Unfortunately there were no staff available to help us with anything, we continued to peruse for our shopping list regardless however help came from nowhere only to scold us for being in the exterior area without assistance. There is no sign saying to ask for help not that we could find any if we had. We were going to purchase a large stock tank and several large canopies spending at least a couple of thousand dollars however after the extremely rude interaction with the staff we decided to spend our money at Lowe’s sorry Charlie you lost a big spending customer for life. Hope you find better employees for the sake of your store.

This was my first time visiting the Orschelns in Jefferson City, it is a very nice store with a variety of things useful across the spectrum. My son needed rubber boots for work, and thought to check Harbor Freight, which was a big no. I told him I have an idea and drove up to Orschelns, where he found boots very quickly, exactly what he needed to keep his feet dry at work. I availed myself of the opportunity to rest at an outside-style table at the front of the store, as it was a hot day, and Im still recuperating from a major illness. If youve never been to an Orschelns store, come on in, you might be surprised at what they have available!

Used to really enjoy this store and bought quite a bit there. However, I was very upset to see they are selling Bradford pear trees (renamed to Cleveland pear on the tag - they keep renaming so you dont realize how invasive it is). Its a known invasive species that is taking over. They are planted by birds eating the fruit!! Native trees and plants dont stand a chance against these trees that get a jump start on them in spring. We have many endangered birds and pollinators because of invasive trees and plants like these. Please stop carrying invasive species!!!

I have never had a bad experience at Orschelns. The staff is always cordial and helpful when I have a question.

I will never again shop here!! Friday morning I went to check out, total was 94$. Upon running my debit card was told there was only 79.14 available. So while transferring another 50$ to my account I notice the 79.14 disappear from my account. Assuming I had to pay remaining balance of 15$ I moved the 50$ to my account and then watched it disappear from my account. Meanwhile orscheln tried telling me that I still owed 44$ 😂😂 so I left empty handed, while corporate tried to keep telling me it was pending transaction and it would go back on my account. Even though I was showing them proof that it had in fact posted! So Ive been robbed of 129.14 by orscheln. Not only that, also caused my card to be canceled and messed up entire months auto pay on everything, and has me overdrawn 75$ through my bank. I WILL BE CALLING THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU tomorrow on them. Absolutely absurd and unprofessional

I grew up with Orscheln. Loved going there as a kid. Love shopping there now as an adult.

It was horrible was followed around like I was stealing when I didnt have anything in my hands to even steal. Then since my husband had went to the car because he got fed up with being followed around i walked out to the car and two guys one was a older guy and one was a younger guy was sitting there watching our car and said you know we have cameras everywhere in our store right? And I said yes that I knew that and had they not literally been accusing us of being thieves before they knew for 100% that we did steal something was taking our business else where I have been in many of orschelns and never have i had a store treat us like that. Feel really disrespected and consider there treatment Completely rude and disturbing. So if i could give them 0 stars I would. Will never visit that store again.

The staff were friendly and eager to help. They offered suggestions but werent pushy. The did everything necessary to ensure a good experience and a successful transaction.

Love this place. Im glad they moved and I hope it helps get even more business. I replace my electric dog collar batteries here and its sometimes cheaper than tractor supply. Always fun to see the chickens and ducks when theyre out as well.

I’m in love with the new store. They have just about everything!! Cute clothes, boots for all ages, and anything you need for home or farm. Staff was helpful, bathrooms are much nicer at new place. I struggled getting help as a wander the new store “lost”. This typically isn’t the issue but probably has more to due with the fact they are still stocking shelves. Love the new location and love having a bigger farm store with a bigger selection.

Employee singled me out and followed me through through the store. Told me I shouldnt have my dog jump on the potting soil and hay(pet friendly store), so i told him i would stop and he needed to stop following me around however. I have Autism so this came across as very threatening and I told him to stop at least 5 times before yelling it in front of a crowd and only then did he stop because everyone was staring at him. At one point when i had lost him while trying to find my significant other in the store he purposely went around the store looking for me. I went outside and my significant other went in to find out why he had been following me around and they had no explanation.

The store is awesome. Employees are very good. You can ask a questions and they are very willing to help.

Went in and purchased bird seed at a good price. Got it even cheaper than advertised.

Store is huge. Problem is they dont need even half of that space so ten minute walk for an extension cord and a wheel barrel.

If you need farm or outdoor stuff its an ok store to go to. It may have been the particular day I went, but there were no employees to be seen. Not ideal when you need help with a product.

Great ladies helped us. Just wish they had more wind spinners that stood in the ground. Traded my Christmas present for dog food cause they wouldnt do a gift card and didnt have many to exchange a deck only kind with. :(

I think I found my new favorite store for toy shopping. I know it sounds silly but I dont have time with 5 kids to go down every toy isle at Wal-Mart. This is easy and fast. Very fair prices too. Oh and cant forget the clearance racks!

I swore I would NEVER return to this store due to the rude behavior of the older employees there. I bought a battery for my mower, one that one of their sales clerks said was for my model. It was not and I tried to return it. This older woman at the counter got rude with me and then stood there and told a lie about my reason for returning it to the manager who refused to take it back. I was so angry that I walked out of the store and left it behind. Im the type of person who says and does things that they regret later. Had I stayed they would have called the cops on me. Besides that me leaving it there forced her to do something with it. By forcing a lazy person to do something that they dont want to do you ruin their day. She was probably mad about that battery for a good two days.Not too much later they had an excellent sale on Gun Safes. They had one there just exactly like I wanted. I swallowed my pride and went back. The older woman who lied on me was at the checkout. The safe cost about $900.00 . She had this Got look on her face like she was thinking But I thought he was a bum!!!???? I wanted to tell her;You work in a store that deals with farmers and people who work outdoors. You, better than anyone else, should know that your customers are not always going to come in here dressed in their Sunday best.When I need something from Orschelns I now drive to Hermann MO. The employees there are friendly and dont make up lies on you because they are too lazy to take something back. The Herman Store is nine miles further than I would have to drive to get to the one in Jefferson City.

Orscheln Farm and Home is a good place to shop not just for your horse feed but dogs cats they also have absolutely gorgeous clothing for women. They have clothing for men children they have boots. They have gorgeous jewelry right at the front door to entice you LOL. This particular Orscheln Farm and Home is moving from the location that they are in now to a better location which is right across from Applebees and Hobby Lobby on Missouri Boulevard with ample parking. They do have one side for rent or lease. They are located in the same parking lot that Ruby Tuesdays is in
