Friendly staff. Quick service. I recommend you do your research on different garments, styles and their prices before going to shop as the clothing at this store has no labels with prices. As a result, there is no way to compare and contrast at the store. May be intentional to allow for haggling or different prices for different people, who knows.

I usually only give good reviews but I have to be honest. I have bought so much stuff from this store 2 years ago in October 2019 before covid hit in March 2020. But one dress out of the many dresses that I bought was large so I was asked to leave it there for alteration. This lady and her helper refused to give me the dress back after they searched for almost 30 min - I think they sold it. When I asked for my money back sunanda refused to give it back to me and disrespected me inspite of all the business I gave her. I would not suggest this store to anyone.

Best place to shop for Indian clothing! The customer service cannot be matched. They truly care about their customers and listen to their needs and present beautiful pieces. Unlike other clothing stores I’ve been to on Oak Tree Road in Edison, where they only care about taking your money and making a profit off of you, this store genuinely wants you to find exactly what you’re looking for. The lady spent almost an hour with us showing us different designs and colors based on what we were looking for. I am really satisfied and I’m so happy to have found this place. Not to mention that the prices were also really good! Will definitely be coming back here for all of my future necessities!!!
Sunanda Kumar is more than just a Clothing & Jewelry store. It is a fun experience. Sunanda herself is such a sweetheart! I went to the store looking for a bridal lengha for myself and never felt ripped off or scammed. Her priced are reasonable and she has a limitless amount of options. Anything, and I mean anything can be customized (given the proper amount of time). I have been to many other stores and they do not compare to this store. Youll be getting great customer service and great products. Sunanda knows her stuff and will make it impossible for you to leave without what you want. My fiance and I went to Sunanda Kumar to pick out and get fitted for our Wedding Outfits. As soon as I walked in I was immediately and happily greeted by one of the workers there, Kita. Her and the owner, Sunanada, and one other employee then spent the next 4 hours working with us to figure out our perfect wedding attire..not only for us but also for our Grooms Men and Brides Maids. From helping us pick out our color palettes and desired look to sizingand fitting us for that perfect fit. They are even customizing things for us to make it exactly the way we want it. They even are customizing outfits for our children. All in all Kita and Sunanda were amazing. They spent so much time catering to us that we were all giving each other hugs to say good bye at the end. That was how good our experience was with them. If you are looking for you next amazing outfit..there is no doubt that Sunanda Kumar will more than exceed you expectations and deliver and amazing customer experience just as they did for us. Sunanda is the friendliest shop keeper in Little India and Journal Square. She has a tailor with very reasonable prices and quick turn around in less than a week.She charges $8-10 to hem shirt/jacket sleeves. Cash/debit preferred. My go to Jersey City alterations.

The salesgirl was impatient and hesitant to show more styles. Not to mention biased in choosing customers on whom to spend more time on. She chose to spend more time on a customer who came after me and they were speaking the same language. I had to wait and wait. Moreover the shop had only 1 changing room where many customers were taking turns to try on clothes. I did not feel comfortable as safety guidelines were clearly not being followed so I left the shop.

Love love the customer service here!! They’re very clean hand sanitizers that we can use to clean our hands. Pandemic friendly. I stumbled upon this store looking for kurta pajama set. I bought something I liked and needed alteration on it. I was told to leave the set with them and pick it up later. When I went to pick it up, the alterations were done terribly and they lost my pajama pants. Although they replaced me something last minute, I had a feel they don’t care about the specifications of the customer.I paid 120$ on the set which if I bought online would cost me way lesser.

Sunanda was amazing ! My sister-in- law came in looking for something wedding appropriate, and Sunanda was more than accommodating. She took her time with us, fitted us and even taught us Indian dances to help us get wedding ready! We will definitely be coming back and we are already recommending her shop.
