I have used Professional Automotive since the first time I needed to take my car in . They have always been professional and very helpful. I have been satisfied with the cost and they have always contacted me if they find some that needs done. They definitely go above and beyond.

Not to bad of a place, the guy with the long beard seems to be the owner maybe was wonderful. Didnt have a terrible experience and did get my oil change done there even after they left all the bolts detached on my wifes car after fixing the cooling fan. Was a little alarming but he made it right and got it taken care of. Will go back because of the customer service.

I went here because it was close to home and an old friend of mine ran the front. Shortly after dropping it off, he quit and all the problems began. For 3 weeks they had my vehicle. 2 of those weeks they were telling me the key was lost and they would have one made and get me in right away. They started screening my calls and hanging up or leaving me on hold everytime I called. They finally found the key and did a basic inspection of my vehicle. They wrote up many unnecessary faults with my vehicle. Several of them werent even faults at all. The average customer would not know they are being taken advantage of which is down right wrong. I am a former auto tech which they probably didnt know. I ended up pulling my vehicle from there and dropped it off at warehouse tire after seeing how they were trying to do me. The bill at warehouse was cheaper and they were actually honest about what I need.

I am forever grateful for the employees at professional automotive! I have been going to them for years! They have helped me so many times when I was in a bind due to a vehicle being down. They are always super friendly and upfront about the what needs to be done, why and the cost! I would recommend them to everyone!

Guys do great work there and the customer service is above and beyond. They even owned up to a mistake by not calling me to repair some thing and decided not to charge me for it unlike other places. Prices are high, But they don’t cut corners.

I’ve used their service for awhile, but since the owner passed away and started under new management they have single handed ruined the engine of my car. I went in for a basic 100,000 mile tune-up in December 20 upon their recommendation. Since that time it has broken down 4x and has had to have the computer replaced, engine sensors fail, and now won’t run after $2000 spent.Update: the owner has been helpful in resolving the issues noted. He had taken it upon himself to repair the engine on his own personal time and on his expense. He was very helpful in doing what he felt was right and fixing the problem. Staff shortages and finding dependable staff is challenging in this industry and everywhere.

They were professional and did a digital inspection, which I suppose is more in depth. Inspection was affordable. I will be bringing the next car I am considering buying here to have everything checked out. It took about 30 minutes but again that was an in depth inspection, worth the time and money, to know whats wrong with your vehicle. Everybody was friendly. Went in for a car inspection. Took longer than I thought it would but considering how busy they were at the time and that they remained friendly I was impressed enough to write this.

The staff at Professional Auto Service could not have been more professional, helpful, and informative with complete explanation of the problems with our auto every step of the way. CASEY is the person I spoke with several times and my XRS was there at their place since before Christmas 2020 awaiting, as it turned out, the placement of a new engine. They found one and gave me detailed costs and the choices I had. When I decided around the 22nd of Jan. 21 that I was not going to be able to get it paid for, due to the Covid and other factors, we had the car towed home to St. James, MO. Casey still offered to place an engine in the car later If I found one on my own. He went out of his way on MULTIPLE phone calls always explaining all of my choices. They could have charged me for parking it there for so long, but they didnt! I can bring a different car by if I decide to go that route to have them check it out before buying! Who does that?? Did a great job of getting my car in and out and I would definitely take my car back there again if I need any major work done to it. Good guys work here, they are nice and help you as much as they can. Being a fellow man of the trade I can say that these guys are some of the best. Theyve done my exhaust 3 times now cause I cant make up my mind and never did I have a problem. Buddy of mine needed engine work and they got him running in a day when another shop told him 2-3 days.

I can’t recommend this place enough!! As a female, it has taken me a long time to find a place that I feel like honestly works with me to get only the problems I need on my vehicles fixed. In the past I’ve taken my vehicles to shops around the Jefferson City area to be diagnosed with tons of different things that may not be necessary or be related to the problem I am experiencing. With Professional Automotive however, they thoroughly explain the problems I am having with my vehicles and treat me with respect. They also get me in within a week of when I call them. This is my go to place if I’m having any vehicle problem!

I needed exhaust on my truck and called to get an appointment set up, they quickly got me in for service. I showed up early and was accommodated in the waiting area. Guys are professionals, and got me in quickly. They did the exhaust just the way i wanted it to look and sound! I need more mechanical work done soon and will definately be returning to their shop! You guys do amazing jobs, and are very good at what you do, but also overpriced. $360 for a full set of ceramic brake pads.. without doing the rotors? Thats ridiculous. A shop across town will do full ceramic pads and turn the rotors for $220 love you guys but your prices are getting far too steep.

They take the time to explain things to you. They give you honest recommendations on how to best fix your vehicle.

Jeremy is the best! I’ve gone to him for years. Tonight he went above and beyond by answering his cell at 9pm when my car unexpectedly stopped working. Tried to talk me through things over the phone but then remembered I had AAA, and said get them to tow it to his shop and he will meet me there so I could use his loaner vehicle until he could fix mine. He is the nicest friendliest person and the guys in the shop are also pretty cool and efficient. They will never lose my business, even though I live in Columbia and this is in Jeff City.

Fast oil change and friendly customer service by Casey. One thing I didn’t appreciate was hearing the garage mechanic call my vehicle a POS because he didn’t like the make and model. I questioned the comment and Casey politely explained the mechanic’s point of view but I still feel they should be aware that the customer can hear them talking in the garage.

Had an appointment for an inspection 12:00pm and was out by 12:15!!!!! Technician was very friendly, courteous and thorough. I went back a week or so later on another matter and he remembered me although they see a high volume of customers, I was very impressed.

Dropped in today with an exhaust problem. The timing was great because they got me right in. They were super helpful. Pointed out some things that needed taking care of later and gave clear explanations for their reasons for mentioning it while showing me. Big thumbs up for quick, friendly service.

Had my oil changed and requested they look at a rubber smell I was having. Knowledge team, polite/friendly. Changed my oil, aired up tires, told me about a gasket leak and took a ride with me to see if the smell was still there as it had went away. No pressure sales on anything. Even suggested I take the truck back to Chevy on the gasket since it was still under warranty. Would recommend.

I brought my KIA in because of a check engine light. After several fruitless attempts at diagnosing the problem, we discovered that the engine was fried due to a timing issue. Total bummer. However, Jeremy the owner worked with me on the cost of the work he had already done attempting to diagnose and we came to a conclusion that was really amenable and generous. It is very rare to work with a mechanic service with this much integrity. I will absolutely be returning for maintenance on my other vehicles. Five stars.

I used to love this place. Now the new owner seems to just want money. He charged me more than Ive ever paid for an oil change and I even brought my own oil. I love the techs there but will not be returning. No reason to go there if the dealership will give me the same thing for less money.Edit: I guess I wasnt clear after reading the owners responseto my review, I could have gone to the dealership and spent the same amount of money and had a better service. I did not mean I could bring my oil into a dealership. However anywhere will let you bring your own oil. Any person who tells you you cant bring your own oil to a shop is an idiot and you should not ever go to them. The owners response to my review is enough to prove that no one should go to him.

Jeremy, casey and crew were able to take my truck, work on it and delivery it next day. I was in Jefferson city for a training session when it broke down, my only day available to pick it up was Saturday even though that they supposed to be closed, Casey open that day just to give me my truck.
