Found suit in my husbands size in the big & tall section. Also dress shoes. Person at checkout was knowledgeable and pleasant . We were shopping for husbands fathers funeral. She even said sorry for your loss.

Disappointed with the selection of clothes and jewelry. I understand there are issues with the supply chain universally; but based on the online browsing, I thought a store in a capital city would have a better selection.

We have had our jewelry serviced and repaired there for 7 years and just this last time was I not pleased. They had my wifes wedding set for over three months and couldnt tell me when it would come in. I had to find paperwork from seven yrs ago to prove I paid for a protective plan on the PLATINUM band. Who wouldnt have gotten a plan? Why after seven years did I get sideways reactions. I do not know.

I hadnt been to JC Penney in a few years, but went in recently while Christmas shopping. It looks a little like a discount store these days... Im not complaining because I like the prices, but it just had a while different vibe than it used to.

JC Penny Salon I the best!

The employees here are outstanding compared to all other stores Ive been to! One lady helped me find an outfit for court cause I had no idea what to wear. Another lady behind a desk near the salon watched my baby so I could use the restroom. All of them ask if you need assistance and have a great attitude when helping you!! The only thing that could be better are the prices.

I was waited on by the same lady that has worked there over twenty years. An Italian immigrant to this country. I was happy to see her. Always great sales. Pennys layout has gotten a bit confusing over the years, but you keep that little lady working there, Ill keep stopping by every time Im in the state visiting.

They had a lot of great deals especially for the christmas holiday. I was able to get alot of gifts and saved over $400 with the sales. Love it!

Store was basically empty. Employees were hard to find for help with the items I was hunting down from their big sale catalog. Finally an associate showed after I had found everything I was looming for--except one item: a vacuum cleaner featured in the catalog for a good price; was told they dont keep in stock, have to order & takes 4 days to get in store. Ended up ordering the item elsewhere for the same price with free delivery to my door.I dont wonder that the once-very good JCP is struggling.

Nice selection of plus size womens clothes. They always have a great sale! Its the one place I can buy brand name clothes and I know it will be affordable.

It is usually a toss of the dice when shopping there.... good reasonable prices one day and the next they may be pricey. Products are of good quality. Hope they stay in business.

Good deals if you hit the right sales. The aggravating part is everything is on sale from an outrageous starting price. I find that method of marketing annoying. I think good price to start with is the way to go. I dont need a bright green sign telling me those socks are normally 75 dollars but are now on sale for 3.99.

Went in to check out their Foundry selections. Found some shirts I liked, but needed them in Navy blue. Unfortunately, they didnt have the color in stock, so Ill check online or at my next visit. They did have some decent clothes at a decent price, which is rare for the Big and Tall lines.

Sales are great as well as staff. My daughter brings me shopping here frequently. Love this store!

I have spent a lot of money at this store and just as I was ready to spend ANOTHER $200 on clothes for my son, a security guard starts to follow me around the store. Im sorry but being made to feel as though I am a thief after, again, all the money Ive spent in just this store, does not bode well with me. Im usually there every day on my break and buy something EVERY DAY. Im giving one star bc most of the time, I am greeted with such hospitality. And you guys have my most favorite purse I just found today... BUT, next time, if Im going to be followed and made to feel as though Im a thief, maybe he can carry the items that Im purchasing! I really wish this security guard wouldnt have made me feel like he did. I understand that he has a job to do and that many people a day get followed, but I guess I just felt offended bc Ive never stolen anything and to just demean me to a petty thieflevel is demoralizing. I truly hope this gets fixed.

My experience at shopping JC Penneys in Jefferson City was a good experience of course theres plenty of parking its in the mall. My associate that worked with me and helped me find my purchases that I needed was a very caring employee. She made sure that I got the best deal that I could that day. Also while I was there in the shoe department I was just shopping and I actually had somebody ask are you doing okay I told her yes I am and thank you because you dont get asked that too often anymore.

Was going to a wedding and needed a lot of items. I found everything I needed for my outfit and the prices were unbelievable.

The dont carry my size 30×30 tried 6 visits and let down wont go there again

Id say this is the best department store in Jeff City. A very good variety in womens and mens. By variety, Im talking about style, color, and price. I buy my work clothes and accessories here. There are always great sales. I can never find shoes in my size though.

I went into this store in February to order a pair of sandals for my brothers wedding in May. I had returned a pair for being to small, so I needed to exchange them for a bigger size. We put the money onto a gift card to reorder them, that gift card was a penny short so she had me put a dollar on another gift card so she could order them for me. The lady who had ordered them said that everything had went through and that they should be here within a few weeks. After a month of not hearing anything, I went into the store for the shoes. Well they weren’t there. Fast forward to April and they STILL weren’t there. I got the number for the online store given to me. I called them and they said my order wasn’t placed due to insufficient funds! I then went into JCPenney for a refund since they just took my money and gave me no shoes! I was told it would be under investigation and I would be told something by the next week. Next week came and NOTHING. I went back to the store, none of the on duty managers knew anything about it so I got told again to leave my name and number and they’d look into it. Fast forward to TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE WEDDING and my 12th attempt for my shoes and YET AGAIN NOTHING. They knew about it but couldn’t do anything because the lady who checked us out wasn’t there and no one even talked to her about it! Now 2 days before the wedding they still couldn’t give me the shoes nor my money to go get some kind like it from Walmart. 2 weeks after the wedding I went back in since I was already in the mall and I stood there for about a hour for them to figure out what was going on. I was then told that they would put the money back onto my card and that they didn’t need it to put it back on. Well it’s not the end of July and I still have no shoes nor my money back. I won’t be ordering from them again and most likely won’t be in shopping.

They have moved things all around. Dont seem to have as much variety as they used to. Did get some good buys on sale items.
