I have had several dealing with these guys, if there is a problem they will always try to make it right. I have always preferred stores that are not a part of a big corporation. If you are looking for some quality vintage gear, this is the first place I would look.

I just discovered this shop after Fender directed me to them for amp warranty work after a bad experience with a long established shop in Columbia where I live. I brought the amp in and my Strat for some fret work. Evan and Phil were both just amazing from the start. Communicated same day about the issue on the amp and had my fretwork done faster than I’d ever heard of! I play a vintage radius with a relatively high action. Techs never get my set up close to where I like it. I get it. Most just want it as low as it will go without buzz, which is uniform standard. I want it high enough that I can “get under it” and want a bit of bounce, etc. Very nebulous feel related stuff. Evan asked a lot of questions and I was very pleased to find my guitar nearly perfect at pickup- I ended up raising the G about a quarter turn, but that’s better than Ive gotten ever before. I’ll be gladly making the drive from Columbia to get my work done at Rosewood going forward.

If you want a music store where the folks in it actually know good gear, instruments, provide professional repair (fast as hell I might add), and do it all for the most reasonable prices in the whole damn state...then this place is for you. This will ALWAYS be my music shop for everything I need. The owner never tells you what you want to hear, but what you need to hear which always leaves you more knowledgeable than when you came in. This is not the big box store/blow smoke just to make the sale kind of place, this is one of the few high caliber establishments left on this Earth. Come find out why, you wont regret it.

I dropped off my Flatiron Mandolin that was poorly set up from original purchase (not in Jefferson City) and turned it over to Rosewood Music with the instructions of, do what you can. I had not played this instrument in over a year. Rosewood did an outstanding job in lowering the action and setting this instrument up properly. It is amazing what a pro can do to improve the playability of a good instrument. I have been enjoying playing this mandolin again because now I dont have to muscle my way around the frets. What a pleasure! Additionally, he had the work completed the day I dropped it off. Thanks Rosewood.

And theyre not snooty like the goobertards at other music stores. Theyre happy to help you find exactly what youre looking for or theyll order it for you at a great price. And if its broke...
