Grounded Coffee Cafe is what an ideal coffee shop is. Staff with a true interest in the barista art, indoor and outdoor seating with a well-lit and bright with a slightly rustic indoor look. A diverse coffee menu that changes up its brew of the day with gorgeous pastries.I went out on a limb and tried a cold brew as a first time visitor. That cold brew did not disappoint. Strong and bitter-free! I was shocked and elated that the sugar station has stevia for those of us who cant use all of the other sugar. That made me want to cry with joy. Rarely, very rarely, will you find a coffee shop that has stevia!While checking out I noticed this gorgeous almond croissant sprinkled with powdered sugar. I passed on it, but as I walked out, I couldnt stop thinking of it and decided to go back and get it. The pastry has some sort of cream inside of it and was flaky and delicious!Grounded Coffee Cafe was also extremely clean and very reasonably priced when looking for coffee.I strongly recommend Grounded Coffee Cafe and will definitely return.

After living in south Florida for many years I consider myself an expert on Cuban sandwiches. The Cuban at the Grounded is excellent and authentic

We went there a while ago and loved it. However, we tried to go several times the past few months and it has been closed on Sundays though the Google listing indicated they were open.

I was just passing down Jefferson Highway this morning and it was pretty cold outside! I saw this little coffee shop on the side of the road and decided to give them a try. I am so glad that I did! The people are very friendly and the coffee is delicious to say the least! I also tried a bacon egg and cheese croissant which was out of this world! Ill definitely be back to visit again and you should too! Great place!

This will be my donor’s aunt & I spot for dining after appointments at the hospital from now on. It’s a nice cozy cafe with great staff. I love that you have the option to dine outside. I had the club sandwich and it was very delicious. Thanks Grounded coffee cafe!

Very nice staff. Good coffee and the food menu looked impressive and tasty though I did not get anything to eat. I would definitely go back, with our without the first responders discount (though I do always appreciate it)

The staff were friendly and helpful and the coffee and food were delicious. They also mandated masks for anyone not eating. The only minus was that they were playing Christian music which isnt welcoming for many Christians and anyone from any other religion. Also, the parking lot is gravel, so it may be difficult for some disabled people to get into the building.

Everything there is delicious. The sandwich are good and the coffee is amazing.

Not happy with this place. Charging credit card fees for customers paying with debit card is really not cool and frowned upon by Visa and Mastercard. Asked for a copy of my receipt and got one that isnt itemized. Coffee started leaking through the side of my coffee cup had to get a different cup. My plain cream cheese tasted like it had onions in it. Just very unimpressed with what I got for my money. Honestly if they raised their prices by a nickel or dime or something and got rid of the credit card fee that would really help their image in my book. If your credit card processing fees are too high get a better processor.

Im so happy this place is in my neighborhood. I love the coffee, all sandwiches and bagels are yummy, and its a great place to bring your kids, meet with friends or just have some time away from everyone. Highly recommend this place and wish them all the best!

I wont be coming back. Two employees were not wearing masks. Initially I wasnt bothered by it since there was plexiglass separating me and the cashier. But then the two individuals went by the coffee machinery and what I assume to be the ice machine. I would highly recommend not ordering coffee or drinks from this place due to the disregard of CDC guidelines. If youre not going to wear a mask you shouldnt be near areas where other peoples food and drinks are made. There was a third employee wearing a mask that was preparing food which made me feel safer ordering a sandwich. Even though I always make it a point to eat at local restaurants as much as I can, I think your money is better spent supporting places that follow CDC guidelines.PS If you work here and your boss isnt giving you a mask to use let me know and I can give you one. I know times are tough and masks can get pricey. I dont want to assume yall werent wearing a mask out of ignorance when it could be for other reasons

The Chicken Salad Sandwich on a Croissant was very small. The Croissant was toasted a bit too hard. The Chicken Salad was fresh, not enough chicken, too much chunky onion, celery and grapes. One pickle wedge came with it. No Chips and No Drink . We purchase 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks almost 30 bucks. First and Last time

I enjoyed a delicious turkey, avacado, and cheese on 7 grain bread today for lunch, and along with a regular coffee while passing by Ochsner hospital on Jefferson HWY this afternoon . The friendly service by Beth at the counter and seeing the co-owner Heidi was a pleasant plus . I always like to stop for a visit when I am in the area for a relaxing, peaceful, delicious meal served with a smile from a friendly face . :)

We found this gem by happy accident after getting off the bus two hours too early for a day of tests at Ochsner West Jefferson Hospital. Very happy and properly caffeinated, I understand why all of the medical personnel come here instead of drinking in-house coffee. Great brew, great atmosphere, extremely friendly staff.

One and done. Just over paid for a blt minus the avocado. Thin bland tomato. Hardly any lettuce. Bread stale and hard. Bacon rubbery. Mayo weak flavor. Staff friendly.

Best coffee shop in the area. Have been here twice now and hope to make it a regular adventure. Fiance is a big fan of iced mocha coffees, and I have to say I actually enjoy theirs. The coffee is complimented by the mocha and milk not masked like most places. They have a nice selection of hot coffees that I plan to try all of. So far the Guatemala Antigua is my favorite. So smooth it would almost be a sin to use sugar or cream. We split the Cuban Panini, so good. Crisp bread and melt in your mouth pork. There was no shock when they let us know they go through great length making the pork.

Love this place! They make the best Iced Americanos in town, and knew my order and the way I liked it within two times of going! It feels good to be a regular so quickly. Such nice people, and great quality coffee!

The dark roast coffee was great, the bacon,egg,& cheese on croissant was amazing. My friend had a yogurt & fruit parfait with hibiscus tea and loved it. It is very close to Ochsner Hospital, and the Brent House Hotel which made us choose it.I will go back when I go to Ochsner again.

Great relatively new spot in Jefferson. Space for doing some work or studying with wifi, good for a small meeting, socializing, or relaxing. Pastries and lunch-type items, like a roast beef sandwich, including to go. Full range of coffee and espresso drinks: hot, iced, frozen. Teas and bottled drinks, too. 10+ tables and a small couch. Nice place with good music at the right volume.

We have very mixed feelings about this cafe. We were there for 4 days in a row and have eaten through the map. The positive first:+ nice staff+ good quality food+ good, balanced selectionWhat we did not like:- unorganized staff- long waiting times- and unfortunately really overpriced: - /$ 5 for a HALF bagel with nutella and 4 slices of banana. Over $ 6 for ONE slice of cheap toast with a, unfortunately, very thin layer of avocado. Sorry! No Go! The drinks prices are completely average. But the portions for the money really much too small. Pity! The cafe has otherwise a nice, neighbor charm :-)
