My experience was very good yesterday. I needed a couple of water sediment filters. The store was well stocked and very clean. I did notice in passing on our way to see if they had any Wigwam socks for winter (we didnt find any) that they had plenty of the things people are back buying up and emptying the shelves of like paper products and cleaners.Staff was also very friendly and helpful in getting me to the right place to find the filters I was looking for since the store layout is different than the one in Beloit.

Went shopping for a bathroom vanity before thr 11% rebate runs out Oct 16 . Talked to Jim in the Bath Dept and he answered all questions, spent about an hour dedicated to me and gave me many print outs to bring home. Outstanding customer service! Ill be back for a new kitchen from Menards next! Dan

I really like going to this store! Had to do a little Xmas shopping and this store has probably anything you might need for your home, and then some. I also checked out their holiday decor and they have quite the selection! Was very surprised to see the amount of Christmas stuff they have! Everything I bought seemed to be very reasonably priced too!

Sold us a door they didnt have in stock! And because we paid with a check you cant get a refund for 7 days. I get the ck has to clear. But you should have known it wasnt in stock before you sold it. Will not be going back to janesville menards

Went to pick up supplies for the first time through the “order pick up” outside, well let me say the gate attendant is an absolute a-hole. If menards is ruining your life that bad that you can’t smile or even say hi or heck even nod your head in acknowledgement, quit your job. Because the way you acted made me want to (metaphorically) kill myself, and clearly menards is making you want to die. Guess I’ll stick to home depot from now on, where I can at least be greeted like my business matters to pay your paycheck.

The first thing I was confronted with when I walked in was, “do you have a mask?” It would’ve been nice to have her confront me in a different manner.I was searching for one specific item in the plumbing section, but the only person available in that area was on the phone, but I couldn’t tell if he was on the phone or off because he was using an earpiece... so when he finally did get off the phone and asked what I needed I didn’t know if he was talking to me or not. He was not pleasant. He was not helpful. He had no personality whatsoever.He didn’t even leave the area when I asked him where I could find the item. He just pointed and he said, “they’re over there.”I just left.On my way to Home Depot!

One of the newer and nicer menards around. Very clean, well organized, helpful staff. Ive had a few returns and service desk was helpful and happy. Avoid weekends after 9am, the place is crazy busy, but they open at 6am so get there early and shop in peace. I get a lot of items from the yard and generally its easy to find a fork lift operator to help. I personally prefer Menards over the other big box hardware store down the street.

Good amount of items in stock, fair prices.

This Menards is my favorite location! They open checkouts frequently. Theres always employees around to answer questions and the employees are always so helpful and polite. Stock is maintained and I enjoy shopping both online and in the store.

I prefer the Janesville Menards store. The layout and signage is easy to follow and the displays and selection are better than either Madison store or my most disliked Sun Prairie store.

The man in the plumbing department was very helpful and knowledgeable of where parts were.

I would love to give Menards five stars because it is one of my favorite stores. However, it is so hard to maneuver around there with stuff in all of the isles lately.The staff is always so helpful and most of them will go above and beyond to help.

I asked an associate for help in finding an item and was told I worked in food section so I really dont know and walked away, so much for taking ownership, next associate immediately said it was sold out, didnt take the extra step and check inventory and continued with a previous social conversation . They both have a good future in retail....The web site said it was in Stock? Thats why I chose this store. Waste of time, not worth complaining to management... Bought It at competitor store. Will I be back again, maybe ... Naaaa...I like customer service and employees with a smile in their vioce and who actually like to help people.

I like menards. I couldnt find the right humidifier filter. The lady clerk was alittle put out that she had to help me . Face making and mumbling. ????. I am 75yrs old I am not as sharp as I used to.

Its a decent Menards. Ive been to a several different Menards in WI and MN, once you learn the layout its easy peasy to get in and grab whatever you need quickly. Ive always found the staff to be helpful, even when I have seen other customers acting up or behaving poorly. I also LOVE their menards.com pick up option!! It has been a total game changer for project planning in our house!

Good store. Would give 5 stars if I did not have to see MyPillows on the shelf.

Bought 52 of the pre built fence panels for my privacy fence. Half of them were not built properly, pickets being 2” longer than the 2x4, 2x4 longer than the panel, some panels only had 1 nail in each picket. Should not have to cut down a pre built panel to have the fence built properly. Will not shop here again after receiving that kind of quality in a product.

Bought wood online, paid for it, arrived to pick it up and they didnt have it left in stock. Super frustrating. Would have given a lower rating, but the lumber yard workers were very helpful and nice.

Theyve got a lot of stuff that I wasnt expecting to find here, you can find just about anything. Staff has always been helpful in finding and obtaining product; it is, however, very easy to get lost the first few times you visit, especially if you dont visit hardware stores very often.

Use to go here all the time, over home depot or other similar stores. Wont be going here ever again and just went to home depot today instead, twice actually. Was at menards for 5 min before 2 separate employees asked about my mask and I said NO, I DONT NEED ONE. They do not care about disabilities or anything like that, they would rather you not come there. No problem, u lost business for that mask BS, FOREVER! The 2 times I went to Home depot today or any store ever for that matter they didnt say anything. Sure they can refuse for any reason, but I can never shop there, they will loose business over it, get bad reviews, so jokes on them. There is other places to go. Screw u menards.

Worst experience. Spent time going through pieces of lumber to find usable pieces while the two boys working ignored me so they could focus on putting away new pieces. I then asked Micheal about having it cut and he told me to go to where they do that. Um...how am I suppose to know where that is??? After asking for better information he told me to go through various doors and make various turns and wait in the cold for someone else. The guy who showed up was less than helpful as well and was obviously unhappy about my request. Tried to continue shopping but while looking for brackets a worker was so inconvenienced with me looking at products in his work space he almost hit me with a wooden board. Needless to say I left empty handed.

Going back to the one in beloit --- you can find stuff there and the people know where things are when you ask

I am sure the inside of the store is just fine but the yard area is way to small. Its crowded and difficult to maneuver in with a TT delivery.Yard workers were very pleasant, which I can not say the same for the manager I dealt with.All in all not bad.

No complaints about pricing or availability, I just wish they did a better job of sanitizing carts. I didnt take a cart the last 2 times I went in but yesterday I was getting more so I needed one. Had to wait for the unhappy looking employee to wipe the cart, which was just a rag wipe down with no spray. It mostly just seemed like a typical wiping it dry from the mist of rain, like another shopper had also noticed.

Way to big, cashiers are not worth having there, if I have to bag my stuff myself, might as well be checking myself out, no help whatsoever, never even mentioned the rebate or where to get a form for one

Huge variety of items but customer service is awful! Avoid the painting area I always have had bad experiences there. I stopped by today, I asked one of the employees Heidi where could I find paint for appliances, she started to explain but I told her if she could show me instead, she rolled her eyes at me and took me there, then I picked my paint and went to to counter to ask her of she could shake it for me, I stood there for about 5 minutes before she decided to ask me if I needed anything else. I always feel discriminated in this store, specially in the painting area. Please hire better people, people that is willing to do their jobs.

Terrible experience at Menards in Janesville, WI. Ordered NEW kitchen light online. Went to pick up. Guy wanted to argue with me - stating that I ordered a display light - not NEW, boxed item. I ordered new light; not display light that everyone tugged on. Employee was arrogant. I told him I wanted refund. Spent 45 minutes trying to get money back. Then they wouldnt give me back a pick up fee because their employee had to retrieve the DISPLAY light I didnt order/want. Terrible experience.

Wood products not in stock in lumber yard. The manager on duty at lumber desk was less than helpful in helping me find the correct products. Computer said plenty were in stock but no associate or manager cold help me find the lumber I paid for. Very unorganized

Menards has always been a good experience Im just very disappointed that they are allowing way too many people in their store to enter at once. With this covid 19 it is not worth any amount of money if someone got sick due to the managers neglegience.

Buy quality, go to best buy, or home depot. This place has junk that didnt pass quality control at the factory, or saw mill that made it.

Stop enforcing masks!!! There are some of us who absolutely cannot wear a mask!! I canceled an $1100 order with you because a lady insisted I put one on! I have allergy induced asthma, which means most days I cannot breathe. Putting on a mask drops my oxygen levels and I end up needing a breathing treatment at the hospital. I will no longer be using your stores for any of my home improvement needs! You are absolutely ridiculous!

Not a fan of Menards forcing the public to wear facemasks in their store. As a doctor, I have seen enough scientific evidence that supports a more balanced approach (letting people wear them if they are nervous and dont want to be exposed). We have studies looking at potential positive and negative effects of face-masks, but out of respect for people that are nervous about wearing them, or feel that this is creating a false sense of security for some and an abnormal fear of a fairly benign virus for others, I dont think it is Menards job to go to the extremes like this. For now, Home depot and Farm and Fleet, etc. will get my business and I hope they go back to being consumer-friendly soon!

I was very not impressed with the customer service at this store. I was in the store not wearing a mask when one of the managers confronted me. In a rude tone, she asked me if I had a mask and proceeded to inform me that if I didnt have one I would either have to buy one or leave the store. I told her I thought it was a little dumb that they didnt provide masks when they require their customers to wear them, and she said in an even ruder voice that I could call the corporate office about it. I will not be shopping at this Menards again.

Lines get pretty long sometimes but other than that Ive never had an issue.

Love this store but detest the checkout process. The only store I know that is so inefficient with time during checkout. The clerk is done and standing there watching me bag when I could be using my credit card. People are waiting as I bag and then I still need to pay for it. There is a reason no other stores check out like this. It is so inefficient and embarrassing.

Great shopping at Menards. I like that they are open for early risers. I stopped in several departments yesterday. Each department there was one or two people who asked me if I needed help. Once I sought out a salesperson because I saw her first. She helped me find the product I wanted and stayed close to point out the things on both sides of the aisle. I really appreciate that I can buy things made in America. That is important to me and my family. At the checkout, the girl was not very friendly but it was early so maybe she was still warming up. I shop Menards for the good sales offered and I use my Menards credit card too. I feel happy to be able to choose Menards to shop at close to my location. I think their website needs improvement though. Its not user friendly.

Bravo for requiring face masks. Those complaining are out of line. So many would still be alive, or not infected, if people did this on their own. When you leave it up to those around you, you witness first hand how little they care about surroundings.As for it not being required by leadership, that is because many are oligarchy, and you know it. Leaders are responsible for a lot wrong, and this pandemic would of been over long ago, if they initially acted appropriately.Oh and we too have a family of doctors and are very involved in medicine. Subspecialty actually, and there isnt a single expert IN THIS field of study, who believes its appropriate to not wear a mask in public. If you have conditions making this difficult, there are options available to you, so you arent potentially affecting those around you.Its your responsibility to take those steps. Not assume and take risks with yourself, and others near, by avoiding wearing a mask. That is insensitive and reckless.

Customer service today was not good, everybody acted like they were to busy to help, and were standing around talking to each other. Ordered lumber nobody around to assist in loading it so my boyfriend jumped on the fork lift himself and loaded it himself. Others came to ask him to load their items as well! Where’s the staff? Nowhere! To busy being social with each other to assist the customer. I damn sure won’t be back to this location!
