Really the only game in town . They have extensive stock. Retired deputy working there gives good and qualified advice. Would like to see them pick up a gunsmith as it is co-located with an auto repair shop.

I didn’t buy a gun but two of my friends did. Very good selection and very competitive prices. Also the customer service there was amazing. Very friendly and makes you feel comfortable. To many times have I gone to shops and they pressure you and try to intimidate you into buying something you don’t want. Didn’t get that feeling once here. Will most definitely be going back to purchase all of my firearms

Ive been a customer there for around 2 years. Bought 3 guns from them and an plate carrier. Friendly service, and they give knowledgeable advice from my specific experience. I only have one slight issue. I bought a kimber custom 1911 and it had a worn out extractor. It was a used gun. Its an easy fix. However i wish they were more concerned that they are selling ready to shoot firearms. My 1911 was dirty, had cheap mags and the bad extractor i already mentioned. It could have more issues but i doubt it. If it has to many issues i will try to return it or trade itnin for equal to or lesser value than what i bought it for, $850. If they honor that i will give them a 5 star rating. If they dont ill keep it the same, i wont lower it because i should have had the sense to ask to break down the firearm and inspect it before buying it. I stress this. Always ask to break down a firearm or have them do it. Dont just buy a used gun without a proper inspection. Ive learned my lesson.

Completely dissatisfied !!! I bought my first gun here and parts for another rifle. well I decided to venture out of my boundaries of knowledge and trust the store that I thought was taking care of me, nope not the case. I was sold ammunition that I was told would work with my firearm, 400 rounds mind you, that I was given a deal on, if a deal is getting steel cased ammo that does not work through your gun!! even more upset that I was told to come back 3 days in a row just to get told it was my gun that was the issue. I understand that ammo cannot be returned, but youd think theyd be willing to work with a customer that spends good money with them, as well as recommends them to others. I asked if they could work with me on new ammo and they quoted me more than my local farm n fleet, lol what a joke ..horrible service. its their way or the highway. sincerely your ex customer

This gun shop is in a great location right off the highway and is set up perfectly for a woman to feel comfortable talking and shopping for her own gun. The owners are amazing and show great respect towards the professional and the novice. I cant believe their prices are so great and their selection is truly the best Ive ever seen! Id give them 10 stars 5 for selection and pricing and 5 stars for personality.

Asked for a price on a specific handgun. Received terrible and aloof customer service from the owner, Big Chris, and havent heard back since.A mechanic should stick it what he does marginally well at best, they are completely incompetent at trying to be a weapons shop.

CTR firearms is the best place to buy firearms and tools you need to protect your family and self great experience awesome people if they dont have it they can order it for you had them order me a convertion barrel for my glock M22 40cal. to shoot 9mm and Stainless Steel recoil gideridespring for my glock M26,M22 and it was super easy just stop in 3 weeks ago I bought a Kimber micro 9 9mm Desert Sand and I also needed a holster for it and they made sure I had the right holster for my new gun and I also can use the holster for both my glocks it was very easy and great service Thank you CTR for everything

I have been shopping at CTR Firearms on and off for around half a year. I have been into the shop numerous times to look at firearms, and to subsequently purchase a few.This is honestly the best LGS (Local gun store) in Janesville. They offer the lowest prices on transfer fees, can run NICS checks with a small fee if not purchasing a firearm, and sell NFA / Class III Firearms and suppressors.They also sell a lot of accessories, magazines, ammunition, reloading equipment, non-lethal defensive alternatives, and holsters.I enjoy this LGS primarily due to lack of bias in handgun (and rifle!) selection. I do not walk in and get choked with Buy a Glock!. Instead, a myriad of firearms are offered, and they are sold to you equally, without any one firearm being forced over others. Finding the right caliber, and a handgun that is most comfortable to the shooter is their priority. They even sell surplus handguns that are good CCWs, or just fun on the range.There is no political bias here either. Some LGSs have political signs blasted on the walls outside, or opinions within the store; both signage and through socialization. Well, Not CTR. I do not hold standard political views one would expect from gun owners, but I am not treated any differently for it, and for me this makes the store environment great.I believe every type of customer is what CTR tries to cater too. Firearms that are tactical style, left handed, colored, etc. are offered here, and a firearm that matches up to someone, even extreme niche, can be found here. I have seen no-one be made treated poorly, regardless of what they want or own. If youre a big dude, and own all pink handguns? Welp, thats alright! CTR Is also very friendly to women shooters, treating them as kindly, and helping them out as much as anyone else.Overall, this is a very nice LGS. From the owners, to the employees, to the customers, everyone is friendly to be around and interact with.The best part is, the CTR Automotive / Vehicle Repair Shop is within the same building. So getting your car fixed, and looking at guns at the same time is a treat!

Its a nice new gun store, they are lacking a little with firearm cleaning supplies, but they are slowly building up the selection, and they will be adding cleaning patches, soon. Just like any other store, if you need something, they can also order it.
