place was empty, might I add. No need for the large display of awkward/cringe-worthy show.

I just wanted to piggy back on kayla burt comment. The doctor at this office was amazing, however the staff in front office was not, as if they could care less for the customer or the sale. After eye exam I decided to buy from Warby Parker instead. my renewal is up and I just dont know if i should return here.

I had the pleasure of speaking with associate Rachel today @ the Town Ctr. Store. I was looking for a particular eye glass frame. After calling 4 different stores in 3 different cities I happened upon Rachel, who after apologizing for my time spent looking offered to do a company wide search. She found the one pair I was looking for a recommend a second pair she thought I might like. I bought both. I get COVID disruption making things more challenging but they are missing some fundamentals around taking care of the customer and it has been one thing after another...1. After my appointment I picked out glasses and was working with one of their associates who did not know how to work the system to enter in my lens information. After 45 minutes of me sitting there and her trying to figure it out, I left as we were no closer to getting them ordered. I came back two weeks later and placed my order.2. I Ordered contacts - 3 weeks later get a call that they are in. I drove 30 minutes to pick them up to learn that they only had my right eye contacts which does me NO good. I am told that they will be in the following week.3. Two weeks later, still NO contacts and they dont know when they will be in nor will they place a call to find out...30 days later, NO contacts. NO apology for having me drive out of my way when they were not available. NO call ever to let me know that my contacts have been delayed. And when I ask them if they can email me my prescription I am told that I have to come pick it up as they dont pay for a secure email application to send email prescriptions -- But they can FAX it... Oh thats right, I got rid of my Fax machine when my palm pilot broke.

Dr. Grace was the best eye doctor experience I’ve ever had. She was thorough, kind, and really took the time to go over my medical history with eclampsia in regards to my vision. The front staff was also so sweet and incredibly helpful, I could not recommend this place more!

I went in this morning and was told they could not verify my insurance. I found that strange because I had just talked to my insurance company the day before to ask some questions about my coverage. One of the ladies said she had called me to let me know. I never received a call nor a voicemail message. I was able to go up the street to another place, and they had no issues locating my insurance coverage. I would not recommend Visionworks at all. This was just bad customer service and a terrible customer experience for me.

In 38 years of glasses wearing this was, by far, the most comprehensive experience I have ever had. From John Lennon who performed my exam to Richard who ordered my lenses and everyone in between, I was impressed with their professionalism, attention to detail and friendly attitudes. At each phase of the process the individual helping me was not only knowledgable in their specific role but also worked with each other to make sure that I received the best service and the perfect glasses for my prescription and face shape. In addition, this was all accomplished in a timely manner despite the fact that it was a Saturday and the place was busy. They were properly staffed and everyone was busy and engaged.

Best place to go to!!!! everyone in the office was nice and helpful. I could not be more happier with my choice of frame and they have many options to choose from. Dr. Foster is very caring and gentle she made me feel very comfortable and the whole process was very short.I received my glasses literally minutes after I was done. Dr. Grace takes time & pays attention to detail! She is soooo amazing. I am confident that what she tells me is truth and not just trying to sell me on something (which she has NEVER done). She listens and takes good notes so nothing is lost and follow up appts are easy - nothing is missed or forgotten.

Erica was Amazing at making sure I felt taken care of with My Glasses Order. She has a natural way of making you feel cared for. Outstanding customer Service, and if she isn’t Already in a leadership Role, I’m not sure what Visionworks is waiting for. Good luck getting anyone to answer the phone. The automated prompts tell you to go online. When you go online it tells you to contact the store. But no one answers and you get the same automated message, with no options for an operator.

I forgot the guys name, but the bald guy that works there with glasses is the master if tinting and frame repair hands down! This is my go to place for anything frame or lens related...

Fast appointments. Everyone was super nice. The eye doc, Dr. Foster sat and explained everything in detail without rushing. Ladies up front took time helping me pick the perfect glasses. This place is it.

Richard Hilliard is fabulous! He knows his job well and is very accommodating. He treats you like you are the only person in the store. I never feel rushed when asking him for assistance. I will highly recommend this store to family and friends.

Not the greatest experience. Super awesome doctor who did my exam and was able to answer all my questions. But the front desk team was very unprofessional. They were all huddled up front chatting and laughing which initially I didn’t care for but it was more of a social event than work for them. What lost my interest was that after my exam I needed to get a new pair of glasses and after searching by myself for the one I wanted, I was told that insurance system was down and that they would give me a call on Monday ( 2 days later) to get everything set up and ready. It’s now Friday ( 6 days later) and I haven’t gotten a call as yet. I called in asking about it and was placed on hold for a long time to get to the retail team. When she finally answered I was told that no one could find any information about the frames that was placed on hold. They kept asking who I spoke with and I couldn’t remember the guy’s name so I was placed on hold again. Then I was told whoever I dealt with was not in and I would have to wait until they came in again. At this point I will gladly go somewhere else and give my business to. To management, maybe get your front end team to stop socializing as much and you wouldn’t have this issue. Hopefully this is resolved immediately because I definitely won’t be back.****UPDATE**** Everything was resolved and I was able to get the original frames I requested. They even got it ready within a matter of hours. I will keep this review up as a reminder to their team that quality work should always be given first not after there’s an issue to be escalated.

Went in today and a very kind Employee by the name Thorne helped me and my son Christian find his new pair of glasses today. Never have I seen a more gracious, helpful and caring person. Hes definitely going to be my go to.

These guys were extremely friendly and helpful from the first visit for my sons replacement baseball glasses. Much better experience than we have had at other places in the past. Highly recommend them for all glasses needs.

I love Dr. Grace!She is very knowledgeable about her profession . She is a good listener and has exceptional listening skills . Her staff is nice. Some of them could improve a few customer service skills. However, they are still professionals and they know what they are doing.

Dr. Grace is amazaing, she helps out on every step of the process and is very easy to talk to. Not only are the doctors amazing but the eye wear selection is great. They are nice about being brutally honest about what styles fit you so if your a first timer buying a frame this is the place to go.

Dr. Grace is fantastic. Friendly and thorough. She’s not the closest optometrist to me, but I don’t mind the drive for the level of service she provides. Similarly the staff for the frame section of Visionworks was equally helpful. Of course, they do try and up sell you options on the lenses. If I wore my glasses more, I’d most likely take them up on that, but since I don’t, I kept my budget intact and walked out spending less than $100 (with Insurance). The good thing is that the level of service and care did not diminish. I felt like I was more than just a customer to swindle out of more money, but a person who just needs to see the world and the small print more clearly.

I came in late on a Sunday right before closing because my frames broke. The manager took his time and helped me out.. on Fathers Day! His two boys were there, Little Big Boss & Medium Big Boss and they were all great to talk too. I highly recommend this location! :D

I havent had glasses in over a few weeks and really needed them. Called Pearl Vision to see if i could get them done immediately. Which they could on most cases but just didnt fit mu schedule. So i called Vision Works, and I must say one of the most outstanding customer service experience for a vision center. Just want to say Emily and her staff were Amazing ! They really pushed for me to have a mew pair of glasses within 30 minutes. Great Job 👏👏

Wonderful experience - The Dr. was fantastic with our grandsons and I have never been able to see better in my life. Our experience with the staff was awesome! Couldnt have been more helpful as I was trying eyeglasses that I was unfamiliar with. They even sent our 15 year old grandson to different facility for frames as he wanted a specific frame which they didnt have at the time. The Dr. was very kind and helpful with kids who have never been for eye exams. Wouldnt go anywhere else.

My first office visit went so smoothly! Both the doctor and staff were very kind, but ever since I have tried to schedule a follow-up appointment, they have been extremely difficult to get into contact with. I was on hold for 20 minutes with no one to pick up my call for scheduling and no voicemessage to leave! This is rediculous and highly unprofessional!

I have no clue who owns this place, but it was my first and last time ever! This was my last resort as it was. Lesson learned. Go to a professional!

Dr. Dorado-Foster was excellent! My problem is with the front office. No one helped me with my frames.Once I found a couple of frames that I thought fit the shape of my face Richard sat down with me to order my lenses. I told him I wanted a regular pair and a pair of sunglasses. He never went over my options, just apparently ordered whatever he thought I should have. I had originally wanted to get the brown tinted sunglasses but I forgot to ask and again, he never gave me any options. When I went to pick up my new glasses I found out that he had charged me for transitions lenses in one pair and the other was clear. I didnt order or ask for transitions I and if I had then why not in both pair of glasses since they are BOGO. I asked for sunglasses. I have had them for a week now and cant stand them. They barely darken at all and my eyes are light sensitive. The other pair is to big for my face and the size distorts my vision. They literally make me feel like Im looking cross eyed. VERY disappointed with my experience here.

I went in, 2/9/19, two female sale associates were there, and one busy man, and no other customers were there actively shopping. No one greeted me or offered to help. The female sales associates did tend to their children coming in however. I ended up leaving and buying 5 pairs of glasses from their competitor a mile away. I even had time to call Lens Crafters from their store before I gave up and walked out. I don’t know if it was that I was dressed casually, but I was there to purchase glasses. If you like shopping and zero service, this is the place for you.

Drive to Orange Park and save your time. They saw my review and said you got here early. Well I brought 2 of my kids, you take one early the other has to wait until after his appointment to be seen........
