I found a really good deal on a used retron 5. But i was pretty disappointed in there selection of genesis and snes games though

For a retro and modern gamer this is my favorite store ever! They usually have just what I need and cheaper than GameStop, they have games from Atari, and Dreamcast, to PS5! The staff is amazing and always help me and ask if I’m looking for anything. They don’t have certain games though like PlayStation all stars. But I understand why because it’s a used game store

I used to love shopping in this store. My sons and I were regulars and bought a lot there over the years. Last week a manager put a boxed ice blue Nintendo 64 on hold for me, put my name on it. I checked a few days later to make sure they knew I still wanted it and was told I would be called on Saturday to come get it. On Saturday I got no call. At 10:20 I called to let them know I was on the way to pick my console up. The new manager Sam lied to me, saying he called me twice, he never called me, and that since he didnt reach me, he called someone named Justin to pick it up instead. He said he had to call Jake the regional manager to find out what to do. I called a few minutes later and he said it was now whoever got there first would get to buy my console, even though he had never called me to give me a real chance to buy this thing that was on hold with my name on it FOR A WEEK because Saturday was the first day they could sell it. I drove up to watch Justin sneaking out of the store looking like he had stolen my Nintendo 64, which from my perspective, he did with Manager Sams help. I went into the store and told Sam he had lost me as a customer and Sam rudely replied that was ok because he didnt want me for a customer. I complained above his head and was given a $50 gift card but they were asking $180 for a console that I cant buy off ebay for less than $500, so this was insufficient compensation for Sams blunder and for his poor customer service, his lies and his attitude towards a customer that has purchased over the years in the thousands of dollars. Sam should be fired and i will no longer shop at Game Exchange nor will I recommend them while Sam is still employed there. To any regular customers, the awesome Sarah, Knight, and Nick are gone, and d-bag Sam will screw you over. Avoid this joke of a store.

Super great selection, I’m an avid sailor moon fan & have been able to find quite a few of the mangas for it! I’ve also buffed up my amiibo collection a lot from here, the staff is very friendly & polite

There was an employee at the Jeffersontown location who was wearing their mask incorrectly. Please ensure that all employees understand how to wear a mask correctly and do so at all times. Seeing employees wear their masks incorrectly makes me very uncomfortable and I dont want to go to places where this happens.

This is the only Game X Change location I have ever been to, but after just one visit I will certainly be returning. Not only was the staff personable and friendly, they worked with me for over an hour as I traded in an entire closet of retro games, consoles, and accessories, making sure I got the best price for every piece. I was able to turn a ton of games I dont play anymore into a new Nintendo Switch that I will definitely be using!Big thanks to Sarah and the rest of the staff!

Loved it, they had everything I need and the quality was nice and they even do repairs and buff out discs with tons of scratches and make them look brand newThis place is a collectors dream and nerds dream.

Ive been in here twice. Both times, I was astonished by the difference in prices between the X-Change, and GameStop. They dont care about the extra dollar or two from screwing you, and alienating the customer. Which has gained them one new repeat customer.

Love that he (pretty sure his name was Scott) was so willing to help because I honestly know nothing about video games. My nephew has game x change to thank! Truly a five star experience!

I never left a review but over Christmas I had a great experience. I came in with nearly no knowledge of what I was looking for, did my best to describe it. They were patient with me in figuring out what I was describing.They took the part from another n64 they had on sale to sell to me separately that I was specifically looking for to give to my brother for Christmas. That was very kind of them and they did not need to do that. Very kind and patient employees. Much better than gamestop or half price books.

I have only been going to this store for a month and really love it. I was so impressed with their customer service, knowledge, patience, and kindness during each visit. My husband is a huge gamer and was very impressed with their selection, prices, and trade-in credit offered. They were also super kind and helpful when my parents came in and I love when folks are helpful/respectful to them. I know next to nothing about games and they were patient and gave me a lot of great recommendations to get the most for our money. We are a one income household so that is always appreciated. My husband is trying to get everything together for trade in as we speak. We live in Shepherdsville and will always go here vs. places that are much closer because we liked it so much.

I love game exchange so much!!! I’ve bought like 12 just dance games there and they always provide for me. I tried to buy pets dogs 2 but they didn’t have it. They always remember me when I walk in and give me a personal greeting when I walk in which is the best!!!!! Love this location!!!!!!

A very wide selection of games with sales constantly and tons of model kits, there are always things there for me to grab. On top of the great selection, everyone is nice and seems to enjoy their jobs. All around a pleasant place to visit when looking for new and retro games!

Cheap prices for some games ie ps3 but ps2 were overprice, but bargains can be had if looking correctly

This place is great! Games, movies, models, Japanese candy and soda - what’s not to love! What I appreciate most was/is the customer service. When I was in, I interacted with Jake and another guy ( sorry man, can’t remember your name ) who were both super nice and awesome to work with. They got me the skylander stuff I was missing and even went in the back to look for things.Will most definitely return because of the service I received.

By far my favorite game store in Louisville! Huge, varied selection as they get almost all their games from trade ins and amazing prices! Beat out stores like gamestop and online retailers by several dollars on all of their used games in addition to used consoles. They also sell figurines, games, and game merch! If youre trying to find any games, systems, or hard to find addons, this is definitely the place to go!

Cluttered, cramped, full of shovelware games and bad low quality movies. I have been here 10 or 11 times and they keep a lot of the same stock on the shelves.Essentially, the business model is buy a ton of really cheap, low quality things so the store looks like it has a lot of options that keep buyers looking/browsing longer, to snag things that arent worth it or to come away thinking they at least bought something. Its empty store 101. You wont find lots of copies of good games or really good Blu-Rays here.Sometimes the cases have new items but not often. Lots of game boxes in horrible condition with tattered plastic, damaged game art/sun faded game art or missing manuals yet still higher priced. Came once a week for a while, switched to coming monthly and they still have not changed, I still see some of the same items in the cases. Store needs to curate what they put up for sale on the shelves and stop filling the store with junk items to make it look full. Same issue with the store in Outer Loop. You may snag new people once or twice or a few repeat visitors who dont buy much, but youre not going to get any long lasting support from paying customers without rotating out your poor quality selections. If you want a good example of the kind of stock they want people to buy - look no further than most of their DVDs and Wii section. And look no further than the prices on some of them.

First time there today. Super helpful staff too. Explained all their sales and where to find everything. Even brought out a box of extra items for Disney infinity so we could go thru it. Very un professional! I came in to the game exchange to sell my two phones and there was a lady that was helping me. I waited for her to stop talking to her employees for about 5 min. Never said I will be with You in a second or nothing. Then after all that they still could not help.

Decided to stop in to hunt down some older games, and that other gaming specialty store (you know the one) tends to be a little light on selection - not a knock against them, it just is what it is. Found WAY more than I bargained for. HUGE selection of older games, as well as movies and other stuff. Staff was super friendly and fun to chat with. Store itself was clean and tidy, and packed to the brim with goodies. Prices tended to more or less match the other store, but that wasnt my big focus. For those of you who build Gundam model kits... THEY HAD GUNPLA!! Lots of it, as well as some older mecha anime model kits. Will definitely be going back here!

Such a fantastic customer experience. Things have been tight lately so i had to consolidate the majority of my game and console collection regrettably. Adulting has its struggles. One of the last remnants was my entire Rock Band 4 set for xbox one and game. The staff was excited about the condition it was in, which was appreciated, and said they would post it on their Facebook. I immediately felt like I was part of a community rather than a business transaction. I received well over what I expected for trade credit, and was borderline emotional when they had Pokemon Fire Red and a Gameboy Advance SP in great condition in stock. A few pokemon pins for my high vis vest for work and it was basically an even exchange. They also had a warranty included. I left thrilled to have reconnected with my childhood, and in no way felt slightly robbed like that *other* corporate chain game store. They also assured me they had tested the batteries and legitimacy of the products. Once my trade credit that covers a few preorders due to trades dries up at ShameStop, I will likely be a full time customer here.
