It is very rare that they dont have what Im looking for and the cases they dont, theyve referred me to the nearest solution. Love this hometown hardware shop. The manikin behind the counter will not answer your questions, so dont bother.

Love this place! Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Small store service with large box store selection. I have used them several times to service my mower, chainsaws, and even my concrete saw! I have been very happy with the end results. Update: They also rent tools and some heavy machinery (wish I knew that sooner)

I always try to go to Jtown hardware and find what I need before having to resort to going to one of the big box hardware stores.It is a family owned business which means they grew up in that store they know where everything is, it’s also a great place to pick up a BBQ grill because they buy scratch and dent grills from the big box stores. My destination for new barbecue grills and griddle.

Great local hardware store. Came in yesterday, needed a 5/8 inch nut for the shank on my mower ball, was immediately greeted, told the young man what I needed, and he showed me exactly where they were. Much faster and easier than the big stores and better to support local anyway. This will be my new local hardware store.

Fast and friendly service. My wife and I have shopped here since moving to JTown and I love this place. Their selection is varied and quirky, they have things you would not expect to find so it is worth just going to look for yourselfMost recently I rented a dethatcher and bought grass seed. The gentleman that assisted me was great and really knowledgable. I definitely reccomend visiting here over the big box stores.Their firewood is incredibly inexpensive also and an awesome service to have so close to home, my wife and I love our fires in the fireplace over the winter. Im on the verge of never shopping at Home Depot or Lowes again if I keep having these great experiences.

Where everybody knows your name...better a hardware store than a bar. Ive spent a lot of money there, and Ive spent a little too. The service is always the same either way - personal and attentive. Its like having a friend in the home improvement business.

Great place to get anything you need

I love going to this place. I have gone there for multiple reasons. Lamps repaired, antique mirrors repaired for me, tool questions and demonstrations,Lots of how do I? From me. They always have an answer and take the time to really connect and explain. I am grateful that there remains a smaller space in Jtown where I know they will have excellent customer service. I’ve even sent mail and faxes.I also love just walking through the door of the renewed but still respectful space of it’s history. The bell at the door, the original flooring, the atmosphere is like an old country hardware store. I love that I’m not in the bigger stores, walking aisle after aisle trying to find something or someone to help. You won’t get that at Jtown Hardware.

Service is excellent! As soon as you walk in you are greeted and helped. Of course since this is a small local business, they don’t have the inventory one of the bigger home stores has, but they do have a lot! Also, I live down the street and I get to giggle looking at their electronic sign every morning with funny messages- starts my day off nice :)

74 cents times two. Bradley spent a great deal of time helping me get a fix for my problem. The sale came to leas than two dollars but he treated me like he was selling an expensive car. Great place to get help and support local business at the same time.

Can find them hard to find parts

Great be at a hardware store that will sell you what you need (4 of insulation ) versus a whole roll. They even have replacement handles for shovels, axes, rakes and hammers.My kind of shopping. Also the clerk was very helpful.

The day of our visit there was an artist outside. I found what I needed at the hardware store I was drawn in the store due to the Artist painting his name was Ben Stivers. Kuddos to the owner of the Hardware store for supporting the community and creative marketing.

I grew up in a smaller town, so I missed places like this after coming to Louisville. Friendly, not a huge store, but all the things youre likely to need. Great service.

I placed an order for a glass repair which I had done previously without issue. This time, I waited over a week before I heard anything, I had to call them multiple times over the next two weeks in which they told be that theyre glad supplier was behind. Finally they offered to just replace it with plexiglass instead after three weeks of sitting, so I opted for that. I picked up the glass, got it home, and realized that it was scratched and has three small cracks in it, and it did not have a protective film on it as they had told me it did. I will not be using them for glass repair or much of anything else again.

These guys know their stuff and if they can’t help you on what you need. They’ll tell you where you can get what you need or give you the name of someone who can further assist you. These guys are just great and I always enjoy my shopping experience in their Store

Tool rental has exceeded my expectations as well, everything I have rented has worked well with no issues and the tools they recommended for odd end weekend projects have helped me get the job faster and easier. I worked here in the early 90s when i went to J-town H.S. So glad this place is still here. I love that it is still family owned. Tim and Cindy Meiners have poured a lot into this place and have made some great additions to the store with tool rental and other services they didnt have before they took over. So glad to have you guys in the neighborhood and thank you for serving our city and specifically Jeffersontown.I will always get my keys cut, lawn mower blades sharpened, shovel handles fixed, bird seed, nuts, bolts, paint, and general supplies from you guys. You got it all! Plus popcorn!

M not sure if you read reviews but I had to say THANK YOU!!! I came in after a paint can explosion (apparently it does happen) left my acrylic counters covered in paint that I could NOT get off no matter what I tried. A gentleman at the store recommended Goof Off. I rushed home (not expecting much) and to my surprise it wiped right off and my counters are all white again!!!! I couldnt be happier!
